Hi it was a super day when I did it, was windy but the sun was out, I'm 75 needed help from my orbea m 30 ebike, top marks to you on a day like that 😮

Chapeau for getting to the top - regardless of the bike, it’s a tough haul up to the top and that you’re doing it at 75 is inspirational to me. I hope that I’ll be able to do the same! I also dream of the day when the weather is good for a ride up there - it’s been wet and windy on both of my previous attempts. Oh, well, one day, perhaps!
If this style of climb is one you ‘enjoy’, then I can also commend Bealach na Ba up in Scotland. It’s a bit bigger that GDF, but the views from the top on a good day are fabulous. Oh, and there’s a great cafe down in Applecross at the bottom on the West side… 😉. Sadly, I can’t offer a video as I rode it before I got my GoPro, but it is on the list to get back and film…

Fair play for that one, looked a bit hairy at the top with the weather!!

Cheers! The climb was interesting, but the descent was a whole different level - I found out later that the wind speeds were around 60mph...

Yeah turns out that up there one of the fastest recorded wind speeds in Britain 💨

The worst part was that I had to walk _down_ the steep gully section... 😂

It started out OK - a bit breezy, but no problem - and just got worse and worse as I ascended. I met the two walkers on the way back down and they told me it had been savage on the tops since the previous day (they’d been staying in one of those bunker/shelter things and it had been freezing cold)...
