i always just did my pop tornado with just a cross over step. i like it cause it takes out the extra kicks that you have to do and you get the same momentom
@ninoboy213 ya the basic punches and kick combos would be the best.... i have use some flashy moves and they have worked in a fight before. not like any backflips
@gremlinextreme101 if you want to do pop tornado 2 btwist, just do it... is no matter of the movements, the chains are not written, if you have the enought momentum you can do pop tornado 2 btwist whit no problems
great tutorial man =) but i have 2 questions 1: should we land on both legs or the kicking leg like 540 and wushu tornado kicks 2: should the kick be a crescent or a round house? or it doesnt matter
@satansabitch nooo it's a pop tornado even in capoeira the regular tornado kick starts witha cheat setup, but this uses the pop setup to tornado the parafuso is a different kisk, it's like the doubleleg but the legs starts separated, and the middle of the trick you put it together
at what age did you start gymnastics? im 14 and ive been doing kung fu in 1 year now and i can do tornado kick and those stuff... is it a realy good thing that i try the front flip ? i can do front flip and backflip on trampoline...
really nice tutorial!! and i second the guy below me - with the sideflip full tutorial request :D that could be very helpful keep making those tutorials - your awesome :P
ok epic this tutorial is Beast like all your other tutorials, but i just have an off topic Q... This BG looks like Colorado, somewhere near Federal. Where is it?
Hey epic, i love the tutorials and love how u redo them over time!! Ive learned quite a few moves from u and i was wondering if you would redo this tutorial?!?!
nice dog and if i can monkey flip does that mean i can backhandspring i can do a backtuck ina jumping castle standing still its easy i wont to no would i be able to do it on ground
@netnavi4 these trick moves are cool and yes if you can land them in a fight power to you cause they are powerful but i wouldnt recomend it i would go with just really basics for me its the most effective and you stay in the best controle. simpler is better
I see. Haha, and all this time I thought that "backside" was a setup and "pop" was a rotation amount. Thanks for clarifying that for me, I'll try and remember that while practicing my "material arts". ;-) But back to the tutorial, do you think that maybe it's got those different movements in the title in one tutorial because they are so similar he thought that he could cover them both with the pop Tornado in one video? Just a thought (with total agreement with what you're saying). :-)
When learning how to spin faster and better. Try jumping high and spinning slowly with you arms tucked in. When you feel comfortable speed it up. Also try and spin both ways. You balance will get better.
@Epic1 bad idea, u never know if the other guy is with someone else if u r in the ground his friend can go and kick u and u wouldnt have many chances to win, so i would let the ground as a last resource. believe me, personal experience
hahaha you sai you are tored from talking not tired from flying through the air thats funny. good tutorial i think u make some of the best tutorials you and that juju dude or wateva hes called lol
This is going to sound wierd, but I think your pop tornado would look at better if It was actually lower. instead of going straight down, it would go more across, which seems better to me. Just a suggestion, learning lots off you.
lol yeah... the reason that i made that tutorial was because of the ridiculously complicated people were doing to try to learn that trick. i was just like "cheat setup. valdez." suddenly they were able to do it XD and yeahh.... hmm..... i might be able to make a quick tips tutorial. we'll see. if you message me on Facebook i can give you some protips on learning 9's XD
they're just both stances XD and.... no, i don't think so- otherwise i wouldn't have said that it was "false". The only way to hook into backside 9 is if you take an extra step, which would basically turn it into hook to cheat 9. and they're actually very different technique-wise if you try them :P and nobody really cares what your stance or rotation is when you're doing a combo. but if you incorrectly identify a trick some people get really upset ;P
