As a mexican, Huitzil is cool in my eyes, but as in Darkstalkers featuring monsters-based characters from around the globe, it would be cool if mexican monsters- based characters would be added or prefered a lot more

Not necessarily because of wish fulfillment, but because I’m always a sucker for the trope of young kids forming unbreakable bonds with monsters or otherwise dangerous beings. It’s so freaking adorable.

i always took it that both cecil and anita would be rulers of humanity(cecil guiding advancement with the huitzil and anita connecting the human realm with makai with morrigans help.) and i loved how the huitzil in the ovas started out destroying everything to keep the universe from being an uncontrollable disaster but realize that the darkstalkers and their intent to fight is needed and decide to destroy pyron before he becomes a destructive ruler, i could see that alongside cecil and anitas power to become humanities saviors being a big reason for jedah creating the majigen if an ova based on the 3rd game were to be made.(lol also huitzil punching lilith in the butt is funny:3.)
Maybe with the absence of Sentinel in MVCI, Phobos/Huitzil should be present in this game as a playable character. He would be so much fun to play and we need our TOKEN robot!
I know the Mayans existed in Mexico, but it would've been cool if they used the Mayan location as an excuse to include a less represented Central American country in a fighting game roster, like Nicaragua.
Even though I do like Huitzil, I feel like there was a big missed opportunity to have a more faithful adaptation of the actual Huitzilopochtli, or at the very least an Aztec character named Huitzil. Still, if there ever is going to be another game, hopefully they put in monsters/figures from Latin America

He's like the sentinel from the x-men children of atom where it has the same stage as him & when he loses the match 2 times, both the giant robots from the background collapses & he's more like bumblebee in transformers

Sadly, there's some inconcistencies: 1 the place huitzil was found in teotihuacan corresponds to the Aztec culture witch was settled down in the center of Mexico, while Cecil is a Mayan kid, culture that was settled in the south part of Mexico, part of Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador, thus, that would be impossible for a kid to make such travel alone. Perhaps a misunderstanding. 2. What came first? The story or the model? If it was the story, huitzil should have had a different style, if it was the model, huitzil should have a different location. And for the record: Falcon Aztec, from Megaman Zero first game, was supposed to be based on Huitzilopochtli, but the idea where rejected since hummingbirds wasn't as imposing as they wanted it to be.

I always found so cool the way Huitzil protects Cecil with a force field when the opponent hits him with a special attack
