Great tips! Starting with a silhouette is an excellent way to incorporate the page boundaries into the sketch from the beginning, and not run out of room! We love the full-bleed image that spans across the spine- no hesitation, use every inch! Nice!

The distance splitting method for the body shapes is simple and really effective, but I'm sure a lot of practice would be required to do this and get it to work well. The face minimal details technique is a great tip, I always mess these up by trying to put in too much detail that then makes the face look very weird...

I always would draw the heads and struggle with the rest if it’s not accurate to the rest of the body, so simplicity and such is something I’ve learned to better embrace as a perfectionist lol

Haha, you made it look so easy! But seriously, man oh man, this makes so much sense, and I'm switching to this approach. I'm going to toss in the trash what I have been taught so far about figure drawing, with stick figures and human bone structures and cylinders and what not, they kept me from progressing for the longest time.
