Been enjoying your reactions a whole lot - especially Home Free but others too. You are picking great music. Thx. It was great to hear this one. There is a version circulating from a few years ago live with orchestra that is fabulous. The singer still was wonderful at an older age. I have heard efforts to explain the lyrics but I agree with you that it is just a listen.

The story is of a couple who’s on vacation and the woman tells her husband she’s leaving, right then and there hearing this his face turned a whiter shade of pale. Hope this helped.
