Thank you for making this accessible to everyone! I took gymnastics as a kid, but it always felt like some inside joke that only the more experienced kids were able to learn. It never felt like anyone was easing me into things like somersaults and cartwheels. So thank you for inspiring others and giving them a way to work up to a skill!
I was going to comment this if no one else did. I am 28 and want to learn this for fun. I feel that I am definitely at a bigger risk for injury than someone who is 18 or below. Be careful, y'all!
i’ve been trying to get aerial since i was 7. I’m 15 and i just got it a few months ago, but it’s inconsistent. For me an aerial is the hardest skill i’ve ever done, back fulls and other tumbling skills are so much easier to me. I feel like it should be the other way around 😂. She also makes it look so easy
Same…. I have been working on it for 4 years and i have its just inconsistent, but another part of it is i got an injury from doing my aerial so I’ve been scared since
hey rylie ik u don’t know me but i js wanna say u help me so much i got my Ariel today at dance after i haven’t done it in 1 and a half years because i had acl surgery i used to be so good like front ariel’s, backtucks, backhand spring ik if i js stay w god he can help me js thank you so much for ur videos and help 💗🤸
Thank you for not being like others and saying “how to get your aerial in one day!” Because that is not realistically possible. unless you have lots of dance experience and practice all day. I will use these tips because I’m trying to get my dancing and tumbling skills back after not being in dance for a long time thank you also you are very beautiful ❤
I did dance, gymnastics, and cheer my whole life until I completely dislocated my knee doing an aerial and had to have surgery. They are definitely not risk free, but are a really fun skill!! I now have 2 pieces of metal in my knee.
Wow that's a lot of gymnastics practice the people that do and I do gymnastics and I kind of forget how to do my aerial so that is why I'm watching how to do aerial and digest learnt it faster
I know no one will read this but "no risk of injury?!? I understand it is safer than a lot of flips but please remember that nothing is easy and you can't make it on your first try Here is a quick story that happened to me - So I'm a gymnast and I learnt a side aerial a year ago and it was my favorite move. Now half a year ago I went outside with my class and I was doing gymnastics with my friends and I went to do a side aerial and when I landed I really sprained my ankle and it was SUPER swollen and it is till today. I could barely walk and it really hurt 😅 so please be careful
Just helped me so much. I lost my aerial about a year ago doing cheer for five years and I stopped and I lost my aerial and this is like the best and easiest way to get it back. By the way I got it back.
I HAVE A FEW TIPS ON TOP OF THEESE (Side Ariel) I just want to say that even tho these tips are helpful you are going to hurt yourself every now and then, I have been working on my [side]Ariel for about 3 years now, I finally got it on a ramp(it’s basically what your thinking just in mat form) and let’s just say some wrists have felt like they’ve been broken and leg have felt like they were going to fall off. Some things I would recommend practicing for your Ariel is most definitely leg, wrist, and back stretches, These can help you a lot as well as the ones in the video. I would recommend practicing on a soft surface like grass/dirt(NO SAND OR HARD SURFACE) if you want practice I recommend going to a gym and asking for some references(what I mean by this is like techniques on how to move your body and what to use manually) my gym didn’t have references so I just had to go by off the internet(this is NOT a good way to go off reference) (Front Ariel) For front Ariel’s I recommend getting a good strong mat for this one, your going to want to put the mat in like a big M one to where your head goes in the middle and your (almost at the shoulder but not the shoulder) arm, I would recommend the same stretches(legs, wrist, and back) you will use the same force but now you have a mat to help you, [Front] Ariel’s are much easier to learn than Side Ariel’s, but Side Ariel’s also take much for body work/strength. I recommend Front Ariel’s for any new gymnast!! Both of these Ariel are hard and take a lot of practice, but I know that y’all can do it!!!
I had a friend who watched this exact video and tried the steps. It resulted in the ER, PLEASE don't try to do all these "Gymnastics tricks" if you don't know or did Gymnastics before. Just a heads up 😮💨
I can do one I just can’t land it I can also do round off handspring and handspring and cart wheel handspring as well I am also very flexible and close to my back flip I’m actually 9 ❤
I learned my aerial by doing it out of a turn. Even after not dancing for years due to the pandemic and graduating, I can still do it this way. It was mostly about confidence for me, and I think doing a chaine turn first gave me something else to focus on. Great video! 👍🙏
Even if it a injury risk safe make sure to still use a mat or cushions or something that wont hurt if u fall plus always have someone there to spot and watch you to make you u dont hurt yourself!
I’m 25 and I never got my arial after years of gymnastics, but this actually makes me want to try again! Excellent work. Future gymnasts are in good hands ❤
I’ve always learned how to do a cartwheel but never an Aerial. I’ve been trying for so long and still can’t get it. I can do everything but when I try going for it I always am to scared to let go of my arms. Any tips please?❤
Thank you for making this accessible to everyone! I took gymnastics as a kid, but it always felt like some inside joke that only the more experienced kids were able to learn. I was going to comment this if no one else did. I am 28 and want to learn this for fun. I feel that I am definitely at a bigger risk for injury than someone who is 18 or below. Be careful, y'all!

I HAVE A FEW TIPS ON TOP OF THEESE
(Side Ariel)
I just want to say that even tho these tips are helpful you are going to hurt yourself every now and then, I have been working on my [side]Ariel for about 3 years now, I finally got it on a ramp(it’s basically what your thinking just in mat form) and let’s just say some wrists have felt like they’ve been broken and leg have felt like they were going to fall off. (Front Ariel)
For front Ariel’s I recommend getting a good strong mat for this one, your going to want to put the mat in like a big M one to where your head goes in the middle and your (almost at the shoulder but not the shoulder) arm, I would recommend the same stretches(legs, wrist, and back) you will use the same force but now you have a mat to help you, [Front] Ariel’s are much easier to learn than Side Ariel’s, but Side Ariel’s also take much for body work/strength. I recommend Front Ariel’s for any new gymnast!!
Both of these Ariel are hard and take a lot of practice, but I know that y’all can do it!!!
