The armour actually looked better than expected I will admit. But what truly got my heart racing was the soundtrack. I don't know about you, but the soundtrack that plays when Chief exits the pelican, that soundtrack had to have been inspired by Combat Evolved.

To everyone asking why the classic Halo 2 & 3 armor. When Chief's visor is loading its says the suit was last updated/maintained by Dr.Halsey. She created the Mjolnir armor, Mark 5 & 6 armor was designed by her. The armor chief used in Halo 1-3. Halsey doesnt like the Spartan 3 & 4 programs and finds her Spartan 2s as superior along wt her armor which they are. Way more expensive & her Spartans were augmented to be the best. Unlike the Spartan 3 & 4 programs which were cheaper & sent on suicide missions, considered expendable. Remember in Halo Reach she says to Jorge the only Spartan 2 on noble team "what did you do to my armor?" she considers her armor the best. Its not just nostalgic for chief to be wearing the classic armor but makes total sense being Dr. Halsey designed this new Mark 6 Generation 3 armor variant one based off her original design.
The Spartan IIIs were used as an expendable force, the Spartan IVs were the more widespread attempt and making more Spartans because they presumably managed to find a cheaper way of producing more Spartans

Idk I really couldn't enjoy that storyline of "oh Cortana goes evil" but seeing Halo Infinite...I think it's a step up in story from the crude bits and pieces there are in the trailer that gives me hope that they can bring Halo back.

2 years later and the scene of the marine viewing the hologram is still chilling. The way it falls out of some storage cubby and starts beeping, instantly reminding him of the family he has/had. Watching the memories flood back through his face. And the hologram itself. The way yhe camera sweeps around in one long shot is not only great looking, but it ties it in with the passage of time too. The way the battery indicator (I assume) slowly ticks down, and the slow pan back up to the marine's face, now with a beard to signify that this is at least a few months since he rediscovered the hologram. Beautiful. Makes me tear up every time I see it.

When I left it was the hardest thing I had to do, being in this situation where you miss your family and they are so far away really hurts,. I was away for work, I can't imagine how soldiers feel in this situation it has to be 1000x worse. You know you're away and for a good reason, but you hate every second you are and can't wait to go back home to your wife and kids. I understand this mans pain and if any of you have ever had to be away from those you love, it really hits so different.

Honestly, "The Pilot" had brought back energy we haven’t felt in a long time since 3 (No, not Reach, Reach was more dark and gritty.). It seems Halo is returning to the themes of Hope, Heroism, Adventure, and Bravery.

To everyone asking why the classic Halo 2 & 3 armor. When Chief's visor is loading its says the suit was last updated/maintained by Dr.Halsey. She created the Mjolnir armor, Mark 5 & 6 armor was designed by her. The armor chief used in Halo 1-3. Halsey doesnt like the Spartan 3 & 4 programs and finds her Spartan 2s as superior along wt her armor which they are. Way more expensive & her Spartans were augmented to be the best. Unlike the Spartan 3 & 4 programs which were cheaper & sent on suicide missions, considered expendable. Remember in Halo Reach she says to Jorge the only Spartan 2 on noble team "what did you do to my armor?" she considers her armor the best. Its not just nostalgic for chief to be wearing the classic armor but makes total sense being Dr. Halsey designed this new Mark 6 Generation 3 armor variant one based off her original design.

Idk I really couldn't enjoy that storyline of "oh Cortana goes evil" but seeing Halo Infinite...I think it's a step up in story from the crude bits and pieces there are in the trailer that gives me hope that they can bring Halo back.

I just got my friend to play all of the mainline halo games in release order with me cause he tried the Halo Infinite flight and thought it was fun. So now we’re both hyped! Sadly Co Op won’t be available till 3 months after launch but you KNOW we’re gonna all power through it immediately and then play it with each other when co op comes out

Well he’s both a Biological and Technological super Soldier. It is both his upgraded strength he got from the Serum Dr. Halsey gave him and the Suit that Halsey made for him that Cortana kept routinely upgrading. He has the strength to break an Elite and a Brute’s bones.

It's been like a year since I've watched this trailer, and when the chords kicked in when he wiped away the frost revealing chief. I just started to cry, I don't know why, but I did. I guess I never realized how much this franchise really means to me. Hopefully infinite will be an amazing game, but most importantly... I hope it's an amazing HALO game!
So it wasn't an amazing Halo game, it's the worst Halo game of all time. So much that MS fired everyone who made Halo Infinite.

2 years later and the scene of the marine viewing the hologram is still chilling. The way it falls out of some storage cubby and starts beeping, instantly reminding him of the family he has/had. Watching the memories flood back through his face. And the hologram itself. The way yhe camera sweeps around in one long shot is not only great looking, but it ties it in with the passage of time too. The way the battery indicator (I assume) slowly ticks down, and the slow pan back up to the marine's face, now with a beard to signify that this is at least a few months since he rediscovered the hologram. Beautiful. Makes me tear up every time I see it.
This is actually the reason I come back to this trailer once in a while. A glimpse into the personal really triggers a lifetime of memories.

1:18-1:46 Hit me so hard. Had to go on the road for a couple of months for work. I hadn't been away from my family ever. When I left it was the hardest thing I had to do, being in this situation where you miss your family and they are so far away really hurts,. I was away for work, I can't imagine how soldiers feel in this situation it has to be 1000x worse. You know you're away and for a good reason, but you hate every second you are and can't wait to go back home to your wife and kids. I understand this mans pain and if any of you have ever had to be away from those you love, it really hits so different.
Yeah I get that this trailer when it debuted completely caught me off guard. I'm not a massive halo fan but know alot of the lore from interacting with my bro about it but yh soon as that hologram and music started I teared up n I barely know the characters but that's cos deep down I related to that instance in some form. Can't imagine how it must feel to be kept from your kids especially when you only hear their voice but wish to see them more than anything

Honestly, "The Pilot" had brought back energy we haven’t felt in a long time since 3 (No, not Reach, Reach was more dark and gritty.). And the way Chief is introduced with the window wipe and those iconic 3 notes. The chills you get when Chief jumps out what seems to be a Pelican. It seems Halo is returning to the themes of Hope, Heroism, Adventure, and Bravery.
