So I made the right choice when I ordered the W217 (Gold color, black strap) just a few days ago and still waiting for delivery. I like this model because of its bigger size and display and the illuminating.
You might wear the F91W as a kid and when you get older, your eyesight and hearing might not be as good as before, and boom! W217H is there to solve your problem, bigger display and a louder alarm.
I have the 217H as shown here and the band was too short so I bought a pair of factory looking Jays & Kays black metal 22mm lug adapters on ebay and added a nice 22mm black NATO band and now its SO much better in comfort looks and longevity than the cheap plastic strap, longer for my big 8.5"+ wrist and will outlast the factory strap many times over - also it makes the watch look so much less like a plastic cheapo like the factory band does. To me at my age the 217 is what the F91 with its larger digit display should have been all along, im also glad they downplayed the blue accent lines on the 217 that make it look a little too toy like, over all 217 is now one of of my favorite digital watches especially with the lug adapters and black NATO strap, perfect combo.
Great water resistance plus the backlight, I totally liked it and use it almost daily but when i wear elegant clothing, for the rest, I recommend it. Besides, there are fewer chances of this watch being counterfeited as the F91W.
Dozens of non expensive watches are "better" than F91W, like F201WA, but there is only ONE legend...F91W! F217H is a wonderful piece of watch, but it just isn' F91W! Anyway, I have 217H on a very short list.
I bought the 217h because it addressed every problem I had with the f91 except the strap which at this price point is a Casio problem. I've just found a metal replacement strap that should take care of that.
Fully agree with everything in this review, aside from the strap comments. I have a larger wrist, and the strap fits really well, with no problem with the tail end sticking up.
Nice work on the comparison. My goto is w800h... four buttons are aesthetically complete and symmetrical. Really wanted to buy this & 219 but ended up with skmei 1496.

Just found a bargain at 6 euros. Can't wait to wear this. I already have the F91W which I love but I prefer bigger size and the W217H is water-resistant for swimming
I have the W217 gold color one. It is a great watch and looked just right on a 7 inch wrist. Installed a set of 22mm Nato strap adapter with a zulu strap and its perfect. The only downside for me is that the backlight doesn't have afterglow.
I received a W217 just today and by the end of my work shift the top left start/stop button fell off. I’m sure it’s a great watch, but based on personal experience, I cannot recommend it less.

I like the smooth strap; it’s minimalistic.
Can we set multiple daily alarm in this watch since that feature is not available in F91W, if yes then this watch is definitely a worthy upgrade.

I dig mine. Nice alarm volume and larger digits. Wasn't crazy about the strap so put a Timex ironman strap on it. It is now my Casio ironman.😆
