@Alex Mercer you are misinformed. If you had known better, in the new update, you CAN jump off cliffs with parachute, they fixed the sprint animation long time ago, you CAN get rid off the level gears. Dont comment if you are misinformed.
And it says a weaker weapon is better. Like i used the sc20k and it worked great, but no, the weak, inaccurate smg from the enemy is better. I'm so happy they fixed it up and added immersive mode
With the new immersive mode the game feels more like what they've shown in the first gameplay trailer! I hope more is coming in the future like shoot while driving, AI teammates, and more class...by the way nice video!
@@geoffreyscrivens3600 The marketing executives demanded a loot system in the game and the Dev team likely ran out of time and manpower to actually implement the AI teammates (amongst other foundational problems) because of the time wasted on the nonsensical loot system.
I just wish the game was been like immersive mode just like we want in the first place. No gear level bs and be like wildlands roots but some idiot decides to tell ubisoft community to do the division stances and make it up to level which all players hate our customised outfits and everything been on level which is not sense in a ghost recon title
Plus I really want the ai teammates to be in this game and Idk why they said its hard its cause of someone I. Ubisoft force them to take it and be like division that's why this ai squad gonna take time 😑☹️☹️
A step in the right direction, I'd still like to see AI teammates, offline mode, better vehicle handling and I also wish they make the guns sound better, they sound like nerf guns
I am quite happy that a lot of games are actually improving and correcting their flaws. That is a very good sign for the industry in my humble opinion.
I am wondering: How has the game improved on a technical level? When it released it seemed to have been infested with bugs, glitches and weird ai problems. For example I remember watching a streamer doing a railshooter mission, but as soon as he hit an enemy vehicle, the ai would stop and leave the vehicle imediately, which made the whole railshooter mission a farce. How has the game improved in this regard?
I ran into a few minor things - mainly with the new Deep State missions, but nothing major. just characters clipping here and there... I would have to spend significantly more time playing to identify all the bugs - maybe create a final review later on.
Razor Calahan There are still many bugs, but at least the performance is much better and there are no more game breaking bugs (as far as I can tell 11 hours into the free weekend)
As someone who has almost 70 hours in Breakpoint and 300 in Wildlands I can tell you that this game has improved in no small way at all since launch, technical wise. Playing in immersive mode is not even hard for me since I have a lot of hours in the game, but it falls into the same reason I died so many times in Wildlands' Ghost mode. Instead of fight enemies you're now fighting the game's engine. Now that health bars are done away with and drones die so much faster the only obstacle left is the game itself. I can attribute almost every swift death I've had so far to buggy enemies, long and unbreakable animations, terrible physics, and a missions system that is built with easy mode and a gear score in mind. Most missions are not scaled toward being in immersive mode and will do frustrating things like spawning 3 or 4 drones and 10+ enemies just around the corner and expecting you to be able to fight that just after spawning and right after a cutscene with no cover. On top of that stealth means close to nothing and defeats the "immersion" factor right out. Many missions, small or large, will spawn in enemies at certain checkpoints that come out of no where and already know where you are. Even if you haven't done anything and haven't been spotted the game will decide, "Oh, we need a cool game trailer moment now so here's two helicopters and a few dozen enemies from the treeline you already cleared.". The worst part is watching enemies spawn in at random locations the game thinks you aren't watching on thermals. Stealth is constantly broken by the games new and sometimes better character animations. Like Arma 3 you'll sometimes just hit a texture and your character will have no idea what to do and just freak out, stand up, or keep spinning in circles on the ground. Guided mode is another big thing they advertised in-game a lot. An option that when toggled on or off will remove objective markers so that you have to follow clues and investigate for yourself. But half of the missions clues are "It's by this lake. It's in this house right here. It's on the shelf.". And the other half are "It's in Auroa. It's south of the top of the map. It's by some grass." leading you to finally find whatever it was talking about and rub up against everything in half a kilometer like a horny cat.
@@_Maroi so true. Did yesterday the deep state mission where i have to cover that bee guy while he is deleting his project on the Solar plant and i kept failing for an hour because there were just too many enemies and enemy vehicles to fight off at once if youre playing solo and on the hardest settings
Indeed it is. But thankfully they let me freely talk about what I felt about the update. I've been waiting for this overhaul for a while.. didn't even bother with a final review last year for Breakpoint. but now that the game has immersive mode, I'm enjoying it a lot more. Feels a lot like wildlands now
As someone who hugely disliked the direction they took with breakpoint, this update is a welcome one from ubi. The fact there are so much customisable options is really awesome and something more games should do. Hopefully the next GR leans towards tactical realism and stays far away from any form of loot / tiers.
