- I upgraded my Vsett 10+ handlebar with a more secure and sturdy foldable handlebar. The video covers the entire process. The work was pretty easy. I bought the handlebar from Amazon. Although the new handlebar folds back towards the rider instead of straight down, the Vsett was able to fold without any issues.
I prefer this fmf-xtr style handlebar as they are much stiffer and has no play while riding. I does not come loose after hours of riding either. The tube is pretty much the same size as the stock bars but the folding mechanism does not get in the way of clamping more gadgets to the bars. Full Length is 620mm

thank you soo much for this video. its really informative. Im planning on changing the handlebar of the vsett10+, if i ever buy it. Im torn between the vsett10+ and or the apollo phantom. I have a $2700.00 at my disposal. I may ended up buying the vsett10+. the phantom orders seems to be out of stock, have issues with customer service and takes a really long wait to get it. We shall see.
I was also contemplating between the two but I am glad to have chosen the vsett 10+. The speed and acceleration are beyond any scooter I have ever tested. There are many aftermarket upgrade options available, including hydraulic front and rear shocks, tires and now the throttle mechanism. The build quality is pretty good especially the stem lock. It rides super solid and predictable. I am working on fabricating a seat for it and hope to have that completed soon. I only wish they make the stem hight adjustable.
Thanks for the video! Do you have an idea for a suitable handlebar to upgrade the scooter with the "new" large Vsett display? The IOHawk branded model includes it but has the same flawed VSett handlebar which loosens up all the time.
I test drive my Brother's Vsett10+ in our street, set to speed 2. I max the throttle as soon i'm in the middle of the street. Smooth and fast acceleration when goes to 0 to 21 mph, then it will kick again on 21 mph up to 43 mph still going on but, i have to slow down on 43 mph cuz the handle bar starts to wobble a little bit from there i got scared and slowed down. Usually 40 mph that's the maximum speed you usually satisfied in driving fast in the street. Over than 40 mph you need a dampener to steady the handle bar on this Scooter.. This is just my opinion...My brother gave me his Hiboy s2 pro scooter 18mph max :( .. But still appreciated :) Thanks for the review :)
Yes, the steering becomes un-stable when approaching top speed. However, I custom installed a seat and its actually much more stable above 40mph. So it seems the lower the Center of Gravity, the more stable but of course, a steering stabilizer will work as well.
There is an issue with higher speeds. They call it the "death wobble", and it has to do with the stabilizer in or around (I honestly forget which) the bottom of the stem. There is an upgrade or more improved stabilizer for the vsett 10.

Hi, great video! Can you please confirm that 31.8 is the right size. And also any specific reason why you went with 620 instead of 680mm?
Yes, the clamp on the steering stem accommodates a 31.8 bar. I went with a shorter 620mm just to reduce the width but the wider the bar the more comfortable. My wife has the wider bar and she likes it more.

What is this for a thumb throttle? :) I like the Rion curve but its a little bit to expensive at the moment for me. Is it easy to install and is there a manual ? I have an vsett 9+

Also does anyone know of a solution for a handlebar extension for our stock handlebar, I have seen someone with one that fits to the stem but can't find it.
This looks great but does this handlebar also this fit with the new Upgraded VSETT Central Display?. Can I use this handlebar and also have the new display on my vsett10+ ?. Thanks

The new display mounts to the handle bar stem bracket it’s self, but I’m not sure if it would interfere with the locking mechanism.
I have both the display and the handle bars on order. I’ll try and elaborate once I receive and install them.

Could you have not kept the original handlebar and just rotated it so that it would fold to the rear instead of down?
Can you link to the thumb throttle plz, my only negative is having a weaker grip because of your finger being up in the air.
The thumb throttle you see on the Vsett was custom installed by me. However, I have heard that you can switch to the thumb throttle from Zero 10x optional upgrade and it will work. The VSETT 10+ is fun and exciting to ride. The suspension with the rear hydraulic shock really helps make the ride more plush and controlled. I really enjoy riding it and recently had a blast on a 24 mile trip. The super quick acceleration will give you that adrenaline rush every time especially when you hit that sport button.

Hi there. Yes it does but it is still very strong because of the way the clamp distributes the load. The pivot point is not taking all the stress, the flat wide clamp takes up to half the pressure. If I were to pull on the handlebar, the stem would break before the bars.

How stable has it been?
The handlebar has been solid so far. Easy to fold and stays rattle free without having to re-tighten like the stock one. I like it and it staying on the Vsett.

What is the thumb throttle please?
Instead of using your index finger to actuate the throttle, the "Thumb" throttle mechanism is position so the thumb actuates the throttle control on the scooter.

the only problem, that foldable handlebar is designed for MBT, not scooters. Its curvature is wrong on 90 degree..
Check out this video where I re-drill the bars to make it fold down but still curve back towards the driver. I did it to the Zero 10x but it does work on the vsett. th-cam.com/video/Fgv3b1-RCGg/w-d-xo.html
So did you also adjust this foldable handlebar for the vsett 10+? Like the same way you did on the zero10x
@@jordygeverink4690 I did not. I only modified the handlebar for the Zero 10x and the NandRobot D4. The fold back was ok with the vsett when I collapse the steering down. I was able to get it in the car.
