What a delight this week’s stitching will be. I can hardly wait to begin. And I’m so glad it’s paint on your check and not what I first thought…blood from a thorn attack from one of your lovely rose bushes. Marion, you have no idea what sunshine you’re bringing to those of us in this cold northern hemisphere winter. Thank you!🌷🌷🌷💚🌷
I haven't dare tackle the roses yet. It's too cold for being out for very long. I'm sure a couple of garden videos might surface as the spring gets going though...
You said it! Marion, everything janniecemacdonald said x2! Your vids are a true bit of "hygge" (i know that word is over-used these days, but it meant (and means!) something special long before it 'went viral' 😂 Thank you so much for the heartwarming visits. Thank you for not plugging patreon every five minutes and thank you for being so wonderfully GENUINE with us, your audience. You are a special person in our worlds. 💙 🦋
Oh my goodness, the sound of your voice is so soothing, and I agree with a lot of the comments, you are a good teacher, thank you for taking the time to share your lovely crafts with us ❤
Marion, you are fabulous. I love watching you stitch and listening to your voice. It’s almost like sitting beside you. You have such wonderful ideas. Thank you for always sharing your talent with us.
Marion I simply love your beautiful work come alive! I so enjoy your calm demeanour and creativity. Thank you for sharing and appreciate also the fact that ads do not chop up your presentations, that fact is much appreciated. Cheers
Absolutely loved last week's sewing. I did 3 circles with the little stitches all around, then used your inspired whipped stitch. I'd never done this before but loved it so much I got a bit carried away with it. Then continued with blanket stitch between the gaps around the circles. Thanks so much for the tip of angling the needle, my blanket stitch has never looked so good. So happy with it. I can't wait to see what you come up with on the last square. Ps. I have also done a a little water colour painting of whimsical houses. I can't believe how much I'd forgotten re techniques. Thanks for the encouragement 😊
So lovely to sit with a fresh cup of tea and watch your stitching. Can't wait to add these to the journal. Thank you so much and how wonderful it is seeing your channel grow. Blessed be.
Marion, I am glad I found you. I have been interested in doing stitching again. You have been an inspiration. I live in Michigan in the States, and I love the international community.
Thank you so much for sharing your talents and knowledge with all of us! Can’t tell you how much joy I have gotten from getting back into hand stitching after so many years! Also so glad you are left handed too, it sure helps me when I’m watching you stitch!!

Good afternoon Marion , thank you for sharing, I eco what a lot of people had said how calm and knowledge teacher you are, and how beautiful . Looking forward to seeing the next page , ❤Teresa x
Greetings from Tennessee USA. I throughly enjoyed this video. You possess a talent that is unique and so rewarding. Great skills in showcasing beautiful handiwork. Thank you so very much for taking us along on your adventure.
First I tought you had a cat-attack. Not because they are angry, but sometimes cats are a little clumsy( I believe that is how it is called ) When I'am in bed, my cat Tara comes to sleep with me. But before she finaly lay down, she walks aroud and over my face. But It was paint on your face, that is normal when you are creative and do so many things. This page is very nice to do, I love it. See you sunday.,have a good week Marion.
I couldn't even believe I hadn't noticed it myself until the video was uploaded and scheduled. I must have watched it through so many times during the edit but never realised at all!
I love watching you stitching which has inspired me to have a go. I'm loving it and quite surprised myself! Thank you Marion for sharing your wonderful ideas and talent.
Second time watching Marion. I started and I am copying your circle idea. I sure hope that as we practice and continue to make pages my work will get better. I am pleased with what I have accomplished although I can see where the stitches need help. Haha.
Hi from GranCanari. We left Bergen yesterday, 35 cm snow had fallen the day before, and landed to 20 degrees celsius. 21 days in front with sun, knitting, some walking I will use your way of doing stitces on my crazy quilting blanket, wallhanging. It is so interesting to see how the same stitch is forming new designs. Again thank you for the time you give usbme!
Wow, what a lovely way to use blanket stitch and the whipping really transforms the running stitch - I can't wait to try. I love the effect of the circles together❤Thank you once again, Marion. The button was the perfect finishing touch 😍
Oh that’s fun, must dive in my box of threads to see if I have thicker yarn to use, I think knitting cotton or wool will do too. I watched this video with Fay (one of our cats) contently sat on my lap, until your cat decided he wanted to be heard. Well, all hairs on her back rise and she looked frantic at the back of my iPad, and our other two cats ran towards the window to look outside 😂😂 I had to put in my EarPods to keep listening to you and to calm down our three musketeers. They prefer bird sound, like when you sat in your garden showing us stuff. Love your new look, made me smile and wonder, “what has she been up to?” See you next Sunday and have a lovely rest of the week. 👋🏼 👋🏼 from Shirley from the Netherlands
Hi Marion. Enjoyed seeing the blank page fill up. Interesting seeing the circles and lines work together. I think going freestyle is so enjoyable. I bought my mum a couple of embroidery kits. She's been enjoying doing them by using her own stiches and colours rather than following the instructions. She'll be 88 next birthday. We had snow yesterday, mostly gone today. Still very cold, though . X
It's getting there... Considering I'm not on Facebook and I only recently joined Instagram. So I don't promote it anywhere else and started from nothing at all... :) I think it's all going well. I have an idea for the 10000 when I get there.. :)
Marion your stitched piece is beautiful, the circles and the different effects of the blanket stitch reminded me of sunflowers. Perhaps I will stitch in golden yellows and see what develops. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge and your creative ideas with us, I really enjoy your videos.
I am enjoying this series, as I was watching today, I kept hearing a cat meowing. I went twice to check our cat, to see what she wanted…. Until I realized it was your cat on the vlog… too funny thank you for all you teach!
I enjoyed watching this as I am sitting stitching on an unfinished piece I found. I'm filling a space in with Seed Stitches from an old box of thick threads and oddments that I had forgotten. Fortunately some I'd wound onto bits of cards in order to get the lid on (years ago) and decided they need to be used. I always love the combination of orange/apricot/peach and shades of green. I used to paint doilies with these colours when I was little yet don't stitch them together much now I think about it. I can just hear the village bell ringers practising this evening and hope they've got layers on until they get warmed up as it's just above freezing outside and I don't expect it's much warmer in the belltower😮!!
I know your idea was to slowly introduce new stitches but I saw some lazy daisy stitch flowers in the green fabric. It looked like a garden with the sun shining on it. You are so inspiring! I’m loving these videos!
Lovely piece of work. Yes, it's really cold here in Washington state. Slow stitching is a wonderful way to display yourself in the easy stitches. Thank you for sharing ❤🌈💚🙏💚🌈
You’re an excellent instructor. This is such a fun project. Stay warm! You have a lot of subscribers. We’re having very cold temperatures here in south Texas.

