I want to like Sakura since she's pretty much the main female character, but it's hard to like a character who repeatedly puts down and punches someone who's never anything but nice to her.
If it makes you feel any better, in the manga over the of course of 667 chapters, Sakura has only hit him 7 times and the majority of those times were when he was attempting to do sexy jutsu. The majority of the times she hits him in the anime are filler. That and right now, Sakura is one of only two people who are keeping Naruto alive right now in the manga. W/o Sakura, Naruto would be dead right now.
It does in a sense I guess. I haven't really gone near Naruto's media all that much recently so to be honest I'm a little uniformed. When I have though it just always seemed to me like Sakura treated Naruto worse than he's deserved (as well as silly things like breaking up a friendship for a boy... and having being obsessed with said boy as her only characteristic for the earlier part of the series) and it's tough to find her likeable because of it, which is shit because like I said, I want to like her. She's a bit more active now at least I guess. I feel like I could've phrased this better but I've just come home from having about 9 cocktails and I'm baffled that most of this is spelled correctly.
I wouldn't say that Naruto hasn't done anything bad to Sakura though. Most of his mistakes towards her are him not telling her things and not understanding her feelings. All the punching though is just to be funny. Sakura and Naruto are set up to be the boke and tsukkomi of a hard manzai routine. It can be a bit jarring if your not used to japanese comedy. It's really just a form of slapstick that kishi is fond of.

Ya know guys, as long as i have been watching Naruto, i've always been a NaruSaku fan. Not because of Sakura's apparent NON existent romantic feelings for Naruto, but because of his undying true love and care for her. I always felt deep inside her heart that she always loved him that way, but was always sidetracked by her obsession of Sasuke. I would be on board with the whole "NaruHina" pairing in the last movie, if it didn't feel rushed and Naruto never had such an undying true love for Sakura. So much that he would practically deliver her to Sasuke's doorstep if Sasuke was interested, and walk away with despair. Never to bother with her intentions again. That's how much he loved her. He'd take a bullet for her and gladly die for her so that she could be with Sasuke. He'd guard Sakura and Sasuke's children with his life, REGARDLESS of how he feels. He would devote his life to her. It's this kind of modesty and devotion that Sakura needs, but doesn't want. I know my fellow NaruSaku fans are in an uproar about kishimoto's failure of a movie titled, "Boruto", but let's face facts. Next, she's extremely grateful to Naruto, Tsunade, Kakashi, Ino and others, so don't say she's ungrateful because that's a lie. Ya know guys, as long as i have been watching Naruto, i've always been a NaruSaku fan. Not because of Sakura's apparent NON existent romantic feelings for Naruto, but because of his undying true love and care for her. I always felt deep inside her heart that she always loved him that way, but was always sidetracked by her obsession of Sasuke. I would be on board with the whole "NaruHina" pairing in the last movie, if it didn't feel rushed and Naruto never had such an undying true love for Sakura. So much that he would practically deliver her to Sasuke's doorstep if Sasuke was interested, and walk away with despair. Never to bother with her intentions again. That's how much he loved her. He'd take a bullet for her and gladly die for her so that she could be with Sasuke. He'd guard Sakura and Sasuke's children with his life, REGARDLESS of how he feels. He would devote his life to her. It's this kind of modesty and devotion that Sakura needs, but doesn't want. I know my fellow NaruSaku fans are in an uproar about kishimoto's failure of a movie titled, "Boruto", but let's face facts. The anime didn't rectify anything, it followed suit and is already fucked up. THere's nothing we could do about it.I know how you feel. I feel the same way. Let's just leave it be.
