In CA, I'm sure the lack of supply to meet demand, rising construction costs, extremely long process to approve housing projects, and high property taxes are just a few things causing high housing prices in the state. It's bias to just use real estate investors as the scapegoat to "a major reason why the real estate market is the way that it is now".

Mostly based on your comfort level with risk. Better off sizing in when things go your way when trading an account with mini futures or high leverage. In this manner, your initial stop loss is still a respectable one. However, if you trade micros or with minimal leverage, you might as well start at "full size." Although it increases the win percentage, micros still have a stop loss that is not very near to the entrance. IMHO. For your own convenience, I would advise you to seek professional advice.

Real estate investors losing money is music to my ears. They are a major reason why the real estate market is the way that it is now.
Actually, you can blame the Fed for manipulating the market by keeping interest rates artificially low for the last decade. They created this mess and now there's no way to fix it without completely crashing the market. And I'm OK with that.
You can also blame the Fed but most of it goes to those investors that have made life difficult for the 61% of people that are living paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford to buy a home because of these investors that gobble up the properties and jacking up the rent and buying price for a home. I'm a big fan of DeSantis but he really jumped the shark when he went all in on strict abortion regulations. That is a deal breaker above all else for millions of women voters on both sides and is the single most important reason Republicans did so poorly in the midterms. Republicans need to back off the abortion stance (or be much more reasonable about it) if we are going to continue to beat Dems in elections. It truly is that important to millions who will vote on that issue alone.

Mostly based on your comfort level with risk. Better off sizing in when things go your way when trading an account with mini futures or high leverage. In this manner, your initial stop loss is still a respectable one. However, if you trade micros or with minimal leverage, you might as well start at "full size." Although it increases the win percentage, micros still have a stop loss that is not very near to the entrance. IMHO. For your own convenience, I would advise you to seek professional advice.

Where I live raw land far out of the city shot up from $15k per acre to over $100k per acre because of the near zero interest rates and land speculators. It's become unaffordable for locals and farmers now. Powell needs to hold rates over 5% for a few years to shake out all the speculation in many economists' opinions. I agree.

@@jasonscott6640 Exactly. I actually talked to two of these speculators and they said they were able to borrow hundreds of thousands at below 3%. Since RE has been skyrocketing up more then 10% per year, they said it was worth the risk. If things do not work out, they said they will simply declare bankruptcy and walk away from the bad loans.
I am starting to believe prices go up because people want to make a huge profit. Everyone one wants a piece of huge profits...so prices go up for everything else. Its sad how everyone wants land to hold lots of value. The cost to buy a home is insane I think it's time to focus more on building family values. Maybe then we could have some control over this thirst for money. I feel we are hurting each other.
