Check these performances by Vidhushi Mita Nag Ji On the Sitar. These would give you the on pure raag presentation in the instrument form. And would show how in indian classical music Vocal music is the base of all other forms. All the instruments follow vocal music and try to imitate the vocal style. In earlier days and still nowadays in very less Amount Indian classical Instrumentalists were first given vocal lessons and then the Instrument was given to them. So that they could vocalize on the instruments. Both these performances are very long but they would be worth your time. Both are night time Raags. So, it would be better to listen to them at night. One is An Alaap Jod Jhalla in Raag Darbari Kanada or just Raag Darbari while the other is Raag Saraswati in which Mita ji presents Alaap Jod and gat. She is accompanied on the tabla by Rimpa Siva a great tablia of the Modern generation. Mita Nag Ji hails from The Bishnupur Gharana of Bengal which is a Over 400 years old gharana which follows the Dhrupad vocal style in the Alaap Jod and Jhalla section and the Bishnupuri sitar style in the Gat section. Hope you would react to these performances and love them.

Tbh I don't watch many bollywood films nowadays but it was part of my childhood and late teens but this was a special film it has a great message, simple and fun and great chemistry all around I feel like it's a great movie for beginners getting into Indian films, the soundtrack is a masterpiece also and this song hits different when you know the story.
Honestly I think Ranbir and Deepika have some of the best on screen chemistry ever I've loved every single film they've made together and it gets better all the time Tamasha is a underrated masterpiece and I also highly recommend it, it's so deep but impactful I hope we see another project by them soon.
The kissing and romantic scenes thing was accurate but It's definitely changed and is changing and they're becoming more realistic but you've watched older movies plus I feel like another reason it was like that is because to me anyway bollywood movies were very family oriented to be watched with any age that's what we did in my childhood we watched them as a family that's probably why it was a lot more pg then and I have great memories of us all watching in the living room.
React to Badtameez Dil from the film it's so fun but yeah the two guys she hugs are her best friends and obviously Ranbir and Deepika are more than that but that's about it I don't want to spoil much more it's a great film and you guys should watch it.

You don’t need to have a movie rated 18 to show kissing. The truth is that traditionally Indian movies are wholesome entertainment for the entire family to enjoy but movies over the past 10 years or so have adapted to the times we live in and kissing is more mainstream. I do agree though that emotion and music convey love stronger.

Hey! Love the reaction. And to answer a couple of your doubts,
    1. PDA is not commonly encouraged in mainstream movies as they’re made for a wide age group and are kept family friendly.
    2. Indian marriages are quite like this. Depending on the Indian state, the ceremony has slight differences but overall they’re all a huge, beautiful celebration of life. The food, outfits, jewellery, music, dance, settings and rituals are very rich.
    3. Anyone can have an Indian wedding but it’s uncommon as Indian weddings are quite extensive and can be a challenge to put together without local help and support.
    4. The red thing he puts on her forehead is called a sindhur and it’s a mark of being a married woman. There are 16 such signs of being an Indian married woman. It’s called “Sola Singhar”

According to us, not all the time "kiss" or "intimacy" can explain the true feelings. In most of the western movies when two ppl fall in Love, they kiss each other but BOOOM !!! We ppl have songs for every situation and maybe that is why India is also called "musical land" 🇮🇳❤️

    Translation:
What is this selfishness of yours,
That chooses neither the Sun nor the shade,
What is this selfishness of yours,
That your feet never stop moving.
    You became your own prophet,
    Traveled over the seven seas,
Still, the thirst (parched) in your soul,
    Why does it remain…
    O Kabira, listen to me,
    O ascetic, believe me,
Come, your shadows are calling you…
O Kabira (Saint Kabir was an important figure in the bhakti moment and he is referred as synonymous to a saint, a spiritual person beyond all societal bindings and restrictions), listen to me,
    O ascetic, believe me..
How can you be so unattached & heartless…
    That broken cot,
That cool breeze, waits for you,
    That cream of milk,
and the earthen pot of cold water waits for you..
What is this selfishness of yours,
Neither salt nor sweetness suit on your tongue..
What is this selfishness of yours,
That you have forgotten old love…
A free man, a free spirit,
    A stormy of wind,
    That drowns within you,
    Why does it remain…
    O Kabira, listen to me,
    O ascetic, believe me,
Come, your shadows are calling you…
    O Kabira, listen to me,
    O ascetic, believe me..

The dynamic of the song was not what you guys were thinking. In the first shot, Deepika wasn't the one who dumped Ranbir, the guy lead, it was the other way round. Ranbir kept avoiding commitment with Deepika because he wanted to travel the world and follow his passion for photography rather than tell Deepika she meant something to him, get married and in his eyes, settle. So Deepika lets him go because she has a set life as a doctor and wants Ranbir to not sacrifice his dreams. Deepika is devasted to see him go and Ranbir is finally thinking if all the world travel is worth leaving his lady love behind again. They are at the wedding of their old friend in this video.

Thanks for your reaction. Kabir is Indian poet, and considered Kabir is considered a Sufi & Hindu Brahmin saint. The movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani you can watch with all your family. Rekha Bhardwaj & Tochi Raina were great in this duet. Kabira was produced & also sung by Arijit Singh. This was shot at Lake Palace in Udaipur, the beautiful City of Lakes in the Aravalli Ranges, Rajasthan, the Royal state. It is a feel good movie based on the journey of the characters in their youth to adulthood the decisions and choices ones makes and have to live by and the complex relationships between close knit friends, their families etc. It is nostalgia as well, as we all go through these different complicated phases in ones life at some point or the other.

    For more clarity:
The Sindoor, also known as Kumkum, is believed to be a symbol of marriage. Married women apply sindoor in their hair parting starting from the point in their forehead to the centre of the head. And the tradition of applying the sindoor begins on the day of marriage.

