Being with someone who wants to solve issues is important. It shows that they really want to be with you.
My ex always made me feel like there was no fixing anything and I’d just wait for him to stop being angry and stone walling me. He’d treat me even worse than before because he felt justified because there was “no solution” and of course everything was always “my fault”. Luckily we’re no longer together and now I know to wait for a prince who treats me like a princess👑

If a person is controlling, possessive, and gaslighting, or constantly assuming things when your not communicating with them could that be fixed with therapy? Especially if they go back and forth with you and say your the problem then say they were wrong and it’s a constant cycle? @Taty Cokley Side Note:we have a child together but we’re not together there is also a history of abuse
I’m not Taty but I feel like willingness to acknowledge the abuse this person is doing to others, and the willing to fix it is a first step before considering therapy. You could suggest someone to go to therapy and their therapist revealing to them they’re an abuser and they would lash out and deny it, they need to recognize this trait first then see if they’re willing to fix it or not.
