I'm currently building this kit (I'm in the painting phase) and ran into the same fit issues. I was able to improve the fit by sanding the corners of the bottom of the forward bulkhead. The gap got smaller, but still needed filling. Otherwise it's been a fun build.

Great build to your usual high standards. Unique looking vehicle with excellent weathering. Too bad that the seams gave you a tough time. I would have used slow dry black super glue to attack the problem. No shrinkage issues.

Great build, as always!!! Some small comment : the license plates looks to clean as the vehicle dives in and out the water at a small angle.
