Semi auto in warzone has the same exact recoil as full auto if you hit the normal full auto fire rate. Which makes sense, but i wish it would have less since semi is harder to manage than full auto. Vanguard does something similar where the initial firing recoil is the only recoil you ever experience in semi, so guns like the nz41 are super accurate, while the as44 has even more recoil than full auto.

I cannot believe we're explaining FOV and the ups/downs it has in 2022. This has been a thing in PC since forever, in COD2 (that's 20 years ago!) you could already change the fov through the ingame console. But hey, I'm glad more people are finding out. It forces developers to make things right.
Funny thing is this happens in real life, too. I always found it funny that zooming in on a scope made things more stable and controlled in most games, but in reality it exaggerates even the tiniest twitch. Learning how to stabilize and compensate through a scope is one of the least natural feelings to me, and I actually prefer iron sights because of it.
I went back to intendent because it's harder to track people up close moving across the screen. It's like everything is sped up at 120 include how fast it feels like your running. People zip by really fast. After going back to independent my close range kills/wins tripled. Also helped me see the enemy at longer range when aiming. Helps a lot with eye strain and for a while enemy names wouldn't show up making it way worse.
this is the same reason why sniper scopes make guns feel like they have all the recoil in the world, even though its actually the same. very well explained
I used to play unreal tournament at a high level in the clan scene almost 20 years ago now. But we had a thing called an Ini file. It could be almost endlessly changed if you knew what you were doing. Hanging a different FOV for every weapon. Having a button to click to the very minimum FOV fir w hitscan wepons etc. vehicles were perhaps the best for this. I could really customise the sites of them and almost every way. It seems that streamers are still doing a certain version of this.
I couldn't help but imagine you inserting a "And this is me pulling down a little to the left with a controller" for the memes. 😂 This video was very educational. 👍
People also have to put into account controlling recoil is different and much easier on pc than on console most streamers Play on pc. I’ve played both, but it also could depend on the game. Great vid as always.
As someone who plays both I feel like recoil is just as easy to control on both. Sometimes even easier on sticks but maybe that could be because I've had more years on console than PC. I just find that whole argument kind of bs. Especially in games like Battlefield where you actually already get 30% less recoil on console

No recoil combines with FoV and the gun build. I play on console aswell and I can confirm that there is guns that have minimal recoil depends on the build aswell. But with that I'm thought warzone 2 is confirmed to have a FoV slider but is only for ps5 and Xbox series x
Learned visual recoil back in the mw2 days. Everyone loved the ACR due to it being a laser. I always used the SCAR. It had pretty much no actual recoil either but a shitload of visual recoil. Only downsize was the small mags but it hit like a truck compared to the ACR.
There's a difference between controlling recoil and no recoil at all. A lot of streamers, especially those in faze clan, not only have zero recoil but have no visual recoil either on guns that you can use yourself and no the visual recoil.
It's never been recoil alone that I question with some streamers. It's more about the quick acquisition of other players that are either far off or well hidden. A normal player without cheats is not able to acquire and take down targets like that.
you have to realize that some people are stupidly good at the game especially since my streamers play for 6 plus hours a day they are going to have insane game sense I get accused of cheating by checking some of the most obvious spots in the map yeah some of them are probably cheating but not all of them

when it's up close, it shakes harder, and your brain signals that you need to compensate for the recoil. However, where in reality, people tend to overcompensate for the recoil to make it even jumpier and hard to aim. so the best chance is just to "fool" your brain to think it's not shaking, by widening the FOV.

