The two NY city council members must be up for re-election or pandering to some environmental group. Morning Doug! Checking in from a rainy but still lovely Nassau, Bahamas aboard the Carnival Elation. 🙋🏾♀️ I totally understand the open air cabanas and AC concerns. But with no changes to the rental costs, my guess is that Carnival is trying to supplement their portion of the impending Bahamas tax increases with as little out-of-pocket expense as possible. Kudos to NY for their efforts to reduce emissions from the docked cruise ships. Although I’m sure the expense of funding the onshore power will hit cruise consumers in the wallet somehow, someway. But it won’t stop us cruising…lol. My favorite cruise ship venue to date has been The Chef’s Table. Thanks for the updates DP! Stay blessed my friend. ✌🏾🚢 🥰
I booked one of those in May for $600. The air conditioner did help. We won't go ashore at Half Moon Cay anymore. It gets too hot and there's no shade.

It's not a lot for the cabanas when you divide it among the number of people using it. Friends of mine has a group of 12 rent the 2 story for the day and it worked out great for them.
@@damonb4826 we have only been to Disney Castaway Cay we spend the morning on the beach have lunch then head back to ship for some quiet time by the pool so yes our family would not get our moneys worth

Riduclous price on cabanas. Started at $199 on our 1st cruise. I didn't complain about the $350 but damn. More than $500 for some shade, 6 cans of pop & stale tortilla chips & guac?! No way.
