@@DeathsAvarice yeah, some people who have never experienced the lower ranks think they're all dogshit like this but gold players usually are decent at one aspect of the game, like maybe one has dog gamesense and positioning but can hit his shots, one might not have the aim but makes up for it with positioning and so on. this guy is the worst of the worst at ALL aspects of the game. that's what makes him bronze (probably bronze 5, as my bronze 3 dps friend isn't even close to being this bad)

I know where all the players are at all time, i know their strat from the moment i see them. I know their dance pattern (right+left to juke the aim) but my hand is 1 second behind.
blizzard shouldnt ban cheaters, their acounts should be shadowmarked and they should only match with other cheaters, at the end of the season the best cheater could earn a sticker or something

I am the opposing tank in that game and I thought his aim was fishy that game but I couldn't tell tbh his awareness was that of a blind, deaf, and mute rock yet his aim was oddly good at times so seeing this has made my day :)

This is a really important video for people who claim that it's not cheating when you see stuff like this. There's levels to these types of cheats beyond just hotkeys or foot pedal switches to turn them on etc. Slight aim assist, sometimes nerfing the head shots to every few shots(adjustable) etc. This can be especially effective with hitscan players etc. The telltale is almost always positioning and movement. I tend to be suspicious when it's a good lobby, but one person is 25-15 and the deaths are because of skill diff and bad positioning etc. A quick review of the footage almost always turns up crap like this video is showing. I'm not going to say its rampant, but it's enough that major streamers like @Flats can make content all the time...
From what I've been seeing, a lot of the telltale signs of cheats are in the tracking and wall hacking. Kill cams alone don't tell the full story unless the hacks are really blatant. It's good to watch replays (and the whole replay, since cheaters often crank up the settings or do some interesting afks) when suspicious. Too many people still think aimbot means constant head shots.
Exactly. The forums are full of idiots claiming that cheating is super rare, that they've been playing OW for 5 years and saw "2 cheaters the whole time" and other BS. They're either ignorant to what cheating does and CAN look like or plain lying.

@@TGG104I don’t either I’m gold as a casual player not playing often still pretty bad at the game but I’d rather be bad than cheat at least when I pop off or do good plays it feels rewarding to improve but cheating deals cheap and like if I was watching someone else play, boring, maybe fun for messing in a private lobby with ai or friends having a laugh.

The unbelievable thing happened in my game yesterday, a cheater actually got banned mid-game in my comp games! And honestly, I think I was the only one in my team that noticed they were cheating, also I wasn't saying anything because skepticism. Then the pop-up (Player has been banned, game cancelled w/e)
Anti-cheat went on a break and came back just for my insignificant game. _(most likely not anti-cheat)_
I think one of the devs said something about the report function not working either until just recently. My group and I noticed that we weren't ever getting "thanks for reporting" screens for reporting obvious cheaters and toxic people like we normally did, but then I saw on twitter one of the devs mentioned that the feature hadn't been working up until just after the start of season 6. So hopefully we'll start seeing the streets cleaned up soon. It could be possible that anti-cheat wasn't working either since Blizz devs seem to care about anything outside of fixing OW2.

I could see where the guys talking from though. The guy has low awareness but not none, possibly from the cheats. His aim is actually shit, hence the cheats and often times he is out of position. I can see gold for sure man. Maybe not gold 5 but gold 1 or 2 wouldn't be outrageous.
Of course, I havent played ow in over a year. Just remembering back to when I did play ranked.
@@kill3rw0lf39 As a Gold player, I don't really see him there. Someone in the comments said it really well: Gold players are usually really good at one aspect, but need practice in other things. The best skill of this Soldier was his aim, but that was due to cheats and he still didn't hit most shots, which is why I believe he would have problems in Gold as well.

My aim is trash, but when I ult with soldier, I still manage to get mercy because it's hard to miss its a damn aimbot, lol
I think the reason he was sniping with right-click on torb is because even dealing a small amount of damage will give you an elim, so he was trying to pad his elim count to make it seem like he wasn’t as bad.
The key thing to note about soft aim especially watching in slow motion is the immediate change in direction of the crosshair depending on the movement. Also he probably was doing right click only due to right click being hitscan and him having no projectile cheat enabled.
Overwatch 2 is becoming TF2 with all of these cheaters 😂