well when you get into it "technically", the pop stance and backside stance are opposite of one another, with backside being your hook leg toward your target and pop being your round leg toward your target. people do it differently, so the "exact angle" is completely arbitrary. but in general, they should takeoff opposite to one another. And um... I'm pretty sure pop/backside notation is universal for tricking and material arts. Rotation is not.
Ah, I see what your saying. What is the difference if you wouldn't mind explaining further? But then, even if it's not the same thing where you live, it could be the same where someone else lives. For example, where I live freerunning and parkour are different, but I've been to "parkour communities" where they consider them to be the same thing. What you call the movement depends on so many different things. (Where I live a "pop 360" is often called a "helicopter kick"). o.0 (Happy tricking!)
Oh well. I like your tutorials though, your raiz touchdown video was way easier to learn then my backwards-tornado-thing-idea (If that makes any sense). And as for that tutorial, I'll just have to learn it the way you did: without you explaining it to yourself? :-P Haha, happy tricking! :-D
Haha, what a coincidence seeing you here. But I'm not sure what you mean by "false". How can this be "false"? He's breaking down a movement in his own words, just as you would if you explained how to get the movement down. In no way am I disrespecting You or Epic, but I fail to see how this tutorial can be called "false". If your clarification could help anyone of us improve our movements then please share! No one minds getting better. -Keep it FRESH ;-)
hahah goodluck ^_^ and no, if there's enough demand i can make a cheat 9 tutorial, but my backside 9 isn't good enough that i would want to make a tutorial.
Not be an ass or terminology police, but in my opinion that's more of a FS9 than a BS9, for the BS9 you have to be facing away from the direction your combo is moving. But I guess you know that lol.
@netnavi4 In a real fight i would never suggest any flashy tricks unless you absolutely know they wont just well kill you lol...... Stick to the basics like your knife hands, your punches, and your kicks. Have fun and stay safe!
I can't do any of these...but the teaching is so natural that I want to go out and try it. Thanks man. Please keep them coming!!
Haha everytime i watch you tutorials i always have a notebook with me to take notes of everything about the trick, it helps a lot! Thanks ;)
one of my fav kicks to perform. been doing that for years. but i like doing multiples in one turn. very good tutorial.
nisa is an obedient dog !!
u r also a dog trainer !
u r a multitalented person !!
i always just did my pop tornado with just a cross over step. i like it cause it takes out the extra kicks that you have to do and you get the same momentom
Thank you for this TUTORIAL....This helped alot SUPERB!!
@ninoboy213 ya the basic punches and kick combos would be the best.... i have use some flashy moves and they have worked in a fight before. not like any backflips
El perrito es un Clásico muy buenos vídeos sirven mucho man!
@gremlinextreme101 if you want to do pop tornado 2 btwist, just do it... is no matter of the movements, the chains are not written, if you have the enought momentum you can do pop tornado 2 btwist whit no problems
@NateHitpas the C Back 9 is one more twist than pop tornado kick, and use, logically, the cheat setup
I get it now I always taking an extra step before my Tornado Kick thanks Epic
which kind of exercises are good for learning to jump higher?
your kicks are so clean...can you do a full split or full sidesplit?
if u were in a real fight, what moves would you use out of all of the moves you know. Any flashy moves?
great tutorial man =)
but i have 2 questions 1: should we land on both legs or the kicking leg like 540 and wushu tornado kicks 2: should the kick be a crescent or a round house? or it doesnt matter
Do you need to be able to do a goo split for this kick??
@satansabitch nooo it's a pop tornado even in capoeira
the regular tornado kick starts witha cheat setup, but this uses the pop setup to tornado
the parafuso is a different kisk, it's like the doubleleg but the legs starts separated, and the middle of the trick you put it together

