@@TimGiovanniI was 23 when it dropped on the SNES. I'm dusting off my original system and game to introduce my son to it on his 7th birthday in February.
Wish you coulda had the experience of leaving the snes on all day because you weren’t at a save point and had to go to school 😂😂 that was my whole seventh grade year.
Maybe it's the fact that it was the first FF game I really was old enough to properly play or maybe it's that it was the perfect combination of both story, world, music, and characters or perhaps that it had one of most shocking gameplay moments at the half-way point of the game but I will forever think Final Fantasy 6/3 is the best Final Fantasy game if not one of the best games I've ever played in my life. It's nice to have a place where I can hear it's calming music for over 11 hours.
It wasn't just your age It was the best in the series and one of the best RPGs of all time, and probably the single best JRPG of all time It's virtually flawless. The story was absolutely incredible and unique, the aesthetic was one of the best (medievalsteampunk), the music was the best FF soundtrack we've ever seen. At most you could criticize the difficulty or the character balance or something like that which is more dated.
@@Merknilash I agree, there are specific aspects of other FF games that are better, but no other is done as well as a whole. I think CT as a whole game is better technically. However even so I like FF6 more. The more serious story and themes set it apart. Additionally FF6 is one of the only true tragic rpg's out there, you lose halfway through the game and the party breaks up. Yes you stop Kefka in the end, but he's wrecked everything at that point, almost certainly killed millions, the rest starving. In the end you're left with simple hope in the form of a seed sprouting. I remember being absolutely stunned at the time, and while the text around Celes's suicide attempt was censored a bit in the american version, it was obvious what was going on. The main characters of FF6 weren't perfect, they all had their own traumas and failings, their own reasons to run away and dwell on their own problems. The story is about these characters finding purpose and working to make the world a better place despite that. Pretty hard hitting for a 13yr old.
@@brijor6ff7 Facts. VI was incredible and perfect in almost every way (needed more endgame stuff apart from the DS port), and the soundtrack is just as timeless. X is in a league of its own for music, though; it was a legendary collab between Hamauzu and Uematsu. Hamauzu went on to gift us with FFXIII tracks after Uematsu retired, but the FFX OST is otherworldly - Next level music compositions from two masters. We are lucky to experience such greatness that can only happen again from the Farplane.
This is great. My new essential "get work done" pick. Admittedly, while neat, the phantom train being suplexed does get occasionally distracting on my second monitor. Love all the other art and images though. Nice to let the good memories roll in when my eyes wander between documents.
At first I wasn't going to include the phantom train because it's not chill at all, quite the opposite! 😅 But it was too cool and too iconic! So I ended up adding it, and it seems people liked it 😊
That's amazing work 🔥🔥🔥 Thank you ! I'm only three hours in but I'll make sure to listen all the way through. Where can I find the delightful jazz versions present in this mix ?
Awesome collection. I usually don't like the lofi vibe cause it's too much bass or the original music is drowned out. This mix was really great though. Thank you. Got me through work. 👍
Just played the game for the first time earlier this year, incredible.
It is a classic, I had it back in the day original, before my SNES broke.
It is one of the best ever. 🎉

@@bluestrife28 I did this a couple of times! And was scolded because of it 🤣
This music has been a big part of my life for around 30 years now. Crazy to imagine that in a way.
This game legitimately inspired my entire life.
Nah, that's normal, crazy would be if you hadn't liked the music! 😁
I have a somewhat similar experience with FFIX
That animation of Sabin Suplexing the Phantom Train is amazing!
😁💪

The best Final Fantasy game - the pinnacle of the series by far
In essence, in music, in storytelling, in aesthetic
It never got better after this.
This ^
They really set the bar too high!
It's a very close second to FFX IMO

Wow NOSTALGIA. Taking me wayyy back to my youth. First game I was really affected by early on...
Fantastic! I love those pixel art animations!

Studying and chill ATM. This is great. I can't hear celes's theme without getting emotional though

Fantastic mix, well done! What version of the game are these video snips from?
fan made, not in any official release of the game
Bummer! :)
The original OST is amazing, it was what put Squaresoft ahead of Enix back then, before they merged to Square Enix.
All from fans, but it would've been great watching that video of Sabin suplexing the train in the game, right? 😁
Dope art
😁👍
The chocobo arrangement at 3:30:00 sounds like something out of Dragon Quest
Never played Dragon Quest, but I might play one next year
@@toptabletop Which composer/remixer did this particular track?
FF6また最近ピクセルリマスターでやってます!😊
I'd love it if old games just used enhanced pixel art like on this video. keep the oldschool feel, but without limitation
this is where the real game begins

SHOW !!!

whoa... what intro version of FFVI is that?

fanta needs to call square enix and collab a new drink called final fanta

Damn, 12 hours ? Does it loops at some point or is it all different songs ?
I think this playlist is about +6 hours

I always kept the original names, except in cases like Secret of Mana where there was no default and not even the manual named them! 😅
