You actually did a great job facing your fear. Could barely tell that you were scared.
Michael’s cameo was a fantastic touch, editing team!!
Lol
Would've been amazing if the bird made a FaceTime call 😂
I was dying hahaha
Same, i was laughing way to hard. 😂
Kudos to whomever edited in the footage of the bird "calling" Michael Knowles, that made me laugh out loud 😂
Genius
I wouldn't be surprised if it was real because of how smart they were. Ravens and crows have the intelligence of a seven-year-old child.
As someone with a pet bird and someone who loves birds, this makes me happy. I’m glad you faced your fear!
Same!♥️
Having a bird that flies to your hand ad befriends you is like having your own dragon. It's a magical feeling and I happy that you've experienced it too☺️☺️
Courage, is not the absence of fear, it’s being afraid and doing it anyway. Great display of courage from you.
"Courage" lmaoo she held a bird.
@@MbappeDaGoat Courage is different for everyone. It's only courageous if you're afraid of it. It's not courage for me to hold and handle large snakes or spiders because I love them. But for me to jump into the ocean when I'm a mile from shore would take courage for me.

I've had birdaphobia since I was like 8 years old. I live in Alaska and I went inside of an outhouse and a giant robin flew out and scared me to death. I ran out and my friend Mike tried to enter to investigate and the robin flew out and flew right by my head. Another bird flew straight at me when this bad kid knocked its nest down. Those two incidents made me fear birds, but lately, I held down a seagull who got hooked on a pier in California while another man took out the hook and it flew away. I also have been feeding a Camp Robber who made a house in my roof, so I've been making lots of progress in overcoming my bird fear.
Hey Brett! As a girl who is an early teenager, I just want to say thank you for saying what you do! Also, as a fellow theater kid, I'd love a video of you talking about your favorite musicals/ dream roles/ roles you've played!

I don't think I could ever be scared of birds, geese included. I did start rock climbing when I discovered I developed a major fear of heights between climbing all the big trees as a kid and getting out of the Air Force. So naturally I started climbing 12 years ago and I have come a long way. There will be no soloing, but I do trust my gear and don't mind a big fall.
We did have a farm dog that would take on any stray fighting dog or pack of coyotes and always walk away unwounded. He could always be found whimpering under the porch when the wild turkeys were around.

Conquering fears is something we all should do daily, and congratulations for conquering one of your fears, Brett.
Daily?
@nmfthewood yes daily, Minuscule things.
So true
Daily? 😐 I'd be too afraid to conquer them DAILY.
Do you have any idea how scary fear _IS?_
It's frighteningly terrifying.
I'm from Arizona and I have this weird hatred and FEAR of birds. I truly think it's from all the filthy pigeons we have everywhere. Birds can fly and I mostly certain I am jealous of that ability but this video made me soooo proud of you and makes me hopeful to conquer my fear of them one day. Thanks to you and your video staff for supporting you and being troopers. Everyone seemed to have a blast, it was all reassuring!! Thanks again!
Me too and even afraid of seeing them dead!
For the longest time I thought Kestrels were seabirds. You learn something new every day. That looked pretty dang fun!
That is so cool, I film wild falcons and corvids all the time. You are very lucky to be so hands on.
I'm adopted by Americans and originally from Kazakhstan. I'm almost 100% Hunnic, and my family line for thousands of years have ridden horses, hunted with eagles and falcons, and lived like nomads, total badass people, which is super cool and stuff....
Then there's me. I run away from the tiny parrots in pet smart cages, cry when a segue gets too close to me at the beach for too long, and can barely walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded. My ancestors would be so ashamed of me. 😂
Genghis Khan feared dogs. We all have an illogical fear. It's ok and you have a great heritage. I love Kazakh history coming from Greece
It was awesome to see birds from my childhood, especially that "Crow with the Tuxedo" (that's how I used to call them, since most of the other species are mostly all black)🤩🤩
well as a european, the eurasian magpie is extremely common, and they ofcourse have a very pronounced crisp white fluffy looking accents under the wings and white tail accents
they have the longest tails of all of the crows, generally taller than the bird itself, and it has this quirky way of wagging that tail up at an interval to keep balance on thinner twigs and clothes lines haha
they're common as dirt where i live, i've probably seen 80 today not even really leaving my street
i can probably open my back door and hear a couple machine gunning from some rooftop within a minute :')
noone can leave the house in this area without the magpies taking notice and clicking it back to others, they see you
still trying to befriend a couple lol
@@klontjespapQuite common near me too. I just call them ‘Toon fans’.

That looks like fun. Maintaining a pet falcon or owl would be a nightmare, but spending the day at a falconry place would be awesome!

Did you guys know that conservatives have the highest divorce rate in america? While many suggest its due to societal and mental factors, i hypothesize that the conservative man's inability to please his women in the bedroom is a reason for this.

@@MbappeDaGoat🤓
@@MbappeDaGoatBro, nobody cares or asked. That shit has absolutely nothing to do with this video lol.
Great job Brett! Birds are nothing to be scared of once you get to know them a little. Now I’m wondering how you’d feel about feeding pigeons, ducks, or chickens now.
well...pigeons are too small to fly, so i suppose feeding them would be the next best thing.
@@snickle1980 I was thinking being around so many birds would be a fun next step. Feeding the birds is a fun way to kill time and relax. Don’t people also train and fly pigeons? I mean, carrier pigeons are a thing so they have to be trainable to some degree right? I don’t own nor have much experience with pigeons as they’re an urban species; so if anyone with experience can correct me I’d love to hear it.

I don’t think I could do this, so props to you!! I’ve always had a fear of birds of prey. If it’s pigeon, seagull, dove, etc., I don’t mind them.
But if it’s a hawk, eagle, owl, vulture, condor, pterodactyl etc., that’s a big tall glass of “NOPE” for me.

Birds are great when you understand and respect them for what they are!
This being said that does not discount a reason to fear them at times I've seen a lady get knocked out in a parking lot buy a hawk because she park too close to her eggs.
They taste great as well.
@@ParagonChumba here in my hometown in the netherlands like almost a decade ago orso, we used to have an owl that would swoop on dogs and graze people over the top of their heads, he was terrorizing people walking their dogs at night, and sometimes people cycling along
until one night, a bad judgement call on the owl's side, cause it to crash into the glass pane of a bus stop after a swoop and knocked itself clean out,
aftter which it could be captured and it was sent off to the local bird park for a checkup at the vet and for them to take care of him in captivity
funnily enough, we have the biggest bird amusement park in western europe (avifauna), it's not even that huge or anything but it's a pretty niche thing to have lol, i was founded by a family of hotel owners that came from this town of which their last name happens to be "de valk" (the falcon) too, starting up the park with their amassed capital,
i guess having birds int he family went a loooong way back having that name, or it's just coincidence they opened up a bird amusement park :')
to add to all the confusion, their hotel branches and their other companies have had a Toucan as a logo for decades, not a falcon for some reason lol
they even have their own butcher shop here too, with serious quality meat, ofcourse with their their connections on the hotel branch, they can buy in high grade stuff in bulk, and use the butcher's to sell off certain meats on discount when the hotels aren't projecting to sell as much as they go in, so they have an outlet to minimize their losses there, and we get good prices on high grade meat, gotta love availability.
i have budgies, they're fucking great lol such cute and smart and busy little buggers, and pretty colors on top of all of that too lol
but i guess that memo was already out, seeing as parakeets are the most popular domestic pet bird in existence :')
Respect them as government spy drones.
