I really don't like them. I find their music incredibly boring. Saw them directly after Korn, who were incredible and I was having a ball in the pits. Then Rammstein came on and I don't think it was any good tbh. Ended up leaving early, the stage show is cool but I felt it didn't match to me.

I've seen quite a few bands live including Korn, Van Halen, Rush, animals as leaders, Iced Earth. The best "show" I've seen from a band was Rush on their Time Machine Tour. The best "live act" I've experienced was surprisingly Intronaut. To this day they are still the only band who played so loud that my eyes were oscillating in the sockets. I unfortunately never was able to see The Who, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Meshuggah, Pink Floyd, or Devin Townsend but I hear that they are all quite impressive live bands.
Rammstein #1. The show and theatrics is everything. Pantera - most emotional, raw power, and absolutely fun shows I've ever seen. Type O Negative - on Halloween this is the best show I've ever seen in my life - but also some of the worst shows when Pete was too hammered to function. Machine Head - best recent live show I've seen. Intensity and fantastic crowd.
Man.. Meshuggah are a product of some super high-tech shit, I mean 5 robots that look and talk like real people... The only things that gives them away is their playing, I mean no human can play that tight.... Every fucking time.
i saw them in 2 different eras of their sound. i saw them during the time when theyre were playing destroy erase improve kinda style and then much later like koloss. seeing both i can tell you they had an intensity back then that could not be touched. now they have a density that is less intense but more present.
Anthrax, that I've seen at least to make a proper assessment. Three times I've seen them, absolute madness. Complete crowd/band interaction, with the entire venue going crazy with energy. Second I'd say Suffocation. Now that I think of it I've seen them 7 times, and they always blew the roof off. So maybe it's a tie. (I'm referring to Suffocation with Frank Mullen)
I definitely agree with Meshuggah. From start to finish you're just bombarded with heaviness, and the light show that goes along with the music is mesmerizing.
Motörhead is the loudest band ever, I was in the back of the venue at the bar, and I still went deaf. When I saw GWAR, in the same venue, I stood in the same area (waaaay in the back), and I STILL got covered in alien blood and semen.

Having been to about 200 concerts myself, I'll say some shows are just about the times. But Iron Maiden and anything Ozzy takes the cake! The sound, the energy and the amount of hit songs both bands have keeps you going from beginning to end! I'll give honorable mentions to RATM in their prime, Gojira, and for a shit ton of fun GWAR!
Faith No More and Slayer. Those gigs blew my mind completely. And there was an English prog rock band called Oceansize. I have a special edition of their live DVDs and their performance was out of this world.
Tool was probably the most amazing show I’ve ever seen... but in a different way, Origin and Fleshgod Apocalypse blew me away when I saw them live... I saw All that Remains open for Dying Fetus when they had just released “This Darkened Heart” and that was the first time I had that cliche stoner moment when I could hear colors. The melodies between the 2 guitarists sounded so angelic through the speakers i’ll never forget that.
Ya Tool and Meshuggah in terms of technical perfection, Korn and System up there in terms of energy. Best is probably between Tool and Meshuggah, no contest.

Slayer shows are all meat no filler; Iron Maiden, Gwar, and King Diamond are fun and theatrical; Judas Priest and Motorhead shows are freakin loud; but Rush is best live band I have seen.
Taake was absolutely wonderful. Flew from Canada to Norway just for their show and I was broke for a while but totally worth it. but on another note I'd say the best live band is Rush, holy fuck. I'd sell both my elbows to see R40 a fourth time
I gotta split this with AC/DC. Both bands cannot and will not be touched up on that stage. When either is on it, they own it and anyone on that bill just has to live in their wake. But to be fair, I've saw Maiden more times than ACDC, so slight edge to them lol

For over 30 years they've consistenly delievered great live performances of their music while also making sure to create great setlists for each tour they do, no matter the era they've been in. The particular gig was the Meantime tour at the Cathouse in Glasgow, same line-up that then recorded Betty. Saw them later (Size Matters tour - Frank Bello on bass), very good gig.

I gotta split this with AC/DC. Both bands cannot and will not be touched up on that stage. When either is on it, they own it and anyone on that bill just has to live in their wake. But to be fair, I've saw Maiden more times than ACDC, so slight edge to them lol

For over 30 years they've consistenly delievered great live performances of their music while also making sure to create great setlists for each tour they do, no matter the era they've been in. Don't matter if it's 1989, 1999, 2009, or beyond. They deserve a place in the top 5 greatest live bands ever. Completely agree with your choices by the way.

The particular gig was the Meantime tour at the Cathouse in Glasgow, same line-up that then recorded Betty. Saw them later (Size Matters tour - Frank Bello on bass), very good gig.
