Shameful! When Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla suggested a 2 minute silence in the House for all victims of the Emergency, the opposition made a mockery by creating a ruckus. Are they mocking the suffering of the people who endured during that Emergency?.

I don't know why MPs from West Bengal are not given key posts/portfolios by the PM ! What special qualification required for an MP to get Cabinet rank ? Scores of Cabinet ministers we have been seeing for decades from other parts of the country but could not find any 'specialities' in them which Bengal MPs are lacking. In the last Loksabha 18 BJP MPs elected from West Bengal but not a single person was given Cabinet Ministry knowing well that West Bengal is a big State in India ! This was clear case of deprivation. This is one of the major reasons for poor result of BJP from West Bengal this time. Is it the example of ' sabka saath, sabka vikash' ? The new govt must look into it seriously.
This time people of India have mandate a good number of members of Parliaments as to form an opposition for good act and to join with positive attitude in the debates on people issues.
So, they should remember this every day and act accordingly.
In this five years , if they fail to deliver in the Parliament, then I think this is the last chancefor them to be Parlimentarians and
there will not be a chance come for them to be Parliamentarians.
This is 21st century and not 19th century. So, in this century people shall be the judge for them.
First three months of Parliament, corruption in India should be the subject debated by all the parties irrespective of their stature and try to implement the stricter laws to minimize it.
From the debate of the issue of 'corruption' , this will be clear to people of India about the political parties stand on the corruption.
