I don't think it was all roses 🤔 Leroy's real life family were all drug dealers , had guns , not very nice people! his mother went to jail . He spent most of his childhood wandering the streets so I guess his world didn't have much love in it.
OMG ! Has it really been 40 years? I was obsessed with this TV series in 1982 and bought all the records and played them over and over. Amazing that the songs have stood the test of time.
I always loved Danny... my youth was enriched by watching this TV show.... 40plus yrs ago.. frightening how time has gone. beautiful song. love Valerie Lsandsbuegs dsburgs voice
Im playing this right now in memory of the beautiful Irene Cara who sadly died today I was obsessed with Fame and indeed Flashdance añd Irene was such a big part of both.. R.I.P beautiful lady I will always remember your name ❤️🙏😥
i just found this song i use watch this show on tv. i cry when i listen to this song. and that actor they are sing to died 4 weeks after this was filmed
Always makes me think of my incredible sister, Jo. She was born in 1968, after our sister, Nessa. I came along in 1973, the 3rd sister and final child. Jo and I were obsessed with pop music. Jo worshipped 'Fame'! I think this came out in 1982. And we believed ANYTHING was possible... Now, at the age of 49, I know that fame isn't everything - but music... Music runs through my veins.
This is one of my favorite songs during my high school years. My friend Tony and I would sing it over & over. The show was very powerful and meant so much to the Class of 82-84! Thank you!!!
I WAS A 16 AND 17 YEARS OLD RESPECTIVELY WATCHING ON TV FAME AND KIDS FROM FAME, ESPECIALLY THAT EPISODE WITH THE SONG STAR MAKER SINGING WITH THEIR DANCE TEACHER. I REMEMBER ALL THE CAST ESPECIALLY THE DANCE TEACHER, ON THE INTRODUCTION SAYING ' YOU WANT FAME. THIS IS WHERE FAME STARTS. WITH SWEAT'. INNOCENT TEENAGER YEARS THAT WILL NEVER COME BACK. GREAT MEMORIES, GREAT 80'S.👍👍
About young people leaving on their big journey. The struggle of leaving a place and people you love but you always knew it would come to this one day and end. My god the emotion in this song. I forgot how much I loved this program as a young boy.
When you listen to this it gives you a shiver all over. Not from fear but from emotion and a love of a truly inspirational song.We have seldom heard anything like it since❤❤
Such happy memories of this time in my life. Simple times, all the family used to sit around the tv & watch fame❤I'm glad I had those times in my life, I cherish them to this day, they shaped us into better human beings i believe😉
I have always wondered why Erica Gimpel apparently was not a part of this touching farewell song to Michael Thoma. Still brings tears to the eyes all these years later.
Man oh man, I can't get over Valerie Landsberg's voice. It is extraordinary. Almost any of these people could have had big careers in the music and acting industries.
Wow!!I am her reminiscing back in the 80s when my second oldest sister graduated grade School!! This was such a lovely song I didn't remember the whole course but I remember the in between!! I love fame I love all the actors and actresses and personalities one of my favorite shows definitely love me some Leroy such memories!!! 70s baby for life!!🙏🏾😊Quite a few have gone on,but never forgotten..I am going to live forever,I am going to learn how to fly..Fame..Remember my favorite one too!!I sung it all the time as a kid..
Anos 60,70 e 80 ainda restava um pouquinho de amor entre as pessoas, As profecias já diziam que nos fins dos tempos o amor se esfriaria, é por isso que hoje em dia as músicas estão um lixo, é de duer os ouvidos
I love this song. We did a farewell concert back then when I was in high school using this song… was emotional.. coz after that all of us parted ways…😢
I regularly watched Fame when I was young and watched the episode when this aired, it brought me to tears, and having later heard the backstory it made it even more emotional, amazing .
The original glee. And, so much better because they did mostly original songs. They could do a reboot of this if done well. Or a Next Generation show like they did with Degrassi.
By the time this TV series was on the air, I was 17 years old, and I have a problem in my house and I runaway,i never come back to my home time after I remember that song like now and I start to cry...
Si può essere innamorati di ognuno di loro? Nella mia vita da adulto continuo ad incontrare persone che somigliano chi l'uno chi l'altra ai personaggi di Saranno Famosi. È il desiderio di continuare a rivederli e sentirli famiglia.
who owns the film series why cant we have theese on 4k dvd bluray beyond upset I d pay $ 95 for all 6 seasons in 4k including 96 songs had they thought of it
It was! Broadcast on Thursday nights here in the UK, all us kids raved about it at school the next day. HSM was inspired by Fame, and would not have been made without this iconic and brilliant series. Fame focused on the lives of the students and teachers, their lives in and out of school and their dreams and aspirations that inspired all those lucky enough to watch the show.
Still listening in 2023 i just loved fame in the 80s this song was the most moving one they ever did
It was a simpler time when music was beautiful so touching miss them days
Das waren noch Zeiten....sssooo schön💝❣

When Television was quality and music was heartfelt, this is the most touching and beautiful moment in Television history ❤

This song is a little masterpiece!!!
Never before nor since was the phrase "We're happy now" so difficult to believe.
If you know the tragic story behind this video and watching this doesn't bring a lump to your throat then you clearly aren't human
I don’t know it…! Any clues?
@@FanboyMarkJabroni The actor had announced a terminal illness. The real tribute was written into the show.
It's a beautiful song but very hard to listen to.

Yes, but in real life, he only had months to live , He'd just been told he'd got terminal cancer.so they wrote this into the storyline.
