Today I played Star Stable Online and talked about why you miss old star stable. I came up with nearly ten reasons why you miss old sso. We didn't grow up- this game DID change, and here is what changed to make you feel so different and miss the old game.

I feel like everything was so much cooler back then. So much more original. And in my opinion the whole game back then was a work of art. It could make you feel exited to play and you would get really invested in the storyline. The whole saying that "You matured and that's why you don't like the game anymore" is complete bullshit. No other game was like old star stable. Now it just feels lifeless and boring. The company doesn't even care anymore about the game and it's really frustrating to see as an old player. I get really passionate when I talk about this game and it's progression so I could talk for hours about it lmao. Love your videos btw they're very straight to the point and focus on important topics
The fact the game used to have a soul, that it was unique and manage to feel like a home. Now it's a bunch of trends for little girly girls without any personality. People like to say that Pinterest isn't a personality but SSO should realize that twitter or tumblr isn't one either.
I still play sso tbh, I only ride the older horses for the memories
And I know you miss the game but it doesn’t give you an excuse to call the whole community “little girly girls without any personality” that is an insult, its not any way to address a whole community that you used to be in, those kids playing now feels the same happiness you did back in 2014… 🫤
The old Star Stable had a very unique aesthetic, you literally couldn't find a game like SSO because of how unique and interesting it felt. This new Star Stable has a aesthetic that is not unique, everything is cute and minimalistic, even the villains are cute, the horses are realistic but they feel lifeless. It's not just nostalgia, old SSO was unique and no one can deny it!

I have been playing for a bit more than 6 years :D but seriously, i can't listen to old sso music ( like the old silverglade music för example ) because it makes me think about the old times of star stable, and i almost start to cry since i'm quite sentimental lol. Btw i'm Swedish, so i have actually been at sso's office :)

I refuse to believe I just “grew out” of a game that held me when I needed it the most..
It is so upsetting to see how they remove all the features that made it the game us old players know it as. I think the only good thing that has happened is the photo mode but besides that… They are removing all the special things about sso i wanna cry
Personally, I feel like, during the old star stable days, the players were heard more and star stable cared a lot less about money. Each horse seemed completely unique and not like a cheap knockoff. Some examples: the Andalusian and knabstrupper, or the ponies getting the same gates, etc. I feel like star stable used to give us quests instead of horses to keep the players happy and give them a connection to the game but then now they only ever release new horses, and if I'm being honest the more horses I see released, the more I feel like they seem lazily made. I definitely miss the community that we had, and how the star stables team seemed much more connected with the players. I mean because of how sso now is, I feel like I can't even log on anymore.
Or how they keep updating areas or adding new ones. I personally find the new areas pretty but they aren't fun exploring since they don't have hidden locations that are hard to find or buggy locations where we can "accidentally" see something we shouldn't. Before some of the map locations were updated, there were locations only a select few older players could get to.

I would consider myself a veteran (it will be a decade this year), even if i stopped playing the game in 2019/20. So i can pretty much say that, all the magic this game had for me is gone. From the charming old graphics, to naming my friesian horse Supernova. (which was a BIG thing to do back then)
I may be one of the lucky few who still remember the rare seal island. It was (i think?) a yearly thing where a big iceberg was in the forgotten fields for one week only. I used to roleplay in there with my old friends and possibly the old fjords/swedish horses. It was a neat. Another feature was the horse island, which kept your horses at the yellow/green mood, depending if you payed with sc or shillings. It was a game breaking (in a good way) update, where the horse cap went from 10 to infinite. It made everyone super happy, because you didnt have to prioritize horses anymore.
I wish i had any positive feelings towards the game, besides pretty horses and environment, but everything i loved is pretty much gone.
YES!! I remember when I begged my mom for star coins so i could buy the old friesian horse and name it Supermova. I even listened to this one song called Supernova when buying that horse

