We heard the sad news that not long after this recording was made, Okumu passed away. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends.

Emotionally charged memorial song, so beautifully done, notice how he balances the beat level with his feet, catching his breath between singing and how he gazes in pain. This track is a memorial to the artist's dad almost like he passed on the other day

This is a very sad piece. In it, Okum foretells his imminent demise(pending departure from this world) According to the song, he believes that one day he'd only exist in memory. (Okumu nogana kaka nogan Nyakako ka Sewe...kaka nogan Omwombo ka Agola...) And true to his words, he died shortly after this. RIP Ojwang' Wuod Karapul!