I just got the game and immediately changed to Immersive mode as Im not into the gear levels. With the HUD disabled and enemy icons disabled on the mini map it becomes a great tense game. If theres one thing I cant stand its the super powers in these games - tagging, wallhack, xray vision, alert clouds, explosion warning (silly red circle appears on the ground!) all that nonsense. One of the AI team has a drone that does a scan and shows all enemies through walls. Theres also a skill that does this. I disabled AI special abilities and avoid skills that give xray vision. They take away the challenge and tension. I appreciate other gamers like these features though, we are all different. As long as game devs give us the options to turn of HUD elements then both kinds of gamer can be happy :) Great video btw, nice commentary over calm background music instead of the super loud dubstep and 10 hour intros I see on the other vids lol. Keep up the good work :-)
I started a new character for the new mode yesterday.. about 8 hours in and its like a new game.. the new mode ramps up the difficulty if you don't use your ears and take your time making progress thru even what was the easiest areas in the original mode . And I love it for that fact.. it plays like a milsim now ..with less time being wasted in my inventory pouring over stats and weapons I found my self in the game so much more.. every mission feels life or death and that's the way it should be especially when the game is supposed to be behind enemy lines survival... In closing I'd love for this game to get a re review as I believe the work here needs to be acknowledged Awesome vid got ya self a new sub . Keep it up
Just got it for the free weekend to see whats it's all about. Whent straight to the imercive mode at highest difficult. Holy shit a game! I'm loving it a couple of hours in. Now I just need to find someone that's starting out to to play with 💪

Can they stop with the Sam Fisher references and just announce the next Splinter Cell game please? I’ve been playing Blacklist again and I can’t wait much longer.
maybe they're constantly making a build up and as soon as there are enough people hooked on to it (on both the Ghost Recon audience and Splinter Cell audience), maybe they'll finally reveal a Splinter Cell game...
@@Jactheitalian Blacklist and Chaos Theory are the best in the franchise, including Double Agent for me, with conviction being cool but not really the same style.
Alexander Cockburn yup. Ghost recon is just another one of Ubisofts money vacuums now, that is quite literally all it is, purely designed to take your money and that is it. No attempt at an actually decent game whatsoever. The ghost mode is simply there to make people say “oh wow maybe I’ll buy the game/spend money it now”, whilst keeping the shitty game design there. No changes as far as that goes.
Every cutscene I see, the voice animations make me sad with how rushed and out of sync everything is. Wildlands took it's time. This still feels rushed.
Those new splinter cell missions were awesome, especially since I appreciate a stealthy approach more so than my friends. But I’ve noticed a lot of strange bugs surrounding this update. To name a few, even with the year one pass, I cannot use the new classes without starting a new character, mustaches clip through the half face mask, and grabbing seems to be more hit or miss now, having to press and hold the button several times before it finally works. I appreciate the new immersive mode and it’s made the Breakpoint experience significantly better, but I do hope they push out a fix for all these really weird bugs I’ve been experiencing.
(Recently Purchased) Fast Review. I avoided this game for the longest as I have waited for a steam release. I finally got it a few days ago. So far, I started my first playthrough in immersion mode and must say I am highly impressed with both gameplay and visuals. One thing he didn't mention (maybe this didn't exist during the production of this video) the game has a feature called, "Free Friend Pass" which allows you to invite 3+ friends to join you for free without limitation. I'll admit, after watching this video, I been playing the Deep State missions believing the entire time that I was playing the main story. It's a no wonder the missions played Chaos Theory music. Great game so far, I can recommend!
