Something I loved is how they put us in the perspective of Steven throughout the entire episode. Because Marc is the main host body, and the one who was resurrected by Khonshu, it puts us the viewer in Steven’s shoes as if we’re experiencing his mental troubles and questioning of reality with him. Very genius imo. And I’m sure we’ll get to see Marc’s comic origin and becoming MK (or a version of it) through flashbacks. As someone who’s been a fan of Moon Knight for years, I was incredibly happy with how this first episode was, and love that they saved the suit reveal towards the end. Honestly gets a 10/10 from me
Do you think eventually they’ll get rid of Steven all together and bring Marc in as the main guy? It’s annoying seeing Steven play in this show because he’s so incompetent I hope Marc takes over next episode and runs the series.

I like how they started with Steven vs Marc, who is the main personality. Also seems they did a switch from the comics in how Steven was a playboy rich guy I believe. Best first episode of all then so far!
Great reaction! I love seeing people who don’t know the character getting introduced to maybe the best version of him. This handles his condition much better than I’ve ever seen.
when you have D.I.D 1 of your identities takes over and the others become dormant and whenever the other ones takes over whatever the identity who was in control has done feels like dreams instead of memories
it is not called Split personality or multiplier Personality disorder any more it is now called Dissociative Identity Disorder or D.I.D. and it is when a person, most likely a kid goes through repeated trauma and the mind can't handle it anymore so the brain creates an alter to protect itself from harm. and that alter is know as a protector. But, the alters do have real memories and they are also real people. This was a good way of showing how involuntary alter changes are. For what I know about DiD, you can really lose days even when one of you alters decides to front. Seems Steven is a fairly new-ish alter so whatever happened to Marc to make Steven take over for so long must’ve pretty large trauma (which alters are born/created which is through Massive trauma). I appreciate the fact they (the host and alters) Haven’t made an “Evil” alter yet. Again DiD is about managing trauma not causing it. Yes, some alters (known as Protecters) can be rougher on the outside ( aka in front while the host is in the mind). But, never straight-up causing problems on purpose only to protect the host and the other alters. And Marc is the host as for Steven he is the one who is the most out aka in front so he can have some social life.
I’d say Marc Spector’s trauma was dying and getting revived. And he never had an evil personality in the comics. Marc is the original, then there’s Steven Grant and Jake Lockley

Loki was my favourite Marvel show but after this first ep, im pretty sure Moon Knight will overtake that. Love that Steven is the main character we start off with, you really get to empathize with his sad, lonely life, and how much of an opposite he is with Marc. The voice, which im pretty sure was Khonshu, was actually hilarious, "The idiot is in control", "Leave us be parasite!", "Truck stupid!!" lol. I dont know how Im going to wait 6 more days for the next ep. Btw, are you guys going to react to Halo? Pretty good show, I think it would make for a great reaction
Okay, something I just noticed. Steven has two phones on him after his "date". He calls the lady he had a date with on a smart phone then when he is talking to his mom he has an old flip phone! HMMMMMMM.
just so you know , marc spector is the main personality. steven grant and jake Lockley are his other identities . marc has dissociative identity disorder which was considered schizophrenia. marc is the avatar for moon knight which is the moon's knight .
I think they are taking the story from the more recent comic book story 2000s..🤔🤔 which delves into marc being basically insane. which is different from the 80s character. I think.

ik its only the first Episode of the show but Steven is one of the 3 persona's. The core persona being Marc not Steven (hence why all throughout the episode you kept seeing three of him in mirrors and stuff) and that creepy "mummy" lol is khonsu a ancient Egyptian god of the Moon. His name means "traveller", and this may relate to the perceived nightly travel of the Moon across the sky. Along with Thoth he marked the passage of time. he Brought Marc (who was a boxer became a marine than a CIA mercenary) back from the dead twice actually and gave him powers then later becoming moon knight Khonsu Avatar. in a way Khonsu lives through Moon Knight and Marc so that Voice is Khonsu Telling Steven the "idiot" persona to give full control to Marc
"I thought he was doing that for somebody he hated." I think this is actually correct. My thoughts after seeing Ethan Hawk's character throughout the episode, is that he's being forced to pass judgement on all of these people by Ammit. He talks about avatars at the end, and it does feel like he's her avatar here on earth. He also talked about hearing voices and them never being satisfied, which sounds like he's not happy with his situation. If you look back at the scene where Ethan Hawk's character was judging the first guy, he's almost crying as he smiles and says "this is the face of a good man!" I think he really doesn't want to be killing people and was genuinely relieved to not have to. So I think he hates himself for going through with all of this and that's why he punishes himself with the broken glass. Admittedly, it's a bit harder to fit the scene of him killing the old lady without much trouble into this theory....
I don’t think this is right at all, particularly with what’s revealed in episode 2 but even with the way he speaks about Amit in this one. It’s also pretty clear to me that the glass is more flagellation for the sake of religious devotion than punishment.

Moon Knight was a member of Hawkeye's West Coast Avengers in the comics. It made me think about the MCU series rollouts. Wanda (who Hawkeye inspired to become an Avenger in Avengers Age of Ultron) and Vision were members of the West Coast Avengers, as was Wonder Man and his brother's helmet was depicted in WandaVision. US Agent (the replacement for Captain America from Falcon and the Winter Soldier) was a member of the West Coast Avengers. Kate Bishop (who was trained by Hawkeye) was a member of the West Coast Avengers. Hawkeye's wife was also a member of the West Coast Avengers going by the name of Mockingbird and if you watched the movie Avengers Age of Ultron you would have seen her symbol on a watch. A series called Armor Wars is coming up and War Machine (Rhodie) the principal character was also a member of the West Coast Avengers. It could just be a coincidence of course. Just something to think about.
All you guys need to know is Moon Knight is Marvel's Batman but gone crazy. Been hungry for that show when I first heard of him. Thank the Lord we got this show💙🌙

Moon Knight, while admittedly, has a silly name his character is very underrated. I am very happy with how they're handling this. This episode was an awesome introduction.
@@2droidz12 it’s a matter of how often people have heard it. Think about refrigerator- it’s a pretty goofy word. Or Television, basically the only popular word in English that mixes greek and latin stems, which normally sounds dumb. Compared to Super Man or Wonder Woman, or Iron Man or Captain America - moon knight sounds much cooler.
I mean most mcu project have been going thru reshoots, doctor strange, she-hulk, ms marvel, and thor love and thunder. I think it would only be bad if it keeps getting delayed like morbius which I heard isn't really good.

I believe this Steven Grant could be a coping alter for Mark not being able to have a "normal" life himself. But for me that's just a thought.