Thanks Angele for watching and enjoying my videos. I know I haven't been on TH-cam that long really. And also I didn't have a clue about filming or subscribers or anything when I started... Hi Marion, I love this week's vid( as always), thank you for showing us blanket stitch, I always struggle to begin that stitch ... but not anymore , Its a lovely piece 😊 Your description of stitching ..... I’m loving this so much! I was afraid I didn’t have a big enough piece to have for the base but my son brought me a bedsheet that is worn out but the edges are good. I’d love to make a table runner with lots of ideas like yours. I taught myself embroidery when I was expecting my son 50 years ago. I’m falling in love with it all over again!❤
That's great. Revisiting something you used to do reinvigorates you I think. I'm doing the same thing with painting. I decided I'd try and practice my watercolours every day and so far I'm really enjoying it 🖌️😊

I’m in the warmth of South Australia and so enjoy your beautiful lessons, the nicest thing is that you celebrate imperfection which relieves such pressure on us beginners.
Just finished week 3, used some wool for my whip stitch which adds texture and didn't have any variegated thread so just mixed 3 different colours together and it worked fine, thanks Marion cant wait for next week ❤ xx

As soon as I finished your video I took out my current slow stitch project and started this fantastic stitch you taught us how to do!!!😁😁. I love it!! Thank you so much Marion!!👏🏻👏🏻👍👍🫶🏻🫶🏻
Oh… I love how the techniques are progressing and the way you can make it easy for beginners to understand and follow. I am caught up with week 1 and 2, and cant wait to work on this one on Saturday. Marion, you need to come up with a “#” for the stitch book project so we can upload photos throughout the year… Maybe #MarionStitchBook? Also dear, you need to advertise your lovely tote bags to all the new subscribers ❤
Oh I did put a # one of them in the description. But maybe I didn't say or do it properly. I'm not sure about how all that works I'm afraid...🤔 I'm useless at business type stuff... I always forget to say about the bags 😅 thanks for reminding me though💐
Such clear explanations in your videos. They're so helpful to embroidery-newbies, It's funny watching this particular video as a fellow left-hander. I've realised I blanket stitch from right to left, so would struggle to sew in the same direction as you in this instance. But then I'll do running stitch from left to right, but draw a line with a pen starting from the right and heading left. Strange people, us lefties!
I think we're strange because we have to live in a right handed world and we have to do the best we can. 😊 I think we get so used to seeing right handed tutorials on things all the time so when there is a leftie one it looks as strange to us as to everyone... The only things I do rightie way around are knitting and crochet. Because I was taught when I was very young and had to just learn that way...
I hope you never tire of sharing your talents in your ‘world’; thereby, enriching our ‘world’!
I'll always be doing something Paula... whether it's stitching or something else!
Thank goodness! Your world is part of my world now , and it hadn’t occurred to me that you might get fed up with your channel 😱xx

Oh I did put a # one of them in the description. But maybe I didn't say or do it properly. I'm not sure about how all that works I'm afraid...🤔
I'm useless at business type stuff...