I think I mainly miss the uniqueness of old starstable, The Style, the story, the world.
Starstable changed their style to a more “clay” like vibe, like sims 4/fortnite. It feels plain and just boring.
There is also less flora around jorvik, less trees, less grass, shrubs, ect.
Everything feels really empty and hollow, Theres almost too much plain open space being wasted, Its not pretty to look at. Even with the highest graphical setting somethings just dont look good and the render distance is so low that alot of the environment looks like a potato.
yeah, the game was better. the content was more simple, but there was a lot of it. we always had some sort of fun event going on or upcoming. i’m really upset with this 4 events a year thing they’re planning on doing. i liked the equestrian festival this year, but i wish something like that would go on constantly or come every few weeks. it’s not special enough to be once a year type of deal, yet it’s fun enough to keep us logging in.
that's exactly how i feel, i basically only play when there's an event (or the rare occasion that we get a quest) and now they're telling me i'm only gonna have reason to play this 4 times a YEAR? and yeah you're definitely right about the equestrian festival, it's been pretty fun but there's not really anything that special about it, and i'm honestly not even blaming the sso team because i think it's actually pretty difficult to make a "main activity" with an event as big as this. it's just loose ties.
i mean sure the grind of getting enough tokens to get the outfits could be seen as the main activity but come on, there's three to get and they're not really THAT special plus not all even give max stats
I hate what star stable has become. What used to be a space that felt like a second home has become a kindergarten cash grab game. It is so sad
The company back in before 2018 really still had their love on the game itself, not only the potential revenue it could bring. The game's environment nowadays with the updated graphics feels bland and the gameplay itself feels too easy (you don't have to wait for the bus, you can't even hurt your horse to the point so it has to return to the stable, the horse hasn't got any endurance). With the gameplay and the environment not sparking the excitement anymore, the quests would be the only thing that could - but without a dedicated quest team they haven't had (ok now it is back which is great), it feels like SSO doesn't know how the universe, the lore and the characters work anymore, and that is saying something. And with the game is so broken with many bugs and glitches not everything is even playable anymore, honestly what is left? The only thing keeping the game up is the updates, but they are mostly really dull and empty up to the point that they shouldn't even be updating the game every week, they would have more time to prepare stuff if they didn't. It is upsetting that they don't listen to the actual players of the game anymore who just love the game and want to see it develop and I would do anything to go back to the time where the game still had it's magic.
Back then everyone was so happy and it was so much more fun to play. Now, it just seems strange and different. I miss old sso.
I have been playing for 9 years and I totally agree with you. Though I find the game more visually appealing, I can't help but miss the old graphics. Also, I stopped playing for around a year in 2018-ish, and I was so incredibly confused (and still is lol) with the new main story line. It's all over the place and they have removed everything that I liked about the old main story line; its simplicity and mystique. I honestly have no idea what is going in on the story anymore tbh.
I also agree with you on the other points, especially that they simplified so much! The trailers, the bus, the amount of time it takes to complete the bridge to Harvest Counties (which took me around a week when I started playing!) and the time it takes to complete the Pandoric cracks. So much of the challenging aspect of the game is gone! :(
I really hope they can start listening to old players more and create content for us too.
Wait, they changed the amount of time it takes to make the bridge and cracks? I spent forever on those! 😭
@@everenrae9005 yes they did😭😭 it took me over a week to complete the bridge in 2013, but now it only takes like 1-3 days. And the pandoric cracks look completely different and takes a short time to complete, I literally spent months on them!
The thing that i liked in the past sso was that people from Jorvik knew that something magical was going on in the island but didn't know about actual MAGIC. NOW EVERYBODY IN JORVIK IS A DRUID -.-
"They want their game to reflect that of a kid's game"
....So why did they allow swearing in one if their more recent quests with the soul riding with Rhinannon storyline? Not to mention the "stallion stones" reference. Also, if they allowed that for whatever weird reason because "the soul riders storyline was meant for the older veteran players to enjoy", then why the chat filter? They make these claims that barely hold any steadiness because they change their minds on a whim. GG, SSO
star stable lacks a lot of consistentcy i dont think they know their own game- their own site says the game can be for 8 yr olds so idk what they think they are doing

for thos of you older players there something i think you will like! you know that little cliff in front of the riding hall? with the campfire? ( on the road to the riding hall you should see it) if you walk along there a tiny bit of land (right at the back of the campfire) that has the old style! it may be small, but the grass and rock is just like before :)
1:52 and I’m already crying irl… these videos literally break a chunk of my heart bc I’ll never get to know what the old SSO was like. Ever. Except when going back and playing the seasonal riders, which isn’t even close to cannon. I’m just so sad now… Fr. I don’t think I’ll manage to make it all the way through without seriously quitting SSO right this second.

