Nice, your video series is really helpful. My Lexon Riot 10 arrived last week from China and I'm starting my build. The Trifox and Lexon frames have a very similar geometry so this video is reassuring for what I typically ride (mostly flowy XC trails and race a few times a year). To help keep the build cost down I'm carrying over components from my Specialized XC hardtail with some upgrades as well. Keep the videos coming!

im interested in a Lexon Riot frame too¡ how is it going?

@@adriancabrera3014 I finished the build 13 months ago, overall it rides well and suits my needs. The frame is solid, climbs well and much better at descending than my old HT. I did have an issue with the shock mounting bolt getting stuck in the rocker and some of the bearings failing. I had to get a replacement rocker and bolts for a minor expense from the Official Lexon Store, but they were good to work with. You can avoid this by using anti-seize on the rocker bolt and I would recommend replacing the bearings. I have several posts on the chinertown website in Lexon Riot thread detailing the build and my rocker issue. Other frames you may want to consider is the Ican S3 (I would probably go with this frame if I where to do it again) or the Carbonda fm936 (Carbonda recommends using a 100mm fork but it sounds like practically everyone runs a 120mm fork). Good luck.

@@LoveMTB Totally agree. Not a whole lot of people live right next to a 1000m climb or bikepark. I have a down country 120mm travel bike and a 170mm park bike for holidays and rough stuff. There is no competition of which one gets the most ride time!

I 'm surprised that you used a very nice cassette (the XT) but opted fort the Deore brakes instead of the SLX I m building a very similer frame (Lightcarbon LCFS 911) right now with a mixture of lhigher end Shimano XT and XTR components for xc racing. I also am using the XTR shifter on an TX derailleur and the XTR chain. ( I saw you did that and I ssume for good reason) I'm only running 100 mm Sid Ultimate race day fork and Nude shock on the rear as I plan to mainly use it on more pure xc courses, even though I live in Colorado where we have more rocks than dirt on some trails heheh. The xc national will be here atthe end of July and the course is rather tame without any really rough sections but a long climb to start and a smooth but long descent, so my bike should be fine for it. I would be interested in seeing you do something on different xc lightweight integrated Chinese carbon handlebars and carbon flatbars as well. .

Great video, thanks for making it. Still, I have a question, you are 5'10 and you did choose for a medium size, why? Does it not feel a bit too small with a reach of 443mm and a short stem? According the chart of Trifox, you should have a Large...

Think the key is picking the right place to buy, and make them think you are a potential distributor or sonething, so they make sure you get a solid one. This guy got his free, but they obviously intended it as Marketing so they def double checked everything. There are surely guys who get the b stock and sell them on China sites, ali express etc. Ya gotta weed them out