@Nick930 Things I want in the next Splinter Cell Game: -Great Plot / Story in an immersive open world environment that works for the game and its mechanics that strengthens gameplay. -Environment to be like a open world with a Wildlands, Breakpoint, Chaos Theory, Pandora Tomorrow, Arkham City, Akham Knight, MGS:V :TPP type feel. -Either Latest Version of Unreal Engine 4 OR (if released by then) Unreal Engine 5 on Next generation consoles taking full advantage of the RTX graphics for environment, character design, movement, and lighting/shadows. -Gaining all the strengths in game mechanics from Splinter Cell Pandora's Tomorrow and Chaos Theory including adding some new ones from other games like: * Choice base sequence mechanics that can change the outcome of the story (Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, Double Agent) *Abilities to improve the flow of movement (Pandora's Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, Batman Arkham Knight, Assassin's Creed Unity) as well as movement that compliments the environments that sam's in as well as sam himself (Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Pandora Tomorrow) *Improved more complex Lighting and Shadow Bar and sound indicator, as well as Enemy A.I. field of awareness (MGS:V TPP, Chaos Theory) *Improved and adjusted goggles vision for EMF, Thermal, and Night Vision (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Batman Arkham Knight) *An Assistance Mode for new players that need help with controls or guidance during gameplay to make it enjoyable for them AND an immersive mode that gives you a more realistic approach with no HUD or A.I. assistance for more hardcore or veteran players. *An extensive customizable option for weapons and gear to have whatever kind of approach you'd like to have in game for a mission when available to you (This is not to say we want it available all the time like in SC Conviction but more like a items OSP or limited item drop mechanic like in MGS:V TPP. (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, Rainbow Six Seige, MGS:V TPP) *An Arcade mode that allows you to do time trials or have a point system depending on your approach of the mission and how well you execute as well as leaderboards to be competitive against other players AND a survival mode that limits ammo and equipment and enhances A.I. to actually plan your approach better as well as puts you in adrenaline quick decision making situations when conducting a mission. (Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019, Halo Master Chief Collection, Ghost Recon Breakpoint) *An Option for FPS view on any weapon for more accurate precision shots or even a more immersive look on the world/ environment around you (MGS:V TPP, Ghost Recon BreakPoint, MGS 2/3) *An Option for more immersive gameplay mechanics like Third/ first person lean mechanics for shooting behind cover or blind fire or cover/uncover around the corner fire, hanging from a pipe or ledge or upside down fire, or different approaches to door breaching, or different approaches to using tools or gadgets for hacking devices, lockpicking doors, pickpocketing enemies, etc. (Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell Double Agent, MGS:V TPP, Rainbow Six Seige, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019.) *An Option for more immersive CQC combat for when taking down an enemy quietly or subduing them to question them, use them as a shield, search them for ammo, equipment etc. (MGS:V TPP, MGS4) *Better uses for equipment like laser sights and Flicker lights on flash lights. (MGS:V TPP, MGS4) -A Return and improved version of Spies vs Mercs in Local Multiplayer and Online Mode. -A Return of Co-op mode with cunning new ways to play and approach missions. -More immersive A.I. interaction with other enemy A.I. conversating with eachother or working together more efficiently to find the player or take on the player during gameplay. (Batman Arkham Knight) -Multiple ways to engage a level from different directions and pre-requistes to keep it fresh and interesting (Hitman 2016, Hitman 2 2018, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, MGS:V TPP, Assassins Creed Unity, Ghost Recon Breakpoint) -New music by Amon Tobin or Flying Lotus.
Big appreciation to Ubisoft for adding a detailed setting to customize our experience. I personally much prefer the RPG Division-like approach, but appreciate having the option of switching to immersive.
im glad you did this, straight to the point and clean just like always , keep up the good work my man on another note, now i have a reason to buy this game.
I've always loved the gameplay from wildlands. And to see breakpoint turn into a looter shooter kept me from giving it a shot. With this new mode, I'm more than happy to give this game a shot
I was already ok with regular mode but having a new way to play is good too. i plan on exploring it more when i feel like changing my gameplay up. The update did fix the crash bug i was having in the mountains so i was very happy about that. Half of the comments sound like people who dont even play the game. i started playing this more then GTA because of how stealthy and tactical you can get in engagements. as long as new missions and more ways to customize my character come in.
8:25 "felt more like a new splinter cell game than Blacklist" That's a bit of a reach. The AI GRB is still as dumb as ever and the stealth is still just as bland as ever. No amount of dressing up in a SC outfit and skulking around in the dark will change that. The melee takedowns are still just as excruciatingly slow as before and your movement options are the same (no hanging off ledges, no context takedowns etc.) If you already prioritize the stealth approach this DLC won't change anything in terms of gameplay except maybe the AOE stun gun. The sonar is pretty much just a sniper detection "nade" launcher. And the writing is just as lacking as the rest of GRB's writing. Even Ironside sounds robotic. On a positive note the music brings back good memories and the immersive mode feels like a step in the right direction.
it's obviously not a splinter cell game. No you can't hang off ledges and such.. my point is, it felt more like a classic splinter cell game than what the series had turned into. Just sneaking from shadow to shadow.. interrogating enemies (which you CANT do in blacklist outside of cutscenes). Hacking computers... amon tobin's music.. Michael ironside. And btw.. the AI in splinter cell (aside from chaos theory maybe when it first came out) has always been dumb as a bag of bricks. "Huh......... I guess it was just the ghosts!"
