Yes. At the point of recording they still don't know if they'll make it or not.
In episode 1 he says he hasn't made up he's mind on how many members BabyMonster will be.
In episode 3 he straight up says, some of you will be eliminated, BabyMonster will not be a 7 member group.
In episode 8 he reveals how many members he had intended, but hasn't finalised who will get those spots. Tune inn in 2 weeks.

Ahyeon killed that hard part, if you guys notice, she added a little at the end- her own twist. Her husky deep voice is so addicting like i have no words

The First introduction video clips of each girl covering songs were released under the YG channel. It was only after the views racked up around 10 million views for each girl that YG actually launched The Baby Monster channel. Just prior to this launch, Rose released a cover song on her birthday showing only her vocals without any video. That racked up around 10 million views ahead of Baby Monster girls introduction. I think it was quite scientific with Rose's cover as a control song cover. At that point when Baby Monster channel was launched after 7 weeks of introductions that racked up 70 to 80 million views that YG decided of 7 to debut. I think likely they were thinking 5 to debut. The evaluations and selections were filmed with 5 in mind I believe. Each episode reinforced 7 to debut as fans did get on board and did dream OT7.
when you watch their teaser..its obviously that they are 7 members who will debut..cuz they show their cover of jenny from the block..and that was published..after the anouncement..so it was obvious that YG is smart to show us 1st this evaluation..as an introduction..and who will embrace them.until they debut..its called..publicity stunt..
@@okinamlokdit6287 don't forget Pink Punk was a group of 9 before the final 4 debuted as BlackPink. It is a brutal industry. Fans ultimately determine YG's decision.
