Are you excited to see the 6G run?
No
Ill be astounded.
That makes 2 of us!
Sure am! I have one, it's too small for my NP, but it'll sing in the Datto.
Nothing that a turbo won't fix in your NP!
Truly a different build. That auto is some serious voodoo
Thanks mate! Always fun doing something a bit different 😁
Definitely far from straight forward with that auto lol
When this 12s for 2k started I was stoked to see budget innovation. I knew that there was going to be every model ford 6 with a china turbo but can believe im excited to watch the 2 teams with Mitsubishi v6. Great work keep it up thanks for the entertainment
Haha thanks mate! We had to add a little variety to the sea of falcons 🤣
That front cross brace came out way easier than it went back in!
100% mate!
@@house-ofhoon about half way through, great episode!
Much appreciated! A lot of work went into it all
@@house-ofhoon That Notcher kicks arse!
Definitely comes in handy!
Awesome build mate, Mitsubishi’s legendary 6G is a ballsy motor, will make the Datto hammer!
Much appreciated mate! We've got our fingers crossed that it will hold together with all the boost 🤞
Look forward to watching!
Great job coming along nicely .
Thanks mate! She's getting there!
Farking awesome guys.
Cheers mate! Trying to do awesome things 😁
@@house-ofhoon some of that fab work is very imaginative, i love it.
It's awesome having creative freedom with this build 😁
Another good episode team. Hope ya have it sorted in time, you HARDASSES.
Much appreciated mate!
looking good, its going to be right down to the wire to get her done eh? Heres a little story for you, I was once using leather gloves, like you, on my drill press, without thinking I went to brush some swarf away with my left hand but I misjudged how high id got the drill out of the way. My glove touched the flute on the drill and it caught my first finger on the left hand ripping it off. I had to take the drill out of the chuck and cut away the glove to hold onto my finger. Then ring the ambo. I did this at 2.30 in the avo when I was supposed to do the school pick up. Good times.
Cheers mate! Yea time and us are not currently friends lol.
That's a worrying story that has always worried me! I've also had gloves save my hands in the past.
I think the safest option is to just get the holes laser cut 🤣
@@house-ofhoon Yea, gloves are a must on just about everything else in the shed for sure. I had the finger reattached and it works ok. Cheers from NZ,Phil.
Glad to hear it's working fine 🙂
This really is turning out well..should rego it do drag n drive event.
Thanks mate! That certainly is a possibility!
Building to a deadline is always a challenge
Your doing well
Cheers mate! Yep that's definitely the biggest challenge!
Hope you guys get it done in time!
Appreciate it mate!
Always a good video when theres 6G content coming out. Really impressed with your subs and views mate! Would love to maybe go a collab / challenge against you with the triton vs the datto?!?! Would you be keen ?!!?
Thanks mate!
That sounds like great fun! Definitely keen for that!
@house-ofhoon done. Hahaha keen to see how ya build goes
I’m digging the transmission idea , hope it works because I’m keen to build a rear wheel drive auto Magna one day for skids .
Well done , keep up the good work
Thanks mate! Rwd Magna would be awesome!
It seems to work so far. Will find out for sure once it's driving though
@ hell yeah 👌🏽
Bend the drag link
Whilst possible, it would still have caused issues. We contemplated cutting and welding it. However, that's a little too dodgy for our liking
Great build... perfect shitbox parts bin bitsa.
Are the mounts printed with PLA? Might not be the best choice long term as it starts to soften at 60 degrees. TPU or PETG would take a bit more temperature and are fairly easy to print. Ideally nylon would probably be the best option if you can print it successfully
Cheers mate! It's fun bitsing everything together 😁
They are printed in TPU mate 👍 they should last a fair while since it won't be getting driven much
I've been watching this build and very interested to see how its going to proform because i have a 3.8 Pajero motor in a 2x4 5speed Triton , I'm seriously thinking of putting the v6 engine and box i have into a FC Holden Ute just to be different
We are fairly confident that it will perform very well 😁
The V6 in a FC would be pretty sick!
@@house-ofhoon yer I hope so the 3.8 in the 2x4 Triton go's sick it's quicker than my vx LS1 and the old fc ute is lite as fuck and I see you can turbo them easily I'm just waiting to find a hr cross member for cheap before I modify the steering to a rack to fit the engine and put some brakes that stop , I don't think the old king pin frunt end will handle the power
Can you explain the specifics of that transmission internals swap?
Not much to tell really. We needed the bellhousing off the terracan, and a rwd case.
The rwd case we got was from a hiace, and it was shagged. The terracan auto was mint, so we just swapped everything that is removable out of the terracan box, into the hiace case. The terracan bellhousing bolted straight on, and we used a torque converter from a 1GGTE toyota cresta to hopefully raise the stall speed. That necessitated spacing the converter back 10mm, and redrilling the flex plate (dont do it the way we did it haha)
We didnt realise until we had both boxes that the input shaft lengths were the same!
So the auto is an a340?
Basically, yes
The worst weld vertical down. Why not cut the inner guards out
There's nothing wrong with a vertical down so long as it's used in the correct situation.
There's no need to cut the inner guards out
You guys gonna make it?
The datto will be at HPR one way or another!!!
@ sorry Scotty, but I reckon the House of Hoon guys are gonna chop ya
