- The centrepiece of Ramakrishnan Murthy's performance at the FEA-curated A SOUTHERN TURN concert was his rendition of Raga Bhairavi.
In this the first of two parts, featuring the Ragam Tanam segments of the raga, Murthy and RK Shriramkumar commence on an intricate dialogue between vocals and violin.

Listening to Sri Ramakrishnan's bairavi is absolute bliss. Pray for his healthy and long life.
Accidentally stumbled blessed to hear him.
I might not be justified in saying that this is the finest exposition of Bhairavi that could be heard in recent years but I found it the most enjoyable at least and my personal view is that the young artist is easily the best among performing artistes today, regardless of whether he has been the recipient of official honours....such a superb mastery over the Raga and the range of his sonorous voice is amazing...and a picture of humility on the stage unlike mamy others who are popularly considered celebritites. If Sri Ramkumar is indeed the mentor of this pheominally gifted young artist he has every reason to be proud of his disciple!
Super performance and highly magnetic
You are absolutely justified in tagging this rare & classic rendition on top of everything we heard on Bhairavi. Nothing wrong in having so many number ones. RaGa sisters’ Bhairavi for the Kruti Lalithe is another and so on like this. TN Krishnan’s solo Bhairavi evokes similar feeling. Nevertheless, we can not miss to mention the greats like Late Shri Nedunoori Krishnamurthy & Palakkad K. V. Narayanaswamy.