Okay I am spoling it for you guys I cant keep it in. So there are four of them. The girl who is getting married, the drunk guy, the sad guy (the trio) and the pretty girl. They are friends since school days but the pretty girl was basically a nerd and wasn't a popular kid like the remaining 3 (the trio). But after graduating, the trio and the pretty girl cross paths again on a trip to a hill station. By the end of the trip, they share their dreams and so the sad guy wants to become a traveller and wants to travel the world witha free spirit, the pretty girl on the other hand wants to become a doctor and settle down. This was the reason of the heart break because they can't be together because they want different things. This was the pretty girl's second heartbreak from the same guy because he didn't even notice her back in school.
That's all the context you need for this song. Watch the whole damn movie people, its really good. Good enough that my family friends sneeked me in the theatre because my parents weren't allowing me to see it cuz of the intimate scenes and curses.
    SPOILERS AHEAD.
This is the plot from wikipedia of the film.
Naina Talwar (Deepika Padukone) is a medical student absorbed in her studies. She tops her classes but feels like an outcast due to her introverted nature. An encounter with an old classmate, Aditi Mehra (Kalki Koechlin), makes her realize that she wants more from life than high marks. Thus, she makes an impulsive decision to follow Aditi on a hiking trip into the Himalayas, up to Manali. During the hike, she renews her friendship with other former classmates, Kabir "Bunny" (Ranbir Kapoor) and Avinash "Avi" Shiv (Aditya Roy Kapur). Bunny is a charmer whose dream is to wander and discover the world and has no interest in ever settling down, while Avi is a playboy and is addicted to beer.
Throughout the trek, Bunny and Naina grow closer. One night, the two climb a mountain and Naina sees a new side of Bunny, causing her to grow feelings for him. Meanwhile, Aditi grows jealous of Lara (Evelyn Sharma), one of their acquaintances, as Avi flirts with her a lot. Bunny and Naina realize that Aditi has feelings for Avi, but keep quiet. At the end of the trip, Naina is close to telling Bunny that she has feelings for him, but is interrupted by Avi who reveals Bunny was accepted into the graduate school of journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago. Naina realizes that love and marriage have no part in Bunny's plans and remains silent but is happy for him as he is following his passion.
Eight years later, Naina has finished medical school and is now working in a clinic. Bunny works as a videographer for a travel show on FOX network, hosted by Riana Sarai (Poorna Jagannathan), and travels the world as he had always wanted. He receives an offer from Riana, who now has become a good friend of his, to become a host for a new travel show, which he accepts. He also receives a wedding invitation from Aditi - revealing that she is marrying a man named Taran Khanna (Kunaal Roy Kapur). Bunny arrives to the wedding destination and while the girls are happy to see him, Avi acts repulsive since Bunny avoided his calls and never bothered to stay in touch with him. Later, in a conversation with Naina, Bunny reveals that his father Sanjay (Farooq Sheikh) had passed away and since he had been in a remote area, he couldn't make it to Sanjay's last rites.
Naina's feelings for Bunny grow once again, and Bunny finds himself becoming attracted to Naina. However, she doesn't want to get her heart broken again, leading herself to avoid hang-outs with Bunny. Later, Bunny sees Aditi fighting with Taran, and thinks they were fighting because Taran was jealous of Avi and Aditi. But Aditi reassures Bunny it was because she wanted to slap Avi for spending two lakhs on booze and poker and says that Taran was trying to stop her from slapping Avi. Bunny also confronts Aditi about her crush on Avi but she says that she has gotten over him and is happy with Taran. Bunny then realizes that he feels the same way with Naina and goes to see her with two drinks in his hand. Bunny sees Naina with another man, Naina's friend, Vikram (Rana Daggubati) and feels jealous, causing Bunny and Naina to argue. While in the midst of arguing Naina tells Bunny that she can't keep on hanging out with him, because she will fall in love with him again, and he won't again. Bunny eventually comes closer to Naina and kisses her. Afterwards, Bunny and Naina admit they love each other, but neither is willing to give up a career to follow the other. Naina says she is happy staying with her family, living her simple life and doesn't want to leave whereas Bunny wants to see the world. Naina decides that it's best that they forget each other, and they embrace each other in a tearful goodbye.
On the night of Aditi's wedding, Bunny leaves for Paris. At the airport, he realizes what he is leaving behind and instead goes to his home, where he reconciles with his stepmother Shivani (Tanvi Azmi). On New Year's Eve, Naina, alone at home, receives a surprise visit from Bunny. He explains he has turned down his dream job to be with her and proposes spontaneously, but Naina fears that he might regret his decision later. Bunny counters that he is happy with her and wants to continue travelling, but with her, arguing that somehow they can make a life together. Naina agrees, and they have a conference call with Aditi and Avi. Aditi and Avi are happy to know that Naina and Bunny are together, and they all are having a great phone call together. They all wish each other Happy New Year and the film ends with Bunny and Naina embracing.

You might not see much of kissing in Indian movies, because PDA is not that common, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any kissing scenes, there are family rated movies that show intimacy and then there’s adult rated movies in which you get more than kissing. But I think the main reason for it being that way is the actors, some of them don’t want to French kiss on screen, like shahrukh Khan he had made a rule for himself to not to French kiss in movies, he has but you’ll not catch him doing it in all his movies and it also depends on the storyline,a French kiss wouldn’t fit in a historical movie.

Here, in this movie in particular, there was a scene where Naina (Deepika Padukone) and Bunny, the guy in the video met properly after 8 years so you can call that a special place, on the very same bench and that's why he is sitting there, reminiscing. It's a beautiful movie, one of people's favoourite here in India.
