My family used to own a cyber cafe when I was around 12 years old - almost 20 years ago. I was kind of the rallying cry for the games my friends would play, from Diablo 2 to Counter Strike 1.5 to Serious Sam, Shattered Galaxy, DAoC, Call of Duty 1, Empire Earth, Age of Mythology, Starcraft 1, Unreal Tournament 1, America's Army, and so many more. We got this set up on our machines and I filled a LAN co-op game at one of our all-night LAN parties - I think 6-8 of us. The amount of screaming, excitement and joy we had playing this level left memories on all of us. I still talk to those friends to this day, and from time-to-time, we reminisce about the great times we had playing through Serious Sam: The Second Encounter. Some of us tried to set up another LAN with the game, but it was of course not the same. There are better games now. But the memories cannot be replaced! It's a shame the owner of the business was such a jackass. He eventually kicked a lot of his best-paying customers out and even banned me - his girlfriend's son, and the bringer of his business. He tried to convert the place into a tabletop and console cafe, but it ended up failing. Oh well. It was a niche business and wasn't going to last forever!
This level blew my mind with the fact that their where so many monsters. Than it just blew my mind again with this fight in particular and I was literary screaming at the screen, "WHEN WILL THIS END?!!!".
Playing at a lan with 5 others, on the last few levels, on the hardest difficulty, with unlimited lives and ammo, is one of the most satisfying things that Ive ever done in ALL my years of gaming. Watching this just made me purchase the HD ones on steam :)
I remember senior year of HS 2002, I would get out at 12:00 cause I was all caught up on credits to graduate. I would go home to play this before going to work in the evening. Great times............
different engines, different stories, different enemies, guns, etc two entirely different games really. I prefer to view the Second Encounter as more of an expansion pack than a full sequel
love the fact that ppl come to a game and say the song rox , but the music company itself doesnt make (barely) any good music these days xD proves that u dont need million dollar singers/artists to please ppl
This was probably the most played game I own on PC...note that this is saying part 1 and part 2 together. Each and every fight was epic and when you had your back against the wall, praying you'll take all the enemies out before they reach you...I never get that feeling with any game (except maybe the library in Halo:CE). ...however, I was REALLY disappointed with the cartoony look of the second :(

I remember playing Serious Sam 1 + 1.2 with my bf back then. It was so much fun. Great soundtrack too. And his comments are hilarious.