this breaks my heart too. i definitely was lucky enough to be there during the early years of sso but it was a long time ago and there's a LOT of quests to remember, so i've always been happy to know i have an extra account (even though i only use it when we get free star rider lol) to relive it all with, but apparently it's all gone...
What I really REALLY miss is the old music. I have been playing this game since I was 5 (so for about 10 years) and star stable is the main reason why my music taste is what it is (folk and metal, sso isnt too responsible for the metal part but very for the folk part) I used to feel with the music, I used to feel sad when I was at silverglade manor because the music sounded sad, I used to be incredibly happy in the dino valley because it really felt like it was cold and I was exploring (I also got lost every time I was there and my brother had to come rescue me and my horse) much of the music was removed or changed and I notice that the music sometimes doesnt even change when you leave a place to go to a new one, I had valedale music in the dino valley before etc. Its making me sad and I'm sad theyll change all of the music. It feels like a different game and I cant see it the way I used to. It feels empty almost.
I listened to a track of the old sso music. I was hit with a blast of nostalgia and saddend when I remebered what the game is today. They never listened to us about sabine and it sucks. Shes so different from a high school bully.
One of the lot of things that bothers me the most is that they changed the og music while trainings…. For example at Steves farm. I was truly shocked when i first heard this weird 21century pop music kind of thing. I really miss the old sound effects and og strastable music :(
bruh i never knew that once they were all red that the horse would get sent back, i got nervous if all of the icons showed up so i'd go take care of that shit lmao
one time i was like angry because i hated having a starter horse, so i refused to care for it and instantly realized i had to care for him even if i didnt since he would go back home then xD also back in the day, i remember if you ran into the car (the purple one of course- or the tractor?) you would instantly be sent to the stable. and i was really annoyed when i found that out xD

I literally start to cry everytime I see all these old videos with those nostalgic graphics and soundtracks ;(( Its so sad how they ruined the game and honestly Im VERY jealous of all players who got to play in 2012-2017 (and maybe 2018? I dont remember). I remember playing in the end of 2017 when everything was starting to change, in the living room on my mums computer, good times :( Im really sad I didnt have a chance to play in 2014 and 2013 cus I think these was the best years. Dang, I want to be young again, I can even travell back in time, I just want to feel it again ;( Now everything is colorfull, boring and it doesnt give the nostalgic vibe of old times. Old graphics were just more realistic and they were giving unique vibe. Maybe I was 8 and I didnt understand a lot in this game but still it hurts so bad ;( I cant even count how many times Ive been writing a WHOLE BOOK to sso team about old graphics and why they should bring them back.
Horses point - Oh my god. I MISS THEM SO MUCH D: I remember when I cried a whole week when my starter got replaced with a new one. I had so many memories with that horse damn.. I logged to my very first account yesterday, I cant lie, I was crying for so long after this. I remember my first ,,free” star rider. I thought that Jarlaheim, and all those places became free. I was repairing the bridge a whole day, and I cried when I finally got to see Jarlaheim. Maybe I was just a kid and I dont remember everything, but It still hits so hard.
One thing I miss A LOT are the music videos players used to make… I tried searching for them but I can barely find any… I don’t even remember the names of the music videos..
I’d also like to add on that in the more recent quests, we don’t even have to dismount and drag items from our backpack. We just click it and boom quest over. It’s literally child’s play.
I personally like the old models better The old horses looked like they had a personality, even if they were more cartoonish.
I only buy older gen horses now because of that very fact of ‘personality’. They truly make me happy riding around Jorvik.
@@Noodlemonkey7 I usually buy the new ones since they look nicer, but a lot of times I ride my older ones around because they give me the feeling that I felt when I first got star rider.
I love the new breeds/models as well but I’m waiting for them to update the Mustang, which I am starting to doubt won’t ever happen 😅. Both old and new have their ups and downs tbh. But it’s just what makes you feel most comfortable playing.
@@Noodlemonkey7 Honestly I love the mustang. It's probably one of my favorite older gen horses, but I'm afraid they will ruin it like they ruined the new friesians.
As do I. I mean even looking at the gen two horses, you can tell they weren't supposed to be these super realistic depictions of a horse. The Friesian, for example. It looked sassy and preppy, and while it maybe didn't look like a real-life Friesian, it did a good job depicting one. Same goes for the other horses like the Shires, Morgans, Halflingers, etc.
My tenth is the community the sso community just got toxic shamed for having starter or old horse and not have the latest ones but old sso was so sweet supportive and kind I miss it so much💔
i really miss the old star stable news since it felt like a community there too! like they listened to us and wanted to talk to us. now i feel like its just different. i found out recently that star stable now has a different OWNER and CEO- so that could be why? but im not for certain
i was pretty young when i started playing in 2015. maybe it was because i was so young; but the game looked so magical. i remember the old, blurry graphics and the potato looking horses, but i loved it so much! clubs used to be so much fun, but now they're mostly based around dressage and are super competitive.
i remember getting upset when i couldn't log on, because the update wasn't online until 16.00 and i probably cried over that. the updates are mostly new horses and i understand that the quests take a long time, i just wish we had more to do. i even did all my reputation and i'm too lazy to train my horses.
i miss the old midsummer when it was in the everwind fields. i think that was my first event so thats probably why i used to love it so much. i also miss the old halloween, with the ghosts and the quest in golden hills (i think it was with a little girl and she turned to some kind of monster) and the sort of roller coaster in silverglade castle.
the game has lost its magic and spark, but i hope the kids that start playing now make the amazing memories we did.
also i replayed the game on a new account and i could've finished the game in under 2 months, i remember we had to build up reputation in the druid riding area to save lisa and we had to close way more portals. i only did one, skipped the druid riding area and got to save lisa when i leveled up. i was SO confused
i’ve played starstable since 2012. made my account at 6 years old and it’s still got my dads email connected to it.. i miss old sso so much. none of my old friends are ever online anymore. i recognize a lot of names on my friend list, but it always says they are online. there are also less players in general. the game feels deserted and lonely with no friends. i miss the snow, i miss the old horses and i miss the old quests. i’d give anything to go back and experience it again. it brought so much joy to my childhood, and it was the first thing i did after school or in the morning during weekends.
I really miss the horses color changing day, it was amazing, I always logged in when that day came✨
I remember old star stable this makes me feel nostalgic thank you I played for the storytelling and the events and the realism of the horses having a horse game to play was the next best thing I started in 2015 I’ve played for 8 years and still going but it’s hard I prefer the old star stable because they listen to the community

