Thank you so much for the videos. Suggestion, please mention when the black meter probe is off-camera where you attach it so some of the beginners like me know that and show the rotary of the meter so we know. We are not familiar with technical English sometimes and we could just see. Thank you so much
Hi Richard, these aren't dried up compound, these are solid foilish gapfillers like graphite ones. These usually not shrinks so the termal connection between the heatsink and GPU always optimal.
What to check if gpu is working, but under load goes off. Tried 4 different psus and in another pc... Display freeze and pc restarts. Thanks for videos and sharing your knowledge!
Fairly new to this but pretty sure my gpu overheated as was having temp issues then disassembly shows tbe water block fins are fairly blocked by corosion. Is it beyond repair? It was in use when it just stopped giving output (in tbe middle of a really important interview, which i had to finish with no output). The thermal paste was basically powder on removal with some evidence of corrosion around the powder (some of it looked greenish) the rest of the gpu looks perfect and all of the things here so far are good (although im new to this so not confident but going through this slowly) Now when plugged in its not recognised on my rig or a friends. It's now been sitting for about a year and a half. Its a 3080 Waterforce which i bought from Ebay during the pandemic so couldn't RMA it either. I am UK based. Do you think from the above description theres any point sending it off to someone like you or is it just dead? If it is dead, what could i do with the other components if i was interested in learning electronics? Looking into all this has me interested now
Hey there is it possible at 30:52 the fuse is shorted or did you have missed the tab? thanks for your interesting video, that is what I was looking for. I am trying to diagnose my gfx card on my own now.
I have two faulty GeForce 8600 GT cards. There is a coil and associatively two caps that read zero to ground. It is the same on both cards. Is this normal?
Thanks for thus gpu repair series!!! I will refer back to it again

Hi Richard ur the best pls help my GPU dead gigabyte GeForce 9600 gt
What is the proof of a dead core, when all voltages are present but there is never any picture and card is not detected ?
No, there can be more reasons for that, keep watching and I'll cover them in later episodes