@@Nick930 I respectfully disagree, Blacklist is no Chaos Theory but it felt like a return to form in some aspects especially after Conviction and feels a lot more "classic SC" than anything in GRB. Even the AI in Wildlands was more believable when it came to detection because you had partial visual detection (if enemies caught enough of a glimpse of you they'd become suspicious and investigate). In GRB unless the the visual detection meter fills fully you're good and it just dumbs the whole experience down. It's a step back and one of the main reasons why stealth feels so gutted.
@@HellKnightX88 It's certainly a return to form I can't deny that. And don't get me wrong.. I love blacklist, I think the guy that played Sam managed to deliver a solid performance, the story was intense, and the takedown animations are easily the best in the series. But I did not like the fact that the levels were all designed with the annoying "waist-high" cover in mind... looked like a gears of war game. I also didn't like the more linear level structure, the lack of night-time missions, the missing "Split jump," no ability to hack computers and read emails, no interrogation, no lockpicking.. it was a return to form.. but only a little bit. I also HATE the "First person" briggs stuff.. huge mistep. And then there's the Spy v Merc mode... not even remotely as good as the Chaos Theory/Pandora version. The "Death from above" thing was not balanced at all, and the lack of a FOV option for mercs was a big issue. Now as far as my comment regarding Ghost Recon and how this felt like a classic splinter cell, I say this simply because it had ironside, the classic music, and things like lasers, traditional nightvision/thermal, and emp to disable tripwires. It had a lot of inspiration from the classic games and reminded me of playing the originals. It didn't feel like Conviction or Blacklist because those games rely so heavily on fast movement and the "mark&execute" thing.
This sounded a bit too much for me also. While Blacklist surely made some concessions towards being more action oriented, at its core it was still very much a Splinter Cell game. Even though Sam is not voiced by Micheal Ironside, over the years I have started to consider Blacklist to being one of the better SC games.
just bought the game because of the discount. I decided to go full hardcore. I jave died more times than I want to admit, and I am only on the first base and have been for the last 4 days (6ish hours of game play). Amazing how you come to appreciate the weather and time of day.
One of the things I really liked in Wildlands was how well the weapons were balanced and how all the clothing and such were 100% cosmetic so I was quite upset when I learned that Breakpoint is going to include leveled gear because I really dislike that concept in modern games that also try to be realistic at least to some degree. If the game is a looter shooter like let's say Borderlands, then it's fine. I almost didn't even buy the game because of this. That's why I was super happy when I heard that the game is getting an update where you can turn off leveled gear completely making it more like Wildlands was and now I'm happily playing the game without leveled gear.
@@Afterthought_ which is Bs. It's not impossible they're just too lazy to do it. They said they cant because you have shared progression in the campaign and multiplayer but both rainbow six Vegas games had that feature with offline included. You just earned a little less when offline.
Here’s my suspicion. They had all of this finished and ready to go. They decided to release the game only with leveled loot so the die hards would buy them then after they get obvious back lash they “listen to the fans” and then release the complete game. They knew what fans wanted from the get go, but they still wanted to cash grab.
I enjoy both elements, gear score and realistic. Gear score pushed me to try new guns that I’d have otherwise avoided, realistic? Well,it’s on the label 👍🏻
I don’t have this game but these changes are much welcomed I think it adds the fun back in I really enjoyed the game before this one and I was hesitant on the new one. The new colours tiers remind me of Far Cry New Dawn. That change alone makes a nice difference.
I prefer WITHOUT gear levels... When you get a gun. you should be able to use it without worry of (bouncing shots) off enemies due to lack of equipment level... its a matter of realism. and "Gear Levels" is what killed The Division for me...
i dont mind the looter mode as it gives me a purpose for raiding a base but i also like the choice of going full hardcore as i already play on the hardest difficulty
I don't care what anyone say, this game is very cool, and it is better to play with friends, and even better with friends who has the same teamwork/tactic/immersive mindset
Honestly, As good as Ghost recon series is, I do Prefer MGSV, ik ik both are different types of games, But still. MGSV had a much more immersive experience without having an Immersive mode. Like, ghost recon now has teir based weapons and it sucks... During my first play through of MGSV, I didn't even Unlock any other weapon, I just had the Standard AM MRS 4, and I upgraded it to level 2 when I was like halfway through the story and I Had an amazing Experience, I Didn't even know that you could customize your weapons till my second play through. Like, The gameplay (especially during my first playthrough) was not depended on the teir of my weapon or the level of the enemies. Instead it depended heavily on my gameplay skills.. and that's what makes a game amazing in my opinion, and that's why I consider mgsv a masterpiece
I've been playing in extreme immersive mode and almost no hud ever since the mode was released, and now with the option to reduce drones and improved stealth against drones, I find the game finally enjoyable
I mean if we’re being real and these guys have drones obviously they’re gonna have some tech that enhances their view of the battlefield so it’s not far fetched to have enemy and key points marked and a mini hud.