I miss all the challenges and festivals! I joined (got star rider) shortly after all this was taken away! I was SO SAD! I consider joining getting star rider cause most of the challenges were for star riders. I wish the horses still had the same needs

It used to be so fun doing all these new quests (Main quests,side quests etc.) But now all they do is just release new horses or either they upgrade the old horses (Like Modeling it differently). And also we did get a new quest (Today) but it was short so nothing rlly special. At this point its getting boring :( I also used to be excited when I unlocked all these new places on the jorvik map..I still remember the joy I was having^^
I started crying in the middle of the video because there are so many memories coming and old sso looked way more exciting. My cousin got my playing sso and we always use to play together and it was so much fun i miss those times she doesnt even play sso anymore but i miss playing with her so much and i miss old sso. 😕😭
I wish there was a way to go back to certain updates like with minecraft 😔
i miss the scaryness in sso. it had so many mysterys. like the screaming in the castle at night or those fridge doors. it used to be a scary game, which made it exciting to play
I really miss the old sso, the friendships were better, it was super fun even as a non star rider. I feel bad cuz the old sso will never return, missing it lots. It was alot better before, even tho we have much more horses, more areas to explore, but the old one was actually better :'[
Honestly I really miss that sense of joy whenever holidays would happen. I started around 2015/2016 but couldn't be on all the time for school and life stuff. I don't have many memories of the game since I couldn't be on all the much but the ones I do flood back with old sso videos from og players. RIP my original account :( I think I made it to level 8 or 9 but I've recently come back and even though its changed from what I knew I mean hey It's still around.
cool video!! :D i remember the genuine joy i felt when i was like 12 and got to repair the bridge to epona, or opening the gate to golden hills, doing the quests on the dark core oil island, learning to jump at steves farm, wait for the bus in fort pinta with the ticket in your rucksack, always riding past starshine in greendale forest without knowing who that lonely horse was, seeing the giant stone statues of the soulriders' horses near dews farm in the mountains for the first time, genuinely searching for stars or just buying a new stick horse from your own star coins for the first time. i miss the old times. i feel like i'm not as mad as some ppl seem to be about star stable changing so immensly but the lack of storyline, lack of feeling invested in the world of jorvik and not having that feeling of being so connected with the people and npcs ingame anymore is a huge and understandable reason for many players to criticize the game today.
it's just not like old times anymore but i have to admit that the change also has positive sides to it :)