Hey Epic! What video camera are you using for your tutorials?
What's your martial arts background? Black belt in Karate or Taekwondo or something?
@Epic1 how many times did you fight someone ? :D and how many times win or how many times lose?
Hey epic, i love the tutorials and love how u redo them over time!! Ive learned quite a few moves from u and i was wondering if you would redo this tutorial?!?!
Nicely done.
And by the way, I like your dog! :)
@netnavi4 epic, all i asked was what kind of moves would u use...
nice dog and if i can monkey flip does that mean i can backhandspring i can do a backtuck ina jumping castle standing still its easy i wont to no would i be able to do it on ground

@netnavi4 these trick moves are cool and yes if you can land them in a fight power to you cause they are powerful but i wouldnt recomend it i would go with just really basics for me its the most effective and you stay in the best controle. simpler is better
Jesus explaining how to do a Pop Tornado ... this can't get any better ...
I see. Haha, and all this time I thought that "backside" was a setup and "pop" was a rotation amount. slow mo looks great with your long hair! ^^
When learning how to spin faster and better. Try jumping high and spinning slowly with you arms tucked in. When you feel comfortable speed it up. Also try and spin both ways. You balance will get better.
Did you learn martial arts before parkour?
At about 4:35 I heard the "Go Go Power Rangers" beep that they use for their Com watches....lol. Awesome.
Former Jujimufu??
@Epic1 bad idea, u never know if the other guy is with someone else if u r in the ground his friend can go and kick u and u wouldnt have many chances to win, so i would let the ground as a last resource. believe me, personal experience
Hey, can you do a video of how you stretch your legs? That would be awesome, thanks.
@Epic1 yeah because this is tricking not fighting :D peace 'n' love
I love your dog.
I lol'd when the power ranger ringtone went off xD
Next white ranger?

@netnavi4 Its for tricking. He never said you had to fight with these moves. Its all for show.
Sweet vid it cleared a lot up for me =D
Thanks for the tutorial! Did it. :)

they're just both stances XD and.... no, i don't think so- otherwise i wouldn't have said that it was "false". The only way to hook into backside 9 is if you take an extra step, which would basically turn it into hook to cheat 9. and they're actually very different technique-wise if you try them :P

1:21 "It's very simple"
haha that guy thinks everyone is Jackie Chan XD
well when you get into it "technically", the pop stance and backside stance are opposite of one another, with backside being your hook leg toward your target and pop being your round leg toward your target. people do it differently, so the "exact angle" is completely arbitrary. but in general, they should takeoff opposite to one another.

Alpha and zordon are prolly in danger because you ignored your power ranger alarm lol :D
new tutorial thx :D
best teacher :D
it looks like a drop kick and a butterlfy kick at the same time :O
....... does he not look like Tommy from power rangers????
Oh well. I like your tutorials though, your raiz touchdown video was way easier to learn then my backwards-tornado-thing-idea (If that makes any sense). And as for that tutorial, I'll just have to learn it the way you did: without you explaining it to yourself? :-P Haha, happy tricking! :-D
This looks like a tae kwon do kick called a not-a-bon( not sure how you spell it).
if you landed this in a fight you'd become famous
Before you try a new trick or move, my heart beats extremely fast, but that's just an adrenaline rush.
I will message you on Facebook when, on my next session, I inevitably land on my face. Thanks Stratus! :-D Happy tricking, and keep it FRESH!
@Epic1 lol I'd rather just get the sleeper hold and some elbows
@johnhelmes he's Tommy! lol
4:34 dude, zordon wants you.
OMG I looked @ my phone when the power rangerssong went on because I have the exact same text ring!
just give me your powers....now it will make life easier for me
You spelled tornado wrong in the title. Great tutorial still.
i dont think anyone one forgot....we all heard your "cell phone" go off ^^
I think some of your videos are too long, have you tried editing? Then you would be more percise, but I still like your tutorials!!
Haha, what a coincidence seeing you here. But I'm not sure what you mean by "false". How can this be "false"? THNKS A LOT!
hahah goodluck ^_^ and no, if there's enough demand i can make a cheat 9 tutorial, but my backside 9 isn't good enough that i would want to make a tutorial.
He actually looks like Tommy from 3rd rock from the sun.
@Epic1 cause he's thuggin it every day. lol, drop flips and kicks tho.
i heard it too!!! that was kinda cool lol
I don't think the last part of PR is a compliment... :D
you should how to do all the moves in a real fight
Not be an ass or terminology police, but in my opinion that's more of a FS9 than a BS9, for the BS9 you have to be facing away from the direction your combo is moving. But I guess you know that lol.
Skullsnapper BS9 would have 180+ degrees or atleast 90+
@netnavi4 In a real fight i would never suggest any flashy tricks unless you absolutely know they wont just well kill you lol...... Stick to the basics like your knife hands, your punches, and your kicks. Have fun and stay safe!
