  • This episode, we are completely replacing all brake lines, proportioning valve, brake booster, and master cylinder. This is long overdue on this vehicle and this is also to prepare for a rear disc brake conversion on this car.
    This is part 1 of 2 on the brake system. The second episode, we will be installing front and rear disc brakes.

      From the rear of the car, I slipped in the brake line over the rear axle.

    at 2:27 in top right corner.... No one never mentions the Brake Booster Filter part #80195 after the Brake Booster Valve. Can or should this be bypassed.

      You can bypass the filter and go direct to the booster with a vacuum line. My only concern would be if any particles in the booster get sucked into the intake. It's probably unlikely but possible. I replaced mine with an aftermarket one to be safe. They are relatively inexpensive.
