Post convergent what you can expect: The two membrain liquid sandwitch that surround your heart the periardium will be disturbed during operation which may lead to postop Pericardial swelling. Symptoms are back neck or shoulder pain, weakness and fatigue, shortness of breath (especally when laying down) and swelling in the abdomen or legs. Treatment is strong ibuprofen or steroids, mine subsided on it own. Postop you will be very weak and your chest will have a dull ache you wont be able to take a full breath for several days and rivers of green pflem from postop for the first days after will be coughed up , they may stich your exit wounds from the chest tubes. Your left side could have a large edema protruding from your waist, this will take two weeks to subside. Overall you probably will feel like you aged 20yrs for the first week at least getting better the second week. I was driving after the second week. This was my 5th ablation (first convergent) I was in Sinus Rhythm immediately.

Yeah I went in to talk to my thoracic surgeon this working with my cardiologist and he wants to make four holes in me and put a left atrial appendage clip on that sounds far more drastic than what you guys are talking I'm not sure if I'll ever have them do it

This is a very informative video. I wonder Is this procedure being deployed thru all states in USA? Can someone please provide feedback on this inquiry? Many thanks!