I miss there old graphics there was always something just different with the old grass and art design like you said, sso are now like other games, and not unique as I thought it used to be I have started playing since 2017 and ever since 2017 up to 2022 has changed and its kind of a sad change..

Totally agree with all that you`ve said Mia. It really just doesn`t feel anything like it used to. When we had the old graphics, I used to log on just to go for a ride in the evenings, because it was a joy to ride through the scenery. I don`t do it anymore. I tried, but, the feeling has gone. It saddens me so much what SSO has turned into. :(
I stopped playing the game quite some time ago, so I'm not sure if this was still going on or has some relevance to Star Stable as it is now. I just wish there was more to do with reputation factions apart with the Circles of Aideen. There was Sun and Lightning last I checked. The activities/rewards were alright, but I always feel like more could've been done there. Or I could just be salty about never getting Moon Circle rep unlocked XD
I don't know if it's true or not but I heard they removes those fractions and quests all together...

well… i miss the old star stable because it was different. it was not like other horse games. today all we see is the new graphics, butterflies flying around, a barbie-like music and all this pink stuff.
that’s not the star stable i know.. the old star stable was so beautiful because of its story. you didn’t come to jorvik to take selfie’s with your horse. you didn’t come there to buy the newest and coolest horses! you were there to safe jorvik. to stop and defeat GED and darkcore.
everything was so mysterious! and now you know everything, evertime. that’s also a thing that i hate, all the spoilers. yeah, spoilers were cool at first, but now it destroyed the game for me. star stable even spoilers themself, and i think that’s too much. things should just come. but that’s my opinion.
i just want the old feeling back of bonding with horses, and being someone in this world.
for me star stable used to feel so unreal and like magic. i played it with a friend and we were screaming bc we almost unlocked the dino valley. now that spark is no longer there and im playing it just to train mu horses and get the few reputation blockers to go away. ive been playing since 2013 and so much have changed...
I started playing around 2017-2018, so I havent been here for all of this. I feel sad knowing I’ll never experience the old game everyone know and loved. I hope the team fixes this because it sounds pretty depressing. Rip old star stable
this game will never be the way it used to be. I started playing this the year it was released. And continued for like more than 8 years. It has changed so much from the time I have played. It was more peaceful and empty back then. The perfect way to relax urself. I have recently logged on to my old account and I can't believe how much it has changed. Like the crusty musty starter horse IS GONE- and who remembers cookie swirl C and her old sso videos...-
I think at the bridge in Goldenhills valley to the stable has the old hoove sounds, makes me nostalgic, dont tell them to fix it!

