Fun Fact! This is one of the only games you can use to softmod a PlayStation 2. It involves playing the game until the second level until you get to the driving sequence, and if you eject the disc at this time, you can pop a burned one in containing mod files and install them, creating a memory card that can play any burned games or games from USB!
And original Xbox too, though it takes a lot less time than that (and an external save too).

I love this game. Cuz the 'Bond Moments' are just neverending. Bond just celebrates his own excellence randomly for every little thing he does. So you will constantly be hearing the "DUDU DUDUU DU DU DUUUUUUU" as if Bond is an insane person.
Me and the girl in my street would play this, then she moved abruptly. The heartache of nostalgia!

that's funny because the guy just looks like he was poisoned or had a heart attack but Bond surmise he was tortured even tho he had no scars or markings on him
This was my Bond when I was a kid. Not Sean Connery, not Pierce Brosnan, not Daniel Craig, THIS guy. This weird, play-doh faced early PS2 polygonal face, smooth talking animated dude. I still initially think of this guy when I think of the James Bond character.
this bond was loosely based on his voice actor, Andrew Bicknell. if you look him up, he wouldn’t look out of place as a 70s/80s era bond

If I were an evil villain, I'd definitely hire bodyguards who all sound the same when they scream "Sound the alarm!" It will not only confuse my people, but it would slowly sink the attacker into existential crisis as he thinks he is stopping the same guy instead of taking out two thirds of my army.

All the gun sound effects in this games are so good for their time and have become ingrained Into my psyche.
Agent under fire, golden eye and nightfire are the best 007 games ever.
it can't touch the sound effects of Goldeneye, they perfectly matched the sound of the movie to the game

The multiplayer was really good on this. Used to head over to my friend's and play this weekly at one point. Chaotic with the jetpack/grappling hooks!
Micky D and I have a great many childhood games in common, which exponentially adds to the quality of the content which is already so great in it's own right
The only 007 i played, was so good, i still remember the hotel level with the twins or struggling in that oil stage.
If I ever make a movie, I'm getting Micky to voice the trailer. I am now going to say 00 Agent as Oou Agent

OOh! Agent difficulty, sounds like a difficulty setting that should be included in every game, with a Micky D voice prompt every time you select it.
I remember there's a very specific mission later on in the game where you can go about it two different ways: obtain a verification code or accidentally miss the verification code and get a really funny "prize". As one would expect, I always try to miss the verification code. I also recall this game has an insane amount of characters in the story and everything moves really fast, although I do give this video props for using the always timeless Photograph meme to perfect effect.👍

@@John-Doe-Yo Well, this is a spoiler, but since you asked and I sense people won't mind a spoiler for a game made around 2001, this is what happens: if you don't pick up the verification code for the Level (10 I think it was) then the computer asks for the code, Bond sounds confused saying "Wait, verification code?!" and immediately gets knocked out by the toxic gas and wakes up in a jail cell in the next level. It might only be funny to me, but something about Bond falling like a clumsy idiot is really funny to me, lol.

This was one of the first games I had on my ps2 I friggin loved it I played through it like 10times this and King Kong are my most memorable can’t wait for more
This one always felt so much crunchier than Nightfire and I can't explain why
Agent Under Fire on GameCube was an absolute blast
Add in bots for MP (I think only available for 2 modes, might be wrong it's been a hot minute) with the more insane weapons and enjoy
All Bloch bots with Rocket Launchers for added comedy
Yup and I also remember that one map that was like the town or train station and the train would come, I always remember there being that one bot sniper that would always spawn even if you were playing 1 v 1 or 2 v 2 with friends and he would always one shot everyone, it was only that map tho

There is a hidden panel next to the lasers you can see with Q-specs. Then cut the wires for the laser

My brother and I were playing local multiplayer, sniping the civilians in the train level like little maniacs. My mom saw us doing this and took the disk out of our GameCube and snapped it in half 😂😅

I just played nightfire again and i gotta say, that game was way ahead of its time. The storytelling, multiplayer and graphics. I was having a hard time believing i was playing it on a gamecube rather than an xbox 360. 007 games used to be the best games of their time. Would be interested to see you play nightfire.

I know timesplitters is based on goldeneye and all but I'm still getting strong timesplitters vibes from this game. the gun models and the handling specifically
i used to rent this game as a child for the Gamecube and i played it for hours and hours alone and with friends

I just realized the tube chase is basically the inside of a gun barrel like the intro sequences
The "escort" multiplayer map was one of the funniest things at the time. The idea was one player had to protect a VIP NPC while the other player had to assassinate him. We would just take turns trying to kill the guy in crazy ways without attempting to protect him.

This was my first FPS game that I ever played. I remember I kept getting killed on the first mission on my first day but didn’t care because the game blew my 9 year old mind.
Then when Nightfire came out 🤯 🤯. I was convinced video games could never get any better. Nightfire is my favorite James Bond game and probably my favorite FPS on the GameCube.
Since I caught up with this series of James Bond games, I have myself been playing one of my personal faves, From Russia with Love again, so I do look forward to if you decide to play that one as well.

My first Bond game, I believe it introduced me to the main man. After this I played Goldeneye and Nightfire. Then I rented Tomorrow Never Dies and the World is Not enough (Some of my favorite Bond adventures. No nostalgia because I bearly remembered them until my recent viewings). It was just a fun combination.
All these Years later I can say the game is very fun but it’s one of the few video games I must say that’s aged kinda poorly. The controls and quick levels are really felt until Fire and Water. That’s when the missions get somewhat challenging. I’d say its a good A or B tier Bond while games like Nightfire, From Russia with love, Everything or nothing, and Goldeneye would be in S.
By the way, I hope you hit up From Russia With love, Quantum of Solace, and Blood stone in the future. Some under-appreciated Bond games right there I’d say
I always thought the oil rig level on this game was so cool as a kid. I tried building one out of lego lol
The multi-player on this game was actually really fun.. Could get jetpack and fly around landing on rooftops while hunting your buds down.. Almost like Halo online before Halo online 🤣🤣

In the first mission if you mess it up there's a cutscene where you get on the sub and get killed by the clone of the girl you're meant to save. I can't remember how to trigger it, but it was an awesome moment that makes you go "WHAT?! I'M MEANT TO SAVE YOU?!" and really confuses the player just enough that you're on edge for the next half-hour as to when you're gonna randomly get killed by clones again.
The multilayer for this game was so good
