Around 4 years passed, we have one such Solar Panels installed over Sidhwan Canal in Ludhiana (Punjab).

Dear, solar panels has life of 25 years after that we have recycle it.
This also a big issues as we didn't consider while manufacturing panels.
I'm in 10 th but still watch because it's so fun

The weeds or wild grass grown in the canals which effect the flow of water in the canal will decrease by 75% in my opinion when wild grass will not get sunlight
Firstly it is started in gujarat then other state copyied it. During narendra modi was CM of Gujarat.

Sir one more disadvantage as i personally suggest is , bad effect on aquatic life because they would not get sun light enough.....
If we also started those project on railway wagon top roofs, it will also save land and generate lot of electricity⚡.

Great effort towards atmanirbhar bharat.
Structure can be considered by bamboo. Bamboosa Tulda.. it has same life as solar panel of 25 years
In off shore states same thing can be implemented on state and national highways.
1.Deteriorating effect of direct sunlight and seasonal rainfall will get reduced
2. Added shade will leads to a little, less consumption of fuel during air conditioning.
3.From.engineering point also. Easy to implement than canal top implementation
But before thinking about any such ideas. Govt should focus on developing semiconductor industry. Then only these projects and ideas will be fruitful for our County and economy.

sir ek major disadvantage bhi rah jayega... itne sare solar panels ka certain use karne k bad jab vo expire ho jayega tab uske solar waste debris badh jayega jese ki abhi electronics debris ka koi permanent solutions nahi he vo recycle hota hai par limitations me .... usase environment pe bura asar padta rahega.... baki in terms of energy its the best way to produce renewable energy from solar.
