Just a heads up. You need to go to Harbor Freight and buy ICON 22pc Long Jaw puller set. It pulls the drum up and gives slack on the belt to install. Install the first drum that has 3 bolts first and bolt down. Put on zip-tied belt. Use the puller to pull drum up, then install it, so easy. Less then a minute. Also use 600 grit sand paper on the bearing holes and clean with wd40. Remember sand evenly and not that much. It will go together like butter. Thanks for the video, you helped me greatly.
It's terrible how much searching was needed to find a video like this. Thank you thank you. I feel confident in doing this to my sisters car after watchimg this!
I think that there was another video (Russian/Ukrainian?) with this K114 - oh, you mentioned this in the video as I was typing... will continue watching and make another post if needed. - Thanks for having this video.
I guess it could be but the unit is very heavy and making sure you get the alignment to the dowels correct without accidentally touching the gasket maker would be very hard.
Hi, thank you for this video and I want you to tell me how to put back the spring and I found the bearing from the order that you ordered and thank you so much, appreciate your video and your cooperation. It helped me so much. The only thing that I couldn’t understand is the spring putback method because I’m opening one right now and it has the same problem that you had but the spring just I’m just trying to know how to put it back
Im not 100% sure which spring you’re referring to. I think you’re talking about the spring that holds the parking pawl lever. If that’s the one it’s a bit tricky to get on but there is only 2 ways for it to go and I can’t remember the specifics but if you do one way and the end of the spring is not fully touching the lever then flip the spring over. I think one end is longer than the other and if it’s correct the side of the spring that pushes on the lever will be taller than the lever so to have full contact on the lever. I hope this makes sense.
You'd have to call around and ask. I called some of my local transmission shops and they either A - dont work on CVTs or B - would not do it because there was not an approved rebuild kit. Essentially the transmission shop is not going to open up a transmission to only do a few of the bearings, They told me if they are going to open a transmission they are just going to rebuild it as its lessens the chance of a comeback later on.
Did you have any Pressure Control Solenoid or Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch error codes. I believe my bad bearings in the transmission triggered the sensors
I’m not an open to the public shop. I started my TH-cam when I was doing mobile work on my own but I’m in a different position now where I get some odd ball jobs that I do myself and this one in particular was one that I recorded as I knew it would help a lot of people. I even got a few job offers haha
Have a Turkiye 2018 C-HR - got fluid changed around 30k miles. I only have 48k miles on it now (not the daily driver). Oh, it WILL get another flush at 60k miles and every 30k afterwards - wish me luck...

I’m glad it helped. It was a pain to find the info myself

Ebay and Amazon sell bearing kit and gasket kit, about $120 for both.
Ok, I have noticed the parts become more available. Clearly the problem is becoming more common
More like the monopoly that was on cvt parts is coming to an end thanks to the chinese 😂😂 @@sparksperformanceandrepairs
Would it be possible to do this with the transmission still in the car?

Swapping mine with the transmission still in car right now 😅

Will knowledgeable transmission shops perform this instead of new transmission?

No I had no transmission codes. It is possible the bearing material may have contaminated a sensor.
Did you have to do a TCU or ECU reset after the repair was made?
No everything was more or less reset from having the battery disconnected for so long.
Have you tested it out yet? Did it work? Give me an update please 😅
Yes it fixed the problem!
Where are you located ? How much you charge to do this job ?

You have the part numbers and supplier for the bearings by chance?
Hi
Where can I buy the bearings?
These are the specific bearings I ordered. www.ebay.ca/itm/185944169267
Did it take long to pull the transmission?
I did it in between other jobs but i would say about 4 - 5 hours and never having done it before I took my time.
Where are you located?
Thank you for your video. It helps
You are welcome!

Watch the whole video. I'm not sure replacing the fluid every 30k will help if the bearing is the problem. 😭