Michael Ironside, dark environments, Amon Tobin soundtrack = the ultimate splinter cell (aka: chaos theory). I love blacklist.. but it pales in comparison to Chaos Theory, or even the first two games
@@Nick930 You are greatly exaggerating saying Blacklist "pales" in comparison to previous Splinter Cell games... yes the story, characters definitely do but on the rest it's a great evolution and it's fun to replay again.
@@Nick930 I totally agree I love blacklist and it's fast pacing shooting style but man Those games before blacklist was making history I never forget double agent and conviction Back then there was so much hype behind it that I bought all the wallpaper of the game I was super excited before even touch the game I literally lived with the character ,good old days
Still waiting for AI squad and changing the way Nomah runs lol but I understand those are more core changes and aren't that easy on a released game, still great changes it brought me back to the game for a second chance, I'm enjoying a bit more myself in the immersive mode
Questions: 1) If you have duplicate weapons and gear in regular mode and switch to immersive and then back, do you lose those extra weapons? 2) If you don't get additional weapons, how do you get enough parts to upgrade? 3) How are different difficulty-rated areas handled without a gear score? 4) Doesn't this make immersive weapons more powerful in the early game?
They try with fix the offline mode for this game and they tell us by there post it's not that working for them and it's hard to put it back way it is sorry for use don't get the offline mode and yeah I feel the same too
Apparently a exec at Ubisoft thought since the Division and Assassin's Creed sold pretty well with the new systems that GR would too. Problem is, those systems were advertised up front. Breakpoint was touted to be what Immersive Mode is without a single mention of gear score, and now look. Ubisoft, at least, can learn from their mistakes. Activision and EA...not so much.
From 2023 : both Wildlands and Breakpoint were great games... ...after Ubi's corpos had sucked the mtx marrow from them and had gone off to hibernate. Seriously, wait to buy Ubi titles.
The Game is AWESOME!!!!! I love the new changes. It allows me to play and enjoy the game my way. With limited play time the new options allows me to enjoy the storytelling and have a stress release experience like nothing before. I would say Breakpoint is a better game now; by staying true to the tactical experience. I’m the Devs listened to us the gamers community. Great video and keep up the awesome work.👍
Why no one is talking about road guides! In wildland every time you choose a location it shows you the road to that location, in breakpoint it doesnt, and thats so annoying, it’s forcing me to drive around for hours to find the right road that leads to that location!.
I had no idea this game was so dynamic. I had no idea that I could play this game solo. I bought the base game today, but will wait for a sale to likely buy ALL of the DLC available. Thanks for the vid.
The overhaul this game needs is one where they include AI partners, linearity and less fluff. I miss the straight edge milsim/gunporn this franchise used to be. It's been losing its heart over the past few years, as most Ubisoft games do when they inevitably milk it for their worth. Ubisoft franchises usually start of really strong--But lose touch with their core over the span of their life. Effectively ending it untimely. Far Cry is a recent example. It's just sad. So much resources, talent and potential wasted.
Aye, to each their own--For sure, I did not really like the AI squad much in wildlands either, but I think the only thing actually holding it back was the lack of individual character commands. The 3 AI were basically just 1 character. I am stoked to find out what they'll bring to Breakpoint though!
I’ll never understand how gameplay for breakpoint they make it look so easy but when I play I’m getting shot all tf over. And HAVENT reached certain DRONES and cut scenes. Wtf
This update brought me back after about 150 hours into the game. I really like the fact that I can tweak and make adjustments in immersive mode. Being able to disable the loot and levels is great. The new Deep State is better than I thought it would be. The new Echelon class is excellent. You feel like you are playing as a Splinter Cell agent. It's fantastic and I'm really enjoying it. It's awesome that they even added in the outfits and weapons too. All in all I have been really impressed with the new update and the new Deep State mission.