If the company wanted to change the game, they should have created a separate game instead of ruining the current star stable 😒 I miss star stable from 2016-2017 😢❤️
I miss the community. I’m on a dutch server with a lot of toxic children who love to fight with people. And now I really don’t like coming online. I’ve played the game since 2012 and I don’t mind the changes but I do miss old sso.
i really loves star stable like so much it was my life when i was younger but i didnt started playing it like in 2013 i only started playing it in 2018 but it changed so much even from then i really miss everything like the storyes that people made when we were younger its like a coultural shock to see somone not remembering some of the series on youtube becasues it was the old times the graphic its just so much worse its too much and yeah its starting to be a little fortnithys and the horses i cant even look at the new horses anymore i just look at them and being like betrayel thats all i can think of i dont know if you all are remember but cerep is one of the things its still a thing but it was so much better back then and the clubs are the worst you get invited in one and then they do nothing never talk never do anything its so bad i actually really like the tasks now i like the story but its going so so so slow i just really miss the old star stable
I think nowadays sso dose't listen to what we want anymore, they just do what they want.. threre Not listening to us players anymore.
i’ve been playing star stable autumn riders recently and oh my gosh the sounds and music are so nostalgic
I started around end 2016 or begin 2017 so I don’t play as long as most old(er) players but long enough to notice that much has changed and know a bit how it first was (i think i played like a year or a year and half before they really started to change things) and I stil really love star stable and I can’t lie I play (almost) everyday but they (keep) change(ing) things so much and if they keep changing thing I think to maybe stop soon because I miss how it was (like when I started)
In my case I stopped enjoying SSO when they segregated players from general servers to special servers for individual countries. Global chat had a completely different vibe. With rich variety of languages on the server, finding friends and clubs from your country was a great part of the game. Now I want to ignore all the players on my server. It's not the same when everyone I see is just another player of the same nationality.
I really wish there was an option to play original star stable as well as the new version. After all they're basically two completely different games, so I think it would make more sense. Back in the day of original star stable every time you logged on and played it was like an adventure. I could play for hours without getting bored. Now the whole experience of the revamped version is just boring.
I’m level 23 on sso I’ve been playing sso since there second birthday I miss a lot I also miss I believe it was star rider weekends so none star riders can play with there friends still but I miss the quest like they always added them now it’s a lack of it I didn’t grow out of sso just felt sad that there isn’t much to do
The new players (I'm not offending them) can't feel the magic of old game that we used to play. I'm almost 14 today and even if i'm still young i started to play star stable in 2014 at the age of 6. The old content, the old graphics was just so magic to me. I was playing every single day untill the 2018 silvergrade graphics update. In this one day the whole magic disappeared. But i was still playing, because Epona was still the old one. When it changed too I stop playing this game for good. And now, don't get me wrong - the new graphics are really good (specially GHV) but if something is good it doesn't mean that it's the same. As much as I loved this game I won't play it anymore, I just can't feel the vibe. It would be amazing if SSO will add some kind of 2nd server with the old graphics and old events. I know that it won't happen, because Star Stable wants to take care of the actual game, but isn't it something that we all want? The old players could feel nostalgia, when the new players could see the "good old times". When someone won't like it they could just move to the normal Star Stable
The fact that the old game has so much to it that I used to play everyday even though I was stuck in Moorland all the time due to not being a star rider.
They need to open a starstable classic server

All the roads in game are now "easy" to ride through, before we had to avoid or jump over things to get past. It just feels way to easy

Im so upset about old sso i miss it so much, even in the weekend the whole disco used to be full of players dancing in discoclothes, now there is no one there. I miss old sso i wish the gen 3 horses never came and i wish there were more story quests and old lisa linda alex and anne were back
I feel like it used to be more popular. Like bigger TH-camrs were playing it. Now I feel like it has a very small community.
I joined Star Stable in the winter of 2019. There was the winter village, and that was the last year Santa Claus was there I believe. I may be wrong about that. If I’m going to be honest, I was tired of all the quests I had. Now that I’m level 21 and having absolutely nothing to do, I would give literally ANYTHING to have a quest. Yes, the new Equestrian Festival quests came out, but what the heck? Half of them only gave horse xp. Last time I checked, there’s only supposed to be character xp unless it’s a race or something different. I have all my horses maxed, I don’t have enough star coins for a new horse and I’m not buying star coins without double weekend, so I was stuck doing the quests with a maxed horse and literally wasting over 5,000 xp. I’m not even joking. Sabine’s daily race gives you 1,000 horse xp, and now that all the other races have double xp, they’re 800. There’s 4 races, so 800 • 4 = 3,200. Add 1,000, Sabine’s race, and that’s 4,200. Then there’s picking the trash up and picking the flowers, which is 200 combined, add that and it’s 4,400. If you get all of Scott’s animals, that’s another 1,200 xp. In total, if you maxed all of your horses and cannot afford another, you will have wasted 5,600 horse xp (For the festival races). You may ask why I even did the races. Well, it was for the Jorvik shillings. But listen to this: Star Stable gave us double horse xp, but not double shillings. It’s so obvious! Once we max a horse, let’s say it was the last one, they want you to buy another horse so you don’t waste xp. It’s simple. All SSO wants now is money. All they want is to keep earning and earning and earning. This has GOT to stop. I hope there’s some people standing with me on this. The only reason I’m still on this game is one friend. She is my best friend and I am not leaving her side. Sorry that this was a pretty long comment, but I hope I got my point across and spread the word to someone.
They should add more horse care for sure.

