hm....I still prefer Rich Mullin's version of this song, there's this feeling of desperation as well as hope in how he sang it. On this one though, I still feel the emotion but it's more melancholic than it is raw. Add the fact that the piano in the original version gives it a more solitary feel to the song, as if the song is just between you and God. This version feels more open, not that I find that wrong but it doesn't have the same moment of intimacy.
