My friend is a guru transmission mechanic he has over 700,000 miles on his 2001 original engine and transmission . He always uses royal purple and drains replaces 3 quarts transmission fluid every oil change made it easy by getting aftermarket pan with drain plug . Not to mention he drives like he belongs in nascar !
My dad use to have this car in white. He had it customized and it looked beautiful. I enjoyed riding in it because I felt so high up being in. Too bad he had to sell it for money.
Just got my license and I'm getting a 2007 Chevy 1500. Half ton. I haven't seen the truck myself yet though. It has a back seat and I was wondering if it's anything like this truck?
One of the most underrated things was the rear differential being further off the ground than Dodge and Ford. Helps if you do a poor man's lift lol. Each truck make has their own specialty. Ford has the frame, Chevy has suspension and Dodge has the engine. Put em together and you have a tank. MY OPINION anyway, don't start firing insults my way because you disagree.
Man I just got my first American truck 2007 4x4 v8 5.3 silverado chevy I was a Toyota kind of guy I loved the cars but when I drove the truck I had to get it i love the power and 4×4 it's great for the snow.
Here I am 12 years later with my 2007 Silverado 1500 5.3 liter. Love it! Great in the winter and it has 139,000. Original motor and transmission.
My 01 chevy 1500 just hit 350,000... 40 miles of dirt roads every day and lots of fence posts and hay for the horses
Thanks for the suggestion.
I have a 2007 Silverado 4x4 with the 5.3 V8. Over 108000 miles and still going strong.

Still have mine with 122,230 miles on it original motor and everything crisp interior other than the cracked dash
What are the bed lengths? And how well is the turning radius for the longer beds in the extended cab and crew cabs?

I think the Chevy Silverado / gmc Sierra is good enough to be my truck.

to me, and if u think about it, tundra isnt rlly even half the truck silverado is, but u have a point and im agreeing with u
Does Brian G still stand by his overall view of the truck? My only complaint is that he reviewed the top tier instead of the middle LT tier
@Pluddou with trucks you need those engines for hauling, but in cars and suvs, we just like to have power, the git up and go.
The real question is: Are you good enough to be the driver?
