You know what's funny about Cory calling "Nirvana"? Dave girl has said that he took all those riffs from disco like Gap Band, which had a bunch of influences from Minneapolis and Philly, which is part of why it fits right in!
I remember finding Cory’s solo work shortly after he joined vulf. He had just one EP and this wad the first song on it. Since then he’s become an absolute powerhouse. Welcome to Minneapolis has always been a BANGER!!
That breakdown with the horns follows so smoothly into the bass solo, love that.
That horn like is a tribute to Prince's "Billy Jack Bitch" from the the gold experience album. Check it out. Freaking amazing album. Cory would agree i reckon.

So sick! First time I even heard of Cory Wong was at the Indianola, Iowa Frisbee tournament! I worked in my dad's food truck for the event. It was so awesome! You guys are so awesome! Hope to see you guys in Iowa again ❤❤❤

This is still a great performance, but missing the percussion section from Negah really takes something away from the overall sound.
I wondered how Nêgah Santos was able to be in two places at one time with the Wongnotes and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert band; I guess her space-time superpowers need an occasional recharge.