Immersive sounds really fun, I have wildlands and wanted breakpoint but played it awhile back before this was an option. Looks like I’ll get breakpoint. I love a challenge and all those ways to really customize the game is pretty cool
This immersive mode is a reason why I bought this game and encouraged my brother to do so. We okay coop in private sessions with highest immersion options with all possible restrictions. And we enjoy playing that a lot. Very lovely experience so far. 30 hours in less than a week have played. I honestly don’t like all these ranks kind of things, I hate that in Division series and don’t want to continue playing the Division after GR:B immersive mode
Having been burnt by the Prince of Persia event in For Honor, I thought the Splinter Cell stuff was just a way to milk wallets (it probably is to some extent), but this made me reconsider and buy the gold edition. The fact that the game actually has adapted Splinter Cell mechanics and not just uses it as set dressing is good in my book.
one of the best things in breakpoint, is the customization, literally in general, you can tweak the whole game to your liking, remove the loot grind system, turn the ai teamates on and off, increase the difficulty of survival elements, hud... etc. this game has so much options that it's a shame it didn't got regognized enough for it, 'cuz this is a great example of developpers listening to the community and creating something that literally everyone can play, where if we look back to the release date, a lot of people didn't like the game, 'cuz of those customization wheren't there, now i have friends that actually bought the game and are having a blast, specially wildlands fans like me! breakpoint might not be better than wildlands, but the fact that a lot of what people wanted has been implemented in the game, is amazing and again, i wish more people talked about that, i'ts funny and easy to judge a game when it's broken, but whenever it gets fixed, people don't show the same "excitment"
Game's supposed to be survival based and not so much coordinated spec ops missions but yeah, to answer your questions, AI teammates will most likely be added with the final expansion of the year called transcendence, since story wise the US is preparing to invade Auroa which hints at additional manpower and most likely AI teammates
I’m glad they actually added this. I’m sure that like a LOT of other people, the whole gear level just completely turned off a lot of people. And it’s got a huge sale right now, so I might very well actually get it now
@Eriko. Oy at least it's not as bad as in wildlands. you can use your drone as a bomb. Once you detonate it and kill and enemy NPC. They will know exactly where you are at controlling it and come for you LOL. In breakpoint I've noticed that if you use a gun with a silencer on it enemies don't automatically know where the shot is coming but not in wildlands they still know where it came from lol.
Even though this video was sponsored, you did not hesitate to point out the flaws, which I appreciate.
Even Ubisoft admits the flaws of Breakpoint (as the game receives awful sales and reception), so they made Immersive mode to compensate.

Tbe cars and choppers handle so much better than Wildlands wherein they would drift like ballerinas on ice

@@gninja92 they do handle better than in Wildlands, but it's still pretty bad.
@Detective Angor they need to fix a lot of stuff my man, hopefully the game will be worth playing in a year or less
I am quite happy that a lot of games are actually improving and correcting their flaws. That is a very good sign for the industry in my humble opinion.
Even tho i'm not a fan of the direction of this franchise, i like how much customization Ubisoft added to this game !

@@sh4f660 Haven't you watched the video? Everything gets explained in it. :-)
I play on xbox. Ive put about 20 hours into immersive mode on my new file. So far not a single bug. Super smooth and the overall game feels right now.
"This video is brought to you by Ubisoft"
Ooooooh boy.
Indeed it is. But thankfully they let me freely talk about what I felt about the update. I've been waiting for this overhaul for a while.. didn't even bother with a final review last year for Breakpoint. but now that the game has immersive mode, I'm enjoying it a lot more. Tyler Brock and adding it to steam
As someone who hugely disliked the direction they took with breakpoint, this update is a welcome one from ubi. The fact there are so much customisable options is really awesome and something more games should do.
Hopefully the next GR leans towards tactical realism and stays far away from any form of loot / tiers.
Appreciate the mind-blowing efforts in the videos since the last week.
As long as game devs give us the options to turn of HUD elements then both kinds of gamer can be happy :)
Great video btw, nice commentary over calm background music instead of the super loud dubstep and 10 hour intros I see on the other vids lol.
In closing I'd love for this game to get a re review as I believe the work here needs to be acknowledged
Awesome vid got ya self a new sub . Keep it up

Can they stop with the Sam Fisher references and just announce the next Splinter Cell game please? I’ve been playing Blacklist again and I can’t wait much longer.

With terrible enemy AI, laughable animation and terrible gunplay. Games are supposed to get better, Ghost Recon is regressing.
@Nick930
Things I want in the next Splinter Cell Game:
-Great Plot / Story in an immersive open world environment that works for the game and its mechanics that strengthens gameplay.
