Wow, this was one hell of a performance, arrangement and reharmonization, and the corresponding choreography, costume and cinematography are all absolutely sick as well. The coldest cold open in the series-deeply surreal, beautiful, kinda scary, camp af. Presumably all just as intended. I think it may haunt my dreams, now, too.... and I can't wait!
Anyone else feel like the series was too rushed to a finale? Maybe just me, but i feel that in the earlier seasons, much smaller events or storylines were expanded upon in more detail than say bigger events that were barely acknowledged in the later seasons. All in all, it is still a brilliant work, brought to life by many talented and passionate people.
I can see why iy was rushed cause it was the last season and this series is about the crown's history of Queen Elizabeth II. I really wanted them to do two more seasons that see how Elizabeth thought and dealt and guided Britons thourgh 2008 Financial Crash, The Japanese Nuclear Meltdown, Emergance of Brexit, Election of Donald Trump, and most importantly Covid-19.
@@rockmanx00777 Peter Morgan always said he'd never take the show up the modern day, because in his opinion, anything more recent than 20 years ago isn't really history but more journalistic. Since the show went up to 2005, which at the time of release was 18 years earlier, he was already pushing up on that. Would be interesting if he revisited the series in the future to cover the Queen's last years, particularly the scandals surrounding Prince Andrew, and Harry and Meghan's exit

I never did-although the feelings, how they might have felt in a specific crisis, were well adapted, in my opinion.I think "The Crown" was, in the end, full of mercy and also full of dignity towards the real Royal Family.After all, it's still a family that tries to be common. Anyway, they'll never be. That's the price of being privileged.I really hope, because I'm a big fan, the series will continue for around 5/10 years. I mean, it's not like there isn't much more to tell; we all know for sure!

It's purpose is to entertain not to persuade, and if people on both sides are saying it's propaganda for the other then they've trod the line between the two correctly.
