The melody is from Hendel's Zadok the Priest used in the British coronization. The song "Champions" is originally sung by Jo SuMi, Korean legendary soprano. She wrote Korean lyrics on the ERA's Champions and sang it as one of 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup anthems. Funny thing is Jo SuMi's Champions was not known to westerners so much while Champs league theme song less known to Koreans (other than soccer fans). Kang HyungHo sang the same key as the original soprano did! So wonderful indeed. Anyway this song sounds a way better in live. I hope you can experience their live singing someday!
KBS채널에서 올려줬던 불후의 명곡 및 열린 음악회의 Champions 영상들이 해외에 공개가 되어 있다가 현재는 저작권 문제가 있어 청룡영화제 시상식 축공 영상 말고는 해외에 안 보이는 상태인데 청룡영화제 영상은 음향이 별로 좋지 않아서요.. 저렇게 교차편집하는 수고가 어마어마한 것은 차치하더라도 저기 쓰인 원본영상들 모두가 해외엔 지금 막혀있는 KBS영상들이에요. 아마도 그러한 이유로 해외 리액션용으로 주로 추천되고 있는 것 같습니다. 라이브가 아닌 녹음으로 오해받을까 염려하시는 애정어린 마음에 감사드립니다. 사실 라이브 영상에도 실제 라이브의 반의 반도 못 담겨서 억울(?)한 면이 좀 있지요..^^;;
