once i’ve been offline for around 11 weeks since the game has been VERY boring lately. I left the game with 400 or so SC. i’ve returned with the same amount NO Starcoins have been given to my account mind you im a lifetime starrider for years now.

I loved unique and cartoony style of old sso and g1 horses. Now every horse game is trying to be realistic, which makes sso's new art style not so unique, or, hot take, even appealing. Like, almost every new horse breed looks the same (unless it's a very unique breed like friesian or arabian). I know that they used to re-use the same models for multiple breeds, but damn, now that they're "putting more effort" and they still look the fucking same? Also magic horses are almost all ugly and they killed their uniqueness

I remember when it actually took 3-5 days to max the horse level. Now we have races that we can do whenever we want and max out the horse in just few hours. SSO seriously has lost all of its magic. Everything is already given and so boring. The way they changed all the characters personalities etc. I really dont understand... Im glad I was able to experience the old SSO - it was perfect.

In the latest story quest the darkriders asked Elise/Chio why she appeared in the shape of a little girl with a stick horse. Remember that the darkriders are NOT human? They can change their appearance as they like. So did Mr Sands and Elise/Chio. They should have kept the name Elise though. Simply because it's the original name. Changing names 10+ years later after the story start is not okay.

I just took Butterscotch out of storage and the rubber of her muzzle is melting 😳😭 These weren't even sold in my country so it was so hard to get one, but I'm at least glad my daughter got to enjoy her.

I loved the show jumping game part of it - that was there from when I joined and then after the revamp too. I got really good at it after a while. It was fun. There were jumps made out of wood or stone or something else. I never really interacted with other players I just liked the mini game aspect.

What if sso brough back some of the old features like the music and the graphics, that would bring back a little bit of nostalgia

44:30 Let's say that the lore book is really lost. Game creators still should learn about the plot of the game. There is a hudge fandom that creates gameplays of Starshine Legacy or Jorvikpedia, informations of the lore are remaining in the internet. It's not like the book is missing - we have no source of information about the game.

It would be so cool to attend the same school that was in Star shine Legacy with the Soul Riders, build up friendships with them, as well as rivalries with the Dark Riders.

It's awful writing really. The game tells, but doesn't show. I remember how Starshine Legacy built up their friendships and made them feel real.

One thing everyone seems to be overlooking about Ydris is that despite his arrogance and god complex, you ever notice how much he does actually acknowlegde and appreciate our character's specialness and helpfulness to him in some quests where we help him out (especially evident in the questline with Isebell when we helped save his show)? Even in most of his mystery fortunes that contain warnings of peril for you, HE makes an effort to help YOU. Especially psychologically. Like bro gives a lot of wise words and helpful advice to empower you as a person, and he's definitely the kind of frienemy that's an overall good sport about loosing to you. THAT's what got me hooked & head over heels more than I had for any character or irl person before him. He may seem arrogant/egotistical, but he acknowledges you, and hints that he understands your value and importance to the world. 😭🥰 Not to mention, he's more complex than most know, and I'm planning on making a thing that talks about him in depth. I haven't played thru ALL the story yet tho, so it will be quite a long time before I do.

This genuinely made me cry

I've been playing since 2014 and have 6 accounts and agree with everything in this video. I used to love Dino Valley, and spent SO much time in there. But without the Kalters and their little dailies to collect stuff, I rarely go in there now. And regular horses used to slow down in there because of the cold, and you needed the faster Fjords, etc to get around. I also loved doing Champs, and still have dozens and dozens of ribbons. But they have absolutely RUINED some of the champs now. The pony champ with the ridiculous balloons and 'whooshy' things, and same with Valedale Champ and Fort Pinta. I don't even try them anymore because what used to be a fun experience to be the fastest is now just an exercise in frustration at all the obstacles. The only thing they changed on the champs that I do like is the ability to practice them. If they ever change the Jorvik champ, I'll be so angry! That has always been my fave champ. I still play daily, but spend most of my time buying a few horses when they are on sale and then gathering fireflies, finding hidden satchels and the wild horses, and training them up that way.

okay oddly enough I never spend anything on that game and had over like 50 horses the last time I remember going on there besides the default horse. then again I played the game for h o u r s as a kid doing everything I possibly could in the game and over time just kept getting new horses and foals

I've never really thought about it since I wasn't interested in the wild horses, but sso could've easily done something similar to how we came to own Spirit - find the horse we wanted, build trust and eventually offer them something like we gave the apple to Spirit. I cannot tell you how exciting it was to plan out where to go just to see Spirit back in the day. All they had to do was recreate what they did back then and the only explanation I can give for why they didn't is because they can't be bothered.

Have been playing since 2013 but took a break in 2019 until now. This is so nostalgic and beautiful. After losing all of my Gen1 horses (I logged back in and they were jjust... gone?) this video warms my heart. I loved star stable. But now its just.... yeah :(

I loved this game so much when i was younger, i went back and played it a few months before it got shut down but the world was like completely empty. I moved onto HorseIsle 2 when i was a teenager and it's also a ghost town now 😢
