- Why study history? What’s the point? How does learning about the past affect my life right now?
Well my friends, those are all excellent questions which millions of people around the world have asked at some point in their lives. The answer might be surprising because in the end, the answer is always YOU.

Why we study history?
For me, history help us define our identity who we are, where we come from and we are connected.

I like how you used History to approach this topic, I think I always agreed to this on some fundamental level. Im 45 now, and when I was little they didn't have much for electronics to entertain yourself, ( I remember when Nintendo came out ) we played a lot of boardgames back then 1 of which was a game called Risk. I think as a fun thought expirent my friends dad asked us if you could choose any weapon that no one else could use to win what would you use, 1 of my friends said Nukes, my response was propaganda, Obviously a lot older and wiser now and can articulate the thought but boil it down, control the information control the war
History also states that.... Nothing lasts forever! And that's what inspires me to study history
Bachelor of Arts in History is my course and I keep asking myself, why History? And I find this so thanks for your wonderful video.

I still remember so much nights in grade 6 I've been like: "oMg I haVe tO Do my WoRK oN tImE aNd stAy iN gOogLe meEt"
and then there is the grade 7 me: "iT's oK i sTilL haVe tiMe TomOrRow" and then the day before deadline me be rushing all the way to midnight
now I'm grade 8 just doing work when I want to but *mostly* would be completed before the deadline (mostly not all)

Well speaking of history kind of saying things, like what we did before. The civil rights, slavery, economies, people should look back in this. Think about what they said back then. Just like today, they made the same mistake in 2020, saying that economies come first. While everyone is about to die because, of the COVID-19 outbreak. This is a great video it's really nice as an example. Thank you for this explanation. :D

I believe that studying history is important because we can gain a better understanding of important events of the past and why the present it’s like this. Also by studying history people get a better critical thinking. We all have a history and understanding the past helps to inform our decision in the future. It’s important to look historical events from multiple perspectives. It’s also important to learn from our/others mistakes so we can create/make a change.

Finally here and since I'm done with school I finally realize why history is important. I don't have a heart in history because parts of the situationship does deal with politics religion wars, presidents, and whatsoever. However I do understand history from a food industry/fast food trends perspective and a entrepreneur perspective cuz clearly when a company goes out of busiwax I am doomed to repeat from what I didn't learn and along with the rest of the employees and employers.

past and history are 2 different things we learn from OUR past the history of other people matters only if it's important and in this video it says that I'm making history why? so the future generations can suffer the same horrible fate of learning history again and again until there is so much history that we reach the capacity of history so why don't we stop history now and end thousands of peoples suffering and pain of learning history?