I do like the new horses in SSO but I prefere the old graphics of the game, it was more realistic and the texture was way more detailed. They downgraded the graphics 🤦♀️ The rocks + water + trees look so wierd now, without soul :(
I also liked the old horses, bc the artstyle was so unique. The new horses ( I ❤ them too) look sometimes a bit like moded horses from sims 3 😅

My 10th reason is absolutely the music :( the music was so wonderful and they removed all of the old songs. I don’t even know why, because the new music is really basic compared to the old music and it gets so old
However crusty the comic book graphic style was, it had more charm
There is only 1 thing I absolutely miss - horses. They removed all realism and now I feel more like I ride a motorcycle rather than horse.Of course it look like horse and have horse animations but besides they seems kinda lifeless.
So, I have recently decided to replay the quests on a new account. And let me tell you, it's a mess sometimes xd Like when there's the quest when you first meet Sabine (In the Vineyard). Sabine has this crusty old model. Not so far away you have the updated baroness, and these two models look like they're from completely different games. Also! At the same time, when you go to the Equestrian festival in Jorvik, you can see the Fortnite updated Sabine. Soo.. Imagine how confused the actual new players must be xd
The one thing I miss AND REGRET is selling that red jumping jacket from the riding hall
i honestly miss the way buying new horses would make you feel - it was much more exciting and new, and compared to today you wouldn't be judged for riding horses from older generations.

I have never had chance to know the old star stable....i started playing it since 2019 but i no longer go on to the game every day...because i cant afford star rider. And iam bored because when i log on, and there is no event, I can only do daily tasks in fort pinta and moorland but the problem is, over the years, the 2 of my horses are already level 15 so theres literally NOTHING to do in the game anymore. Iam currently level 15 and I did that only through free star rider codes....i cant do anything but do outfits, wait for updates (that are pointless to me), and only sometimes, train with my friends. And i feel like that the old sso is awesome, even the bad graphics, it looks way too much fun than this star stable, I just....want to see it on my own....

Everything in this game is just so lifeless now. I still play, but I took about a one or two year break a while back, and when I finally logged back on I was so disappointed. I've been playing this game for around 9 years or so, and honestly its declined so much. The old horses had so much more personality to them, the Landscaping was pleasing to look at and so unique compared to any other game I've ever played. Like everybody else in this comment section is saying, Star Stable really just lost its uniqueness and it's magic. And not only that, the community has changed so much. And not in a good way if I'm being honest. I remember how much fun I used to have role-playing. You had to be really creative sometimes and that was part of the fun. This game has no magic or challenge left to it. All they do now is throw the occasional half-assed quests at us, and bombard us with horses. I remember how exciting it used to be when they came out with a new horse, and how unique they used to be. Now it just feels like they're copy and pasting everything. It really is sad to see how my favorite childhood game is just gone. It doesnt even feel like the same game anymore.... I really wish i could go back to the days of chunky horses, cool storylines, and a fun community.
I just wish the old gen horses weren’t as broken as they are now ;-; so I can get my ounce of happy brain juice to remember when the game was good.

Hey Mia, I was wondering… what’s your opinion on our designated soul horse? I’ve been talking to my friends about it and most of them said they can’t seem to bring themselves to love their starter and would prefer if SSO allowed people to change soul horses which is an idea that isn’t unheard of. Just wondering seeing that you’re one of the veteran players. Thank you :D
I don't like the starter horse at all lol I think it is boring and lifeless. The old starters were better- but it just doesn't blend in with the other soul horses. Starshine, Tin Can, Meteor, Concorde are all very unique horses. Our starter horse is just... there. I rather we pick our soul horse! I would choose the brown percheron today, but back in the day I would have selected the brown thoroughbred. I named them both Guardiansdale.
@@MiaTheGamer I agree. In terms of uniqueness, only the colors can stand out but the model itself isn’t much to be praised. I used to love my starter but ever since the model changed I had difficulty associating with it to the point I just changed its pattern cause seeing it makes me sad. Nowadays I prefer the brown tobiano Tinker horse, a better upgrade to the old tobiano starter! I hope SSO implements chnaging your Soul Horse one day. Thanks again, Mia! 💕

I still hear my horse making noise? It huffs when I run fast, and makes snorting noises
