It's so simple yet sounds like it has a ton of depth and things to master. I can't wait to play this later.
Really love the balance between easy and hard mechanics in this game. Yes, the game has the easy combo based system. But this will be easily voided out by the advanced players with the active switching. assist combos, DHC's, etc... That Auto run looks like its going to be messing with me the most and looks wonky. Games looking very fun and promising so far. The mechanics and combo's with all the different characters almost seems endless. Cant wait to play this! Hype!
SpartasSKiLlZ People are over selling this game's depth, assist combos and DHCs are nothing new. And active switch isn't really that hard either. It's been in other games including MVCI and SFxT. The hardest combos will come from cross combo and I'd be more impressed but Blazblue already gave us Carl. It's not that different from having a puppet character. Now if you put him in this game then that's a different story. And even then I don't think cross combo in this game even compares to the crazy shit you can do with another player during cross assault in SFxT. I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't just port over the Blazblue characters without watering them down and give us these tag mechanics. This is technically a two button anime fighter with tag mechanics unless you really want to argue that the C button is on par with the other two normal buttons. Don't really get why they couldn't just make the C button the drive button and give us command normals.
Just remember, it will be more challenging for less skilled players and to those who are not familiar with tag games (like me, I've literally never played a tag game and I always used one character in TTT2 XD).

SpartasSKiLlZ True, haters are only looking on the surface with the easy combos. It just gives more room to focus on those other mechanics you mentioned. That's what will separate the experienced players from the botton mashers imo.

I thought this game was brainless with 1 button combos but the tag mechanics plus the different character combinations actually make the game have seemingly infinite complexity

Cross Burst seems annoying since you can probably do it several times a match, but then it was followed up by the active tag thing which looks super cool

I'm not an expert on fighting games so I don't really know how balanced it is or isn't but to me it kinda feels like a blue shell in earlier Mario Karts. When I watch Blazblue videos usually I see people only use the burst mechanic twice in three rounds, it also looks like it's harder to counter even if you know when it's coming
It's more like a triple banana shield, since you die so quickly in this game it's a much needed defensive option.

In addition, its not like you can perform one and immediately pull out a full damage combo as it disables your assists and tag-ins for a pretty long time

Koefficient Is this a good game to get into if you're not great with execution? My biggest problem is how active you have to be in most anime games. My habits are geared way more to the sf4 style of gameplay where you can do a move and wait, and then link, instead of kind of inputting 4 or 5 moves at a time to preemptively complete a string.
I really like this game, is easy to use. Im not a hardcore gamer of fighting games, but i like to play it with my little brother

I just picked this game up today since it was on sale in the Eshop, I thought the beta was fun so I'm looking forward to getting into it more. It's easier than traditional fighters, but it's still really complex and more traditional than Smash. It's a nice change up for me, so it should be fun.

You did not say about the ultra move in Resonance Blaze. It is hard to do, you need a lot of bars, but if you do it (and hit ;)) it can be a game changer.
Yuda from HnK has Daggard and Comac and they have assist bars similar to this, Yuda can only use assists while the bars are full.
I'm watching this while I know the UK doesn't get this game until late summer.

When the game comes out for switch and you buy it at game stop will it still have Ruby and Blake in it? And two player mode?
If you mean buying the game either retail/digital, you'll still get all of team RWBY (Ruby and Weiss are available from the start, Blake and Yang are forever free DLC, but Blake is out on day 1, while Yang at a later date.), and yes, 2P Local VS will be in.

So with those blank spots we see in the character selection, I can assume will be where DLC characters will come into the fray later on, does that mean that there will be more characters from each series to fill up every one of those blank spots, like characters whom we haven't seen from videos or news articals?
SonicNinja101 Warrior of Light Blake and Yang are supposedly available day 1. DLC will be gradually released in packs (5$ each) containing 3 characters (perhaps more?). The first DLC pack contains Platinum, Orie, and Kanji and it’s actually free!! :D. Anyway, we’ll just have to see. If you would rather wait and save some money, the 20$ pack including all DLC characters comes later. There’s always that weird deluxe edition but it’s a waste of money imo if all you’re wanting is that sweet DLC.

I love that push block costs meter. It's one of the worst necessary mechanics in fighting games so making it cost meter was a great idea.

From what I see on the streams lately, you can change CPU difficulty over the Beta/Demo in the Options.
Wait, what's the control layout? Did I skip past that part on accident? Can someone tell me the layout, is it like P4A or like most Arcsystem games?
It's kind of it's own thing. The consist of A, B, C, D and P. A and B are you 'weak' and 'strong' attacks, and C is you 'crash' attack (at least i think that's what it's called), D is your tag button, and P is your assist or 'partner' button. So, whilst the naming is similar to other Arcsystem games, the way they function is completely different.
Question since I'm still downloading mine, does it have the Gag Real like in the previous BB games?

Quick question:is it fine to play a character without really knowing who they are and not playing their origin game? because i have never played BlazBlue. P4 or Under Night In-Birth but Hyde looks really cool so i intend to play as him.
Yeah man, do what you wanna do. Nothing says you have to, right? You don't have to click an "I've played his origin game" button on the CSS to be able to use Hyde. Tons of players pick characters that they don't have familiarity with in games like MvC3, BBTAG, SSB, etc and nobody cares if they're familiar with the origin series or not. If you like him, play him. You don't have to "earn" it by playing his origin game--you "earned" the right to play him by buying BBTAG.

What is the point of the C button? It seems like anything that the C button does can be covered by a command normal. 4B or 6B for overhead and 1B or 3B for sweep. It feels very gimmicky with its minigame.

Auto combos are similar to that of DBFZ, only 2 buttons do specific auto-combo moves.
One day at ArcSys: "Let's make a fighting game with simplified mechanics and stuff for the western casuals."
One year later at ArcSys: "Well, that didn't work out, but the results are awesome."

I really hope someone releases a video soon showing all of the available colour swaps for each character, particularly the RWBY girls since there's no older games to refer to (and I just found out the UK won't get this before mid to late June), so glad Ruby has at least 13 colours to choose from and that everyone else will likely have around 20 or so as is the usual standard with Arc Fighting Games.

@Koefficient I had a chance to play around with the mechanics and I find it unlikely that they will include our girl yuzu. She is a very technical Character and I don't see how they would add her stance options along with sliding. I honestly think she is to complex for this game.
Unless the sprite theory proves true later on, you never know if Yuzu makes it. However, if you want to be more specific, Hakumen is even in, and how they're handling his moves are good enough, but if you want crazy, then Vatista is very very technical with charge moves of every direction in her native series of UNIST. However, she'll probably be simplified.
NeoStrayCat makes since I need to check out vitista because if it's to simple I may be upset. It will possibly steal opening options she use to have.