-Gaining all the strengths in game mechanics from Splinter Cell Pandora's Tomorrow and Chaos Theory including adding some new ones from other games like:
* Choice base sequence mechanics that can change the outcome of the story (Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, Double Agent)
*Abilities to improve the flow of movement (Pandora's Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, Batman Arkham Knight, Assassin's Creed Unity) as well as movement that compliments the environments that sam's in as well as sam himself (Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Pandora Tomorrow)
*Improved more complex Lighting and Shadow Bar and sound indicator, as well as Enemy A.I. field of awareness (MGS:V TPP, Chaos Theory)
*Improved and adjusted goggles vision for EMF, Thermal, and Night Vision (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Batman Arkham Knight)
*An Assistance Mode for new players that need help with controls or guidance during gameplay to make it enjoyable for them AND an immersive mode that gives you a more realistic approach with no HUD or A.I. assistance for more hardcore or veteran players.
*An extensive customizable option for weapons and gear to have whatever kind of approach you'd like to have in game for a mission when available to you (This is not to say we want it available all the time like in SC Conviction but more like a items OSP or limited item drop mechanic like in MGS:V TPP. (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, Rainbow Six Seige, MGS:V TPP)
*An Arcade mode that allows you to do time trials or have a point system depending on your approach of the mission and how well you execute as well as leaderboards to be competitive against other players AND a survival mode that limits ammo and equipment and enhances A.I. to actually plan your approach better as well as puts you in adrenaline quick decision making situations when conducting a mission. (Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019, Halo Master Chief Collection, Ghost Recon Breakpoint)
*An Option for FPS view on any weapon for more accurate precision shots or even a more immersive look on the world/ environment around you (MGS:V TPP, Ghost Recon BreakPoint, MGS 2/3)
*An Option for more immersive gameplay mechanics like Third/ first person lean mechanics for shooting behind cover or blind fire or cover/uncover around the corner fire, hanging from a pipe or ledge or upside down fire, or different approaches to door breaching, or different approaches to using tools or gadgets for hacking devices, lockpicking doors, pickpocketing enemies, etc. (Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell Double Agent, MGS:V TPP, Rainbow Six Seige, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019.)
*An Option for more immersive CQC combat for when taking down an enemy quietly or subduing them to question them, use them as a shield, search them for ammo, equipment etc. (MGS:V TPP, MGS4)
*Better uses for equipment like laser sights and Flicker lights on flash lights. (MGS:V TPP, MGS4)
-A Return and improved version of Spies vs Mercs in Local Multiplayer and Online Mode.
-A Return of Co-op mode with cunning new ways to play and approach missions.
-More immersive A.I. interaction with other enemy A.I. conversating with eachother or working together more efficiently to find the player or take on the player during gameplay. (Batman Arkham Knight)
-Multiple ways to engage a level from different directions and pre-requistes to keep it fresh and interesting (Hitman 2016, Hitman 2 2018, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, MGS:V TPP, Assassins Creed Unity, Ghost Recon Breakpoint)
-New music by Amon Tobin or Flying Lotus.
You know instead of wasting your time typing it out and posting it here you could have sent those to Ubisoft...

8:25 "felt more like a new splinter cell game than Blacklist"
That's a bit of a reach. The AI GRB is still as dumb as ever and the stealth is still just as bland as ever. No amount of dressing up in a SC outfit and skulking around in the dark will change that. The melee takedowns are still just as excruciatingly slow as before and your movement options are the same (no hanging off ledges, no context takedowns etc.)
If you already prioritize the stealth approach this DLC won't change anything in terms of gameplay except maybe the AOE stun gun. The sonar is pretty much just a sniper detection "nade" launcher.
And the writing is just as lacking as the rest of GRB's writing. Even Ironside sounds robotic.
On a positive note the music brings back good memories and the immersive mode feels like a step in the right direction.
Blacklist is way better than this
it's obviously not a splinter cell game.
Great, its a step in the right direction. Another update to make this game offline and I can give it a chance.

I’m actually in shock, Ubisoft just fixed a game without breaking it even more. Is this even real life?
Here’s my suspicion. They had all of this finished and ready to go. They decided to release the game only with leveled loot so the die hards would buy them then after they get obvious back lash they “listen to the fans” and then release the complete game.
They knew what fans wanted from the get go, but they still wanted to cash grab.
This video got me back in....that was one reason why I always bought both the division and this...for the difference...great content bro
I enjoy both elements, gear score and realistic.
Gear score pushed me to try new guns that I’d have otherwise avoided, realistic? Well,it’s on the label 👍🏻
It seems to have everything now! I just bought it and it’s a riot. Loving it
I don’t have this game but these changes are much welcomed I think it adds the fun back in I really enjoyed the game before this one and I was hesitant on the new one.
It’s funny because for no reason I was like ima give this game another chance n I was pleased with this today...