Very nice explanation, but it still doesn't account for how streamers always seem to get bot lobbies when my friends and I always get paired against Navy Seals.
Play early in the morning on your local time. 9am -11am. Week days are better. SBMM has poor accuracy at those times as there is far less players in the match making pool. It will favour time waited over a good skill match. I have done a couple of videos in the past on this but maybe it’s time to do another.
@@jackfrags I'm mostly poking fun, and honestly my friends and I haven't been good since BF1. But consistently seeing streamers get the most oblivious people on the planet when we get bodied across map by people role playing Deadshot and Punisher definitely hurts morale. Good explained how to keep recoil (up) minimal at CLOSE range (where higher Fov won't make targets in the middle look as small as ants). Putting the close range aside... cheaters nowadays (or always) use no-spread macros (left/right). In the end it's the spread you can't counter (bec it doesn't go in one direction only like recoil) and in most FPS PVP games devs use spread (not recoil) to give weapons with a higher fire rate a disadvantage. Especially at higher ranges unlike covered in this video (where even 1mm spread already matters if hit or miss) And that's what you don't cover at all in the video (spread, at higher range). I wonder why...
Great content concisely presented! Have you thought about doing some 'basics' videos talking about movement or close Vs range encounters and your approaches to each? I think it would really help young or new players.
Good video. Streamers and content creators are getting caught out all the time, its only normal for people to question other gamers in a world saturated with cheaters. You don't have to go far to end up in a lobby with a blatant cheater. Also since cronus zen was sold out and probably still is, just shows how many people are actually trying to cheat, just saying.
It amazes me that cronus zen has been sold out for months or more or atleast sells out quickly when they get a new shipment but all you see is people calling people out about using one.. If you can't beat then join them. Im on pc so i could care less if people used them but so many people complain about them when sooo many people have them.
@@JustMamba A cronus is honestly a limitation if you're actually good. Most good to very good players will play better without a cronus than they would with it.
Great video. At around the 6:00 mark, I feel like what would really help drive the explanation home is to just demonstrate how hard it is to control a spray with a scope attached to the weapon. Spraying with a 4x is difficult because of the same reason you have just explained, but more exaggerated.

It's cuz casuals make up a big part of the market. They don't understand the difference let alone know PC exists. Lotta casuals don't even change their consoles to their potential. They literally just start playing outta the box and think it's mind blowing with default settings
Jack this is what I was always searching when I started playing warzone! Now I can finally try to see if it helps me either. Thanks for the amazing video
Jack I honestly thought you was about to show the wheel scroll binding for shooting (zero recoil). Not sure if it's still a thing on COD
I think it is
If you're set to semi auto it's likely gonna work just cuz semi has less recoil.
Full auto though? It'd probably just burst fire it
Still is a thing, not widely known
Semi auto in warzone has the same exact recoil as full auto if you hit the normal full auto fire rate. Which makes sense, but i wish it would have less since semi is harder to manage than full auto. Vanguard does something similar where the initial firing recoil is the only recoil you ever experience in semi, so guns like the nz41 are super accurate, while the as44 has even more recoil than full auto.
it always was, but i never tried it, feels weird + my muscle memory won't allow me
I remember when you said my name on stream idk why but it just made my day and still does
Excellent vid, Jack! Some will always accuse ppl of using the CHETS regardless, but hopefully some will see this and get it!

Great video, this was never an issue for me but I never knew about it at the same time. Will definitely change the fov settings for cqc maps in core.
It can make a huge difference in how guns feel. I first noticed this in Battlefield V.
Man the FOV and Recoil Control is the new thing I learnt from ya, thank you a lot 🙏
I cannot believe we're explaining FOV and the ups/downs it has in 2022. This has been a thing in PC since forever, in COD2 (that's 20 years ago!) you could already change the fov through the ingame console.
But hey, I'm glad more people are finding out. It forces developers to make things right.
cod2, what a beautiful game! good times
Yea, it's all about preference. One isn't objectively better than the other when varying user comfort is a factor
It depends on your screen size too. So I would suggest following these settings, and then adjusting the fov until you like it.
this is the same reason why sniper scopes make guns feel like they have all the recoil in the world, even though its actually the same. very well explained
It seems that streamers are still doing a certain version of this.
nowadays they are the config (.cfg) files. same thing.