The only thing I felt like this cheater hit was puberty
It's a softlocking aimbot via trigger + walls. You can toggle the aim on/off on command and seems to be tuned down so that it's not 100% obvious. They're often customizable so you can choose where the hits go directly or by random within a set X/Y axis. Used to use such software when I was a kid, around 20 years ago in ET with dedicated servers for cheaters. Same methods are used in game development as well, i.e. hitboxes or what ability hits where directly or randomly in an area. Nothing has changed regarding FPS cheats it seems.
The follow-up we never knew we needed 😭
1. I really think it's easier at high level to detect hacks because of their focus and observation so they will continue to detect abilities not to mention high level no 1 player will automatically pop up and control the match, low ranks they may have the concept of lucky shot.
2. I wish blizzard could upgrade their anti hack system or ask people in the community to help like adding a condition to participate in professional competition such as watching 1 hack video a month or paying streamers to check hackers in videos

Anyways, because of you an emon's hilarious cheater videos and my own recent frustration with running into people like this (I just recently switched from console to pc, never seen so many aimbots) I looked into how these cheats work and why it's so hard for blizzard anti cheat to detect em.
You can clearly tell this guy is either using a crappy, possibly self-made aimbot based in python, or his PC is so terrible that his cheats can't even work well. The funny weak point to these aimbots is they are FPS dependent. So say you're running an aimbot on a 30fps machine, you'll miss more often than not.

I’m not a soldier main, but this entire sequence of events pisses me off so much 😭
1: You really shouldn’t stand still like that, especially when the enemy KNOWS where you are.
2: Shooting at that orisa was so frustrating because mercy was RIGHT there to heal her. Headshots or not, the soldier was never gonna take her out that way. *(Bonus wtf moment: ignoring the rez immunity and shooting anyway, letting everyone get a chance to see where you’re shooting from)*
3: He was low from the javelin throw, and his healing is on cool down. His supports are dead. He still tried to get some shots in, but this dummy didn’t pay attention to the fact that he was out of ammo, so he stood there and RELOADED in front of everyone 😭😭
4: When he finally decides to retreat, he DODGES the HEALTH PACK.

Yeah, I got them in my game once and whenever I interacted with them this weird thing popped up on my screen that said “hacked” and it canceled my abilities. I hate hackers ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

about shooting someone and missing, i was on fire a game as Hanzo, missed really few shots, and even they managed to find enemy head, like jumped away from enemy DF 180 killed hes support behind by missing and it was "blind" 180 flick, same dude kept collecting my missed arrows to head.
It looks like the farther away you are from an enemy, the more intense the cheats are!

Spraying through the wall is the obvious moment, if they magdumped at the edge of the wall it is strange but atleast could be argued they were hoping the target would backpeddle into those shots.
I'm curious if the reason he right clicks distant targets is to hide his aim cheats. He can just say they were hit by the spread and it isn't his fault. I would think that it also allows for a weaker snap setting since he is essentially shotgun blasting, thus he can look less like he's aim cheating and he's not patient enough to wait for a hitscan aim snap anyway. The up close left click could be a cover as well, to say of course he hit them when they're that close. Now he just needs to get better at not shooting targets through walls, then he'd probably get away with it.
replacing the turret in the same spot instead of just repairing it made me giggle
that looks like one of those cheats that is harder to detect as it does not inject code but rather affects mouse inputs and colour detection. so they would be assigning a colour value that matches the name/health bar of target and then offsets its position to have it under the name roughly where the character is, then the cheat tries to keep the crosshair within a defined area to have it move around in that area instead of a hard lock. which is why it looks weird in its movement.

Surely they can set up an ai that tracks mouse movement.. even the most perfect human mouse movement isnt straight and is curvy. Aimbot is pure straight lines everywhere.
And im pretty sure there was some talk for another game about stopping smurfs by creating a profile of how you move and aim.
Surely ai could be usee to EASILY determine shit like this. All it needs is a little bit of data and just ban the worst cases. Like aim for 100% probability of cheating and ban those players so no chance of banning legit players

this is a tactic to throw off peoples suspicions. if he randomly checks walls with nothing on the other side, it helps to obscure the times when he does check walls with someone there.

4:29 PSA: Aim assist in OW does not work this way. There is generally 2 methods of aim assist in general. The first is the one the Flat speaks about further on, a pulling aim assist. The other is a sticky aim assist which is what this game has. Sticky aim assist basically dumps your sensitivity to a very low amount while you are on a target so you won't over shoot it. So if you see someone pulling like this even in QP, they are cheating not on controller since that isn't how aim assist works in this game. In COD and Apex, yes, but not this one.
not to mention there is no aim assist for controllers when on PC, iirc
so I randomly decided to look at my replays and realized how weird my camera movements are like I can sometimes just manage to lock onto someone without ever seeing them and following them through the wall I dont even know they are there its just how I play I always appear like im cheating its strange anyone else like that?
