    Thank you for taking us to see these places - yes it’s sad that they have not been looked after. I know you show these places respect and do not disturb the areas - and always leave them cleaner than you find them. Thank you for sharing from Australia.

    Good video. By the way, the text on tomb is not Arabic. It is Ottoman Turkish written in Arabic alphabet.

    Good to see you again! I keep wondering if you couldn't turn your place into an Air bnb to give you extra income:) lol but that might be a pain in the arse lol. All the best!!!❤❤❤❤❤

      Good idea, but you don't want to know the rules about that! Only long term is an option.

    Correction, Otto is a German name. ottoman name written by German historians, Turks never been called Ottoman empire. Turks never used Empire word, they never had emperors only Sultans.
    Internal official name. at the beginning called Devlet-i Osmaniye, later on 1400's changed to Devlet-i Aliye.
    Foreign correspondence official title is also used Sultanate of Roma.
    Last correction is, current name is Turkiye, land of Turks. Not Turkey. Turks are not wild birds.
    Turkey is a condescendence word, used by Europeans- west only.

      Thanks I did not know the Ottoman name origin. And yes I should spell Turkiye, sorry. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. And It was Turkey most of my life. I just don't see why it's such a big deal. I also do not come from Holland 'Hollanda' I come from the Netherlands. Holland is a district in the Netherlands not the country. But it's not a big deal. I know what you mean and that's enough. Don't forget. Most of us write in our second language here.

    Unfortunately respect isnt shown towards the historical sites they could ask university to make projects of these places they could draw at plans and translate all the head stones how interesting that would be

    • @AtHomeInTurkey
      @AtHomeInTurkey  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yes it would be. But part of the charm is also that it's raw. Something you don't see anymore in western Europe.

    You have to respect the culture of other countries. Just if you were an American Indian, you wouldn't go distributing the sacred grounds of the dead ones.

    • @AtHomeInTurkey
      @AtHomeInTurkey  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I mean no disrespect. I am sorry you took it that way. I would even love to restore those places and keep them out of harms way. They are falling apart and nobody seems to care.
