For those of you saying there has to be a treat every time, that is only at the beginning when you need to associate the clicker to a reward. The correct way of training is to slowly transition away from treats, that is the whole purpose of a clicker. When the dog hears the clicker they know it means they did the right thing. First you treat at every click, when you see the puppy has understood the queues, you continue training with tricks they know already by treating every second click, then every third, and you keep transitioning until they don't need treats until they need to learn new tricks. And when they have learned the new tricks, you use the same transitioning again. Giving too many treats is bad for a dog and that is why the transition exists. After they complete the training, you can reward them with their favourite thing, be it favourite food, treat or toy or petting. Y'all don't know shizz and come here telling other people how to train this person's puppy. So young, you can see how energetic this pup is and yet the owner can keep their attention. She knows what she's doing, leave her alone and worry about your own dogs.
What you've just said is EXACTLY how clicker training works. I really wouldn't want to see the health of a dog that received a treat every single time they sat or heeled or followed a command. And if you're having issues with a highly food motivated dog that loses interest in the clicker without getting a reward, do the training at meal time. Use the dog's kibble as their reward until you can transition them off needing a reward every single time. Never oversaturate your dog with treats. This will negatively effect their health and could cause serious dietary issues.
@@pinkfire2344 exactly. I mean otherwise poor dogs are gonna salivate every time you ask them to "come here" or during a walk where you ask them to sit while waiting to cross the road, etc. Idk man, some people
Oh hell yeah, very well put and it needed to be said! You could absolutely tell whatever she was doing is working. Why would anyone even criticise? People just like to give opinions even when it’s not needed.
Does the same thing work with cats? I give them treats for each command but they don't really focus or listen well when I have the treats out. Which is also why I try to limit each time to like 3-6 commands each so they get 3-6 treats. But the treats don't really work for the "paw" command since they haven't yet learned to give me their paw without hooking their claws in my hand to pull the treat towards them

I remember my handsome guy being that small. My how they grow up so quickly. My dog Ganja is a spitting image. Just wanted to hi from me and Ganja and great job on training.
He doesn't get them every time, that's how clicker training works. It keeps them from salivating when you have them sit while waiting to cross the street during walks and stuff like that.
reminds me of a scene in Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs when Chief refused to fetch the stick but did it anyway and saying he's doing it because he feels bad for the kid.
The feeling you get when you're told that there's an extra task that's needs to be done at the most inconvenient time! You do the work, but will make sure that the person asking will constantly get a piece of your mind.
Siberian’s are super sharp. Give that pup a 10! My x had a chow mix pup that even brought her slippers. She wasn’t a trainer but we treated our dogs like our kids.❤️❤️❤️
Just two tips for whoever is reading 1. Make sure to give treats after tricks if you're using a clicker. You don't want to break the association 2. Try to repeat your command less. If you're giving the dog treats, they might just need a minute to think about how to get it.
No, she's doing it perfectly. Treats only come in the beginning. After a few weeks of training, you're supposed to move away from treats and just use the clicker, otherwise the dog will become completely dependant on treats and always expect a reward. It goes clicker and treats, then clicker and a treat for every second trick, then no treats at all and just the clicker, then, eventually, no treats and no clicker.

He’s being obedient and disobedient at the same time. So cute
Actually, yes.
Ho doesn't want to be instructed, but is following instructions inspite that.
Huskies for you 🤣
“I will do it but it doesn’t mean I have to like it”
a preteen xD
We had an Alaskan Malamute and she would always do this, even when she got older. Miss her :)
Baby huskies have such cute angry faces
I know 😂❤❤
100% can confirm this is how Huskies act.

Dogs are easy to train when they're puppies, the puppy stage is probably like a honeymoon... And then reality hits. When they're teenagers holy shit
What a darling puppy. I just love them so much. They talk all of the time and fuss too.
There has to be a verbal response for every command....so cute 💝❤️❤️
Everyone's talking about clicker trainer and I'm over here looking at the dog's eyebrow patterns. He looks so angry XD
Edit: damn, 500 likes?
Sooo adorable right? Hahahaha
The pup has that perpetual „EXCUSE ME“ look, bwahaha.
He is angy.
Ikr, he is like:
Shouldn't you hoomen gib me treats if i do this?
Any puppy video is a cute puppy video!❤
Perfect training n understanding for such a youngster he listens very well but has alot to say 🤣. Cute as a button too!

Ganja
Nice name
Medication, at least it is to us.
Cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool
you name your dog ganja? lol thats indonesian for weed
Ganja is weed everywhere
Treats to start, wean them off, and when adults, the commands are automatic and the reward is they are the most amazing dogs ever.
I wish I would have done a combo of praise and treats. Now my girl is very treat oriented and gets upset if she doesn't get one every time.
It’s good to do both combo to not make them dependent on treats. Now my pup listens without treat and when he does get a treat he’s extra excited !
it's never too late! it's fairly easy to transition from one thing to the other actually. you can always mix the occasional treat of course.
Aw
You're sure this is still about the dog ? 😅😋👊

Huskies are so vocal 😊
They are easy to train, they just give so much sass.
They are so talkative. It cracks me up every time I see a video of huskies.
: )
Literally just "I do what you asked, but Imma complain while I'm doing it." Lolol
This little puppy is so smart. It taught it's person to click the clicker each time the dog does something.
"Remy come."
"Remy sit."
"Speak."

"Good boy."

What An Adorable Baby ❤❤❤
Wish my husky was this talkative. She barely speaks. But she does say good morning and hello when I get home, so there's that.
He deserves some treats...he's so obedient ❤️
He doesn't get them every time, that's how clicker training works. It keeps them from salivating when you have them sit while waiting to cross the street during walks and stuff like that.
What a CUTIE!!😂 And smart..great training 🎉
Wow this husky is gonna grow up and he will become so sassy 😂😂
That face would tell he's ready 🙏🏾
Aww, such a handsome little puppy ❤ you’re doing a wonderful job with the training!
OMG, how adorable. I love how he went to his crate! Great for when you have company over.
Did you train him or did/does he work with a trainer?
I trained him basic commands routinely, untill he was about 8 months then I got a trainer to help!
I like how he talks back every step of the way....so dang cute
This little one couldn’t be any cuter if you called in and ordered him like ordering a pizza at Domino’s . 😍
The puppy is like a kid at a family reunion being forced to sing.
Cute 😍 little puppy 🐶 😍 💕

Incorrect. Treats are only for beginning clicker training. The point is to transition away from treats.
