Ah Dirge, never ceases to amaze us with strategies that no-one had ever thought of. Metal gear blocking most of Duo's attacks is definitely something we didn't know until now.
Cool, so the Metal Gear has a shield and can block most of the attacks except those lasers with break and piercing invis properties or until it expires. That is definitely something worth to look into and with practice, you can do more than just using charge shot that hit 2 squares ahead.
The gear is like a pseudo-obstacle with no real HP value similar to Burn(er)Man’s flame jets that move along the top and bottom rows. Only Break element can destroy them (or its time runs out), and I’m pretty sure Duo’s laser counts as Break element as IIRC it’s snuffed out my Guardian statue in the past without him suffering any karmic punishment. It definitely has Pierce/cursor since it ignores Invis.
@@Rexaura888that is one way of putting it. To be precise. All summoning objects have HP. Metal Gear and Burner torch have very low HP, as in 1 -10 if I have to suggest. Attacks that aren't break element won't hurt it at all and you heard kink-kink-kink sound or your attack gets blocked. This is why when the Metal Soul's buster or any break element hit them, it got instantly destroyed. If these obstacles has higher HP like the hammer viruses in their stone mode, they won't get instantly destroyed with air hockey but you know it takes damage. On the other hand, obstacles with high HP like stone cube (200 HP) gets destroyed after dealing 200 damage in one hit or gradually. These kind of obstacles without shield broke instantly regardless of what their remaining HP was if a break element attack was used on them.
Battle Network looks so good at 720p60. I'm excited for the collection to be released on PC. Also, I'm always a big fan of Dirge defeating enemies with such an ironic flair. 🤭

The Metal Gear Battle Chips seems useful on bosses like Duo. I just wish there were Lotto Numbers to get Secret Chips like Metal Gear and SeekBomb, but too bad Z-Saber and GunSolEX are the only Secret Chips you can get from the Lotto Numbers whereas you can only get the other Secret Chips from winning multiplayer tournaments.
I'm also confused by this. The only explanation I can think of is the metal gear took the hit thereby allowing Megaman to be intangible, but that wouldn't make sense to me since I'm sure the laser hits you regardless.
So if the center laser hits an object or Megaman himself, the hitbox just goes away. The laser's rings will still do damage but the center laser doesn't have a hitbox anymore.

エグゼと出会ってはや二十年近くになるんですが、初めて知りました。
もっと早く知っていればあんな苦労…orz

Hardest BN final boss my ass. I have fond memories of doing a fresh file of Blue Moon and clowning on Duo with mostly the Aqua Soul charged shot.
It the hardest on Your FIRST playthough as you barely have any fire power and invis wont save you v.s the lazer

Taking load of time though, scope gun deals only 50 damage when 5 shots land. While Wood Soul's Twister deals 160 if all connect.