Could you make a short vid like this for bf2042? I’m always amazed at your recoil control on that game
I needed this! You were very clear and I loved the side by side demos!
Switched to PC last season. K/D went from a 1.7 to a 2.5. PC is a pretty decent advantage
Controller gives you an inherent advantage. I do not believe for a second that you switched from Controller to M&K and your K/D somehow went up.
@@221Prohunter lol yah wasnt trying to claim I switched to MnK. Play on a Xbox elite series 2 controller. I do enjoy MnK, but not in warzone. It's just a huge difference to go from 80 fov/60fp* to 105fov/150fps.

This Man just straight up shut down so much controversy in this community without a doubt.. the best thing is this sort of knowledge and mechanics work in most if not many of the fps shooters or even third person shooters. But I still will imagine their are still those out there that don't know how this works and still are going to claim this is cheats, and it all just boils down to people being idiots or trolls regardless of how you prove yourself or not. Also, practice makes perfect. Play regularly and you will naturally improve your aim.

No recoil combines with FoV and the gun build. I play on console aswell and I can confirm that there is guns that have minimal recoil depends on the build aswell. But with that I'm thought warzone 2 is confirmed to have a FoV slider but is only for ps5 and Xbox series x
I agree and Warzone 2 go be epic on Next Gen

Learned visual recoil back in the mw2 days. Everyone loved the ACR due to it being a laser. I always used the SCAR. It had pretty much no actual recoil either but a shitload of visual recoil. Only downsize was the small mags but it hit like a truck compared to the ACR.
The scar iron sights were so good too. Strap a silencer on that boy. Good times
Wow this was super educational. Great video dude!
Awesome vid Jack, love this kinda things, open's your eyes to some things you don't hear from streamers/youtubers normally
Thank you for the explanation, I am the one who always think streamers have no recoil, I will try the setting you suggested
There's a difference between controlling recoil and no recoil at all. A lot of streamers, especially those in faze clan, not only have zero recoil but have no visual recoil either on guns that you can use yourself and no the visual recoil.
Jup, aimbot
Crushed this jack. Really helps with playing these fps
It's never been recoil alone that I question with some streamers. It's more about the quick acquisition of other players that are either far off or well hidden. A normal player without cheats is not able to acquire and take down targets like that.
They have Advance UAV maybe?
you have to realize that some people are stupidly good at the game especially since my streamers play for 6 plus hours a day they are going to have insane game sense I get accused of cheating by checking some of the most obvious spots in the map yeah some of them are probably cheating but not all of them

Lets confront the elephant in the room here. Everyone knows how to counter recoil, its obvious. Thats not why people complain about streamers not having recoil. Its because of the blatant abuse of controller + undetectable cronus module that assists them HEAVILY

Don't do drugs kids...
when it's up close, it shakes harder, and your brain signals that you need to compensate for the recoil. However,
where in reality, people tend to overcompensate for the recoil to make it even jumpier and hard to aim.
so the best chance is just to "fool" your brain to think it's not shaking, by widening the FOV.

Play early in the morning on your local time. 9am -11am. Week days are better. SBMM has poor accuracy at those times as there is far less players in the match making pool. jack u are the man. this clears up so much im been wondering. thx
Especially at higher ranges unlike covered in this video (where even 1mm spread already matters if hit or miss)
And that's what you don't cover at all in the video (spread, at higher range). I wonder why...
How does the macro counter spread? Is the spread not random for each fired bullet?
@@m1k1a1 it doesn't it's random.. Most people use specific attachments that counteract that spread and then use the macros.
Wow. I dont even play warzone and just, wow! So informative and interesting. Thanx Jack
Great content concisely presented! Have you thought about doing some 'basics' videos talking about movement or close Vs range encounters and your approaches to each? I think it would really help young or new players.
It's hard to try explain this Jack, you did great.
If the answer isn't cronus Imma be disappointed
Edit: indeed, I'm disappointed.
The best explanation I have ever heard. TY so much for that !
People also secretly use strike packs that have community created macros to give anti recoil etc. it isnt just for consoles pc players can use it too.
I mean I can't say for definite but I applied this setting to my game today and played some of the best games I've played in a while which included dropping a 16 bomb. Cheers fella
