This is great for the airline industry! Even better for the hotels! They can start to charge more money for rooms now, sadly. Your plane ticket will be 2-3 hundred dollars but your hotel room prices will skyrocket :(. Good video though, I enjoyed it
Southwest Airlines to Maui... That’s the life right thereXD Also do you know if this was supposed to be a 737MAX flight? I ask out of curiosity not to cause a argument or anything🙏
Never was meant to be a MAX8. The Hawaii service would had been delayed if that was the case because they would had to certify the 800NGs (which they are) for ETOPS.
I don’t get the clapping... they are doing their job ahaha, do you clap at the taxidriver when he pulls over to your house, or maybe the mailman when he opens your mailbox??
@@frederiknielsenmusic For sure, but I can assure you that this was a different situation since Southwest has been wanting to go to Hawaii for years and it finally happened with great fanfare.
The clapping is meant to be in fun. It's the passengers way of saying "thank you" for safely bringing us to the ultimate paradise of Hawaii. Are you saying that's a bad thing? Maybe we should applaud taxi drivers and mailmen, as you suggested.
No I guess we should be tho right ? I get it I think it’s weird but it’s also I think what an airplane landing represents for people that’s the reason they clap. Like for me when I land it represents the possibilities and peace and relaxation of the vacation I’m about to have and also landing a plane is a lot more complicated than parallel parking😂
Southwest airlines in Hawaii yay 😁
Finally! :-D
Well that was quite a hard landing to end such a historic flight. Nice video!
Thanks!
Exciting to make history...
It was pretty exciting the whole flight! There was even a Live at 35 concert on the flight!
Cringe
Thanks so much for sharing
You're welcome! ☺️
Lovely video! I really enjoyed that approach... Liked and subbed!
Thank you very much for the like and sub! Trying to catch the first HNL-KOA on Southwest on May 12th, so hopefully more to come soon!
Can’t wait to see it if you catch the flight-good luck!
Great video awesome thank you
I saw a Southwest Airlines when we arrived at Maui

🍍 Ka'anapali Beach Hotel, please! 😎
I ended up staying at the Westin in the same area.
@@AdamVerdoorn It's a great area, even though it's "touristy," and we're looking forward to our return! 🌺🍹🏝️
Adam Verdoorn lol I know those two hotels are the best my mom works at the Ka’anapali beach hotel.

Maui has been pricey since a lot of the smaller, older hotels have shut down to be converted/torn down into timeshares and condos. :-(

Adam Verdoorn oh gotcha thanks for the info
@@MrBerg4ever Welcome!
Adam Verdoorn correct!! I’ve been telling people but they keep saying no it’s the MAX 🙄🙄🙄 lol
Swiss001 be like:
I see what you did.
I don’t get the clapping... they are doing their job ahaha, do you clap at the taxidriver when he pulls over to your house, or maybe the mailman when he opens your mailbox??
The clapping is for the celebration of the first time Southwest is in Maui, not the pilot landing.
@@AdamVerdoorn people also clap on every other video(exept Ryanair videos) but mostly every other video