Instead it depended heavily on my gameplay skills.. and that's what makes a game amazing in my opinion, and that's why I consider mgsv a masterpiece
this was such a well put together and informative video i thought it was done by ubisoft themself! great job!

Have one question how do you get metal parts in Immersive mode?
I found them inside crates around the island.
Destroy drones
Questions:
1) If you have duplicate weapons and gear in regular mode and switch to immersive and then back, do you lose those extra weapons?
2) If you don't get additional weapons, how do you get enough parts to upgrade?
3) How are different difficulty-rated areas handled without a gear score?
4) Doesn't this make immersive weapons more powerful in the early game?

Apparently a exec at Ubisoft thought since the Division and Assassin's Creed sold pretty well with the new systems that GR would too.
Problem is, those systems were advertised up front. Breakpoint was touted to be what Immersive Mode is without a single mention of gear score, and now look.
Ubisoft, at least, can learn from their mistakes. Activision and EA...not so much.

OneDude94 I disagree I hated the Ai on wildlands always got in the way I like to lone wolf 🐺 it on extreme

Aye, to each their own--For sure, I did not really like the AI squad much in wildlands either, but I think the only thing actually holding it back was the lack of individual character commands. The 3 AI were basically just 1 character. I am stoked to find out what they'll bring to Breakpoint though!
I took advantage of the trial, loved it, bought it. I play immersive with gear score enabled, and tweak for a bit of a challenge.
I’ll never understand how gameplay for breakpoint they make it look so easy but when I play I’m getting shot all tf over. And HAVENT reached certain DRONES and cut scenes. Wtf
Really enjoyed this video. Made me excited about diving back into breakpoint. Earned a sub mate
Definitely a way better game now than it was before.
THIS whas the video i was looking for. Thanks!
I love how you started playing the Chaos theory sound track when you start talking about deep state.
The chaos theory soundtrack plays during the deep state missions
They have to add a long reload option to hold onto ammo. Probably just double tap x or something
It sucks if you have a lmg or something
Having been burnt by the Prince of Persia event in For Honor, I thought the Splinter Cell stuff was just a way to milk wallets (it probably is to some extent), but this made me reconsider and buy the gold edition. The fact that the game actually has adapted Splinter Cell mechanics and not just uses it as set dressing is good in my book.
I'm loving these changes, this is great progress. Still waiting for offline and AI teammates though but I LOVE what I'm seeing here
Latest update just added AI teammates. Finally I got the game I wanted. I finally can start installing and playing the game now.
I'm just thankful for the damn geared score level removal .. why install it in the first place
because people including me like it... it's not that hard to see that
I always give it a shot on not guided but after i miss a couple guesses, i just turn guided on then off. Very nice feature.
Pretty nice overview of the new content, good job.
one of the best things in breakpoint, is the customization,
literally in general, you can tweak the whole game to your liking,
remove the loot grind system, turn the ai teamates on and off,
increase the difficulty of survival elements, hud... etc.
this game has so much options that it's a shame it didn't got
regognized enough for it, 'cuz this is a great example of developpers
listening to the community and creating something that literally everyone can play,
where if we look back to the release date, a lot of people didn't like the game,
'cuz of those customization wheren't there, now i have friends that actually bought the game
and are having a blast, specially wildlands fans like me!
breakpoint might not be better than wildlands, but the fact that a lot of what people wanted
has been implemented in the game, is amazing and again, i wish more people talked about that,
i'ts funny and easy to judge a game when it's broken, but whenever it gets fixed, people don't
show the same "excitment"
Where’s the ai teammates I’m not playing it again until they’re added in.
i dont think you understand the plot of the game bucko
Game's supposed to be survival based and not so much coordinated spec ops missions but yeah, to answer your questions, AI teammates will most likely be added with the final expansion of the year called transcendence, since story wise the US is preparing to invade Auroa which hints at additional manpower and most likely AI teammates
It's going to be added in the future
I left the division because it was full of lag switchers. This has been my go to. I really enjoy this game.
Breakpoint is pretty damn good now.
Played the free weekend and loved it. Bought two copies. One for me and one for my uncle and now we coop the game together.
My character in this game be looking hella fly though 🔥
Flick there is like no customization in breakpoint I don’t even think there is 100 things unlike wildlands who had over hundreds and a lot were free
I’m glad they actually added this. I’m sure that like a LOT of other people, the whole gear level just completely turned off a lot of people. And it’s got a huge sale right now, so I might very well actually get it now
"Smarter Enemies" means that the enemies to not obey the same rules as the player.
